Ogrofta heals 5 hit points. Seeing the abandoned corridor and the cleric and the mage adjacent to each other, the huge nalfeshnee flies to the entrance of the corridor and bites down on the cleric and then on Rav!

Damage: 3d8 + 27 ⇒ (4, 4, 5) + 27 = 40 and Cleave
Power attack on Rav: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31

Finally, brightly colored lights start flowing and building up through the nalfeshnee's porcine body. Rav knows this is an innate ability of nalfeshnee called an Unholy Nimbus and that the flash of energy will explode next round and affect all within a 60' radius with visions of madness if not resisted.

Elise will activate her aura of Heroism as a swift action, this give same bonus as heroism spell to all allies within 30' from her, which is everyone currently. Note this will only give +1 more to hit as it overlaps with Hero's Feast. Adds to saves though as well.

She then empower channels to heal allies, and excludes baddies.. Will not reach Siggut..

Dimension slide, move action, no AOO, 1arcane pt:
Dimensional Slide (Su) (Advanced Class Guide pg. 11 (Amazon)): The arcanist can expend 1 point from her arcane reservoir to create a dimensional crack that she can step through to reach another location. This ability is used as part of a move action or withdraw action, allowing her to move up to 10 feet per arcanist level to any location she can see. This counts as 5 feet of movement. She can only use this ability once per round. She does not provoke attacks of opportunity when moving in this way, but any other movement she attempts as part of her move action provokes as normal

Rav moves as far and high back as possible (max 130ft) while maintaining line of sight on a spot to the NE of the nalfashnee so he can hit it with a Dazing Fireball and not affect any of his companions

Nerfed Dazing :
You can daze creatures with the power of your spells.
Benefit: You can modify a spell to daze a creature damaged by the spell. When a creature takes damage from this spell, they become dazed for a number of rounds equal to the original level of the spell. If the spell allows a saving throw, a successful save negates the daze effect. If the spell does not allow a save, the target can make a Will save to negate the daze effect. If the spell effect also causes the creature to become dazed, the duration of this metamagic effect is added to the duration of the spell.

once a creature has been affected by Dazing every round after the first it can make a Will save to act normally for that round. If the creature is subject to continous damage (Ball Lightning for example) it receives a -2 penalty to its Will save to act normally for the round. "

the logic behind these changes is that high level enemies tend to have reflex as their poor save particularly huge and colossal enemies. Giving enemies a chance to resist the Daze round by round after the initial round with their stronger save (Will) weakens the power of Dazing metamagic significantly. I think this is a fair nerf that allows me to continue using Daze without overpowering encounters
Level Increase: +3 (a dazing spell uses up a spell slot three levels higher than the spell’s actual level.
Spells that do not inflict damage do not benefit from this feat..

The Hezrou on the inquisitor misses his claw attack.
Ogrofta sees the magic fireball and tries to dodge out of the way but fails. Unfortunately, for Rav, the fire fails to harm the Nalfeshnee. He smirks at the mage but is angered by the cleric's healing.

AoO on Malugor for ranged attack in a threatened area: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28...miss
Ogrofta Reflex save: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11..fails...but no effect.

sorry bout that. I misunderstood the map. Rav will dimension slide to the far NE corner. That should be far enough away from the Ogrofta to avoid a full attack. If it is not AND Ogrofta moves to melee attack Rav, he will erect and Emergency Force Sphere (immediate action) before the first blow can reach him.

Watching his spell fizzle Rav tries to puzzle out whether this nalfashnee is an exception to its kind being immune to fire rather than electricity or whether the more likely cause is that the clever demon prepared itself with magical protections vs fire and maybe other energy resistances as well???????


Rav, unless I am misunderstanding, your daily arcane reservoir is 9 (3+1/2 level) but you can overcharge to 16. I did not see where you posted that you gave up spell slots to do so. Am I reading it wrong?

[ooc]with the pause in the campaign things are not fresh in my mind so I went back through my posts. And I cannot find a post where I sacrificed a slot for the arcane reservoir. However I know that is my standard practice when buffing for the day.

My daily buffs are :
Mage Armor
Endure Elements
Ablative Barrier
Overland Flight
And sacrifice one of my high level slots for the arcane reservoir.

In this case it appears that I sacrificed a 6th level slot because I have cast 3 6th level spells since arriving on this plane and yet I show 0 out of 4 6th lvl available in my profiles USABLE spoiler.

I will make sure to post my daily buffs and what slot I sacrificed at the beginning of each adventuring day so we can be on the same page.

To note her Aura of Heroism that everyone is getting at the moment overrides the +1 from Hero's Feast, so everyone's saves are +1 higher.. To hit is +1 higher as well.

A bright light explodes from Ogrofta's body in a 60' radius, but the party resists the visions of madness that invade your mind and you quickly shake off any lingering effects. The Nalfeshnee is disappointed but you see the nimbus of light start to build up in his body again.

"I tire of all of you...especially the archer! It's time I show you what true power is! I will rip your heart out!"
As a swift action, with amazing speed, he flies past Elise and away from Siggut without provoking, and bites down on Malugor with the flank provided by the Hezrou, causing the inquisitor agonizing pain, as that blow alone nearly kills him!
Attack: 1d20 + 27 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 27 + 2 + 6 = 54...threat...your preacher ability will not help you.
Confirmation: 1d20 + 27 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 27 + 2 + 6 = 46...confirmed!

Ogrofta then proceeds to take a full-attack on the severely wounded inquisitor, biting him again! How the inquisitor is up is anyone's guess?

I never expected the fighting to go on in the corridor (surprise), so I foolishly made it only 10' wide, when it is obvious that Ogrofta is huge and it made no sense that he would have to squeeze through his own hallway. I have amended map to make hallway big enough to fit him.. after all, it is his house so he should fit.

Do what you need to. If you have a fate point I would suggest you use it on that first crit.. I could make him reroll it if I had a swift action not used.. My bad.. If I'm not mistaken most of us have 2 fate points, at least I do.. So unless Gm is lucky that will leave you with more hp..

Edit: You came aboard after our last fate point was given out, so it will be GM decission on if you have one. If you do not I will use one to make him reroll the bite crit.


Mal can have a fate point. But it was never my intention that they be used to have me re-roll attacks or criticals. I know Elise posted that in the Discussion thread and I apologize I never corrected you. Mal already can do that as a free action (have me re-roll) once a round when someone else is attacked. No, the Fate Points are supposed to be to prevent you from dying on a "1" Fort save against my disintegrate spell for example, allowing you a re-roll of the attack or save or whatever you wish. You control your fate kind of thing. They cannot be used to affect my rolls. Mal has the preacher ability for that for free when someone else is attacked a number of times per day.

Elise, you are sickened and grappled. AND you already went this round - you cast Grace and an empowered channel so you cannot channel again so no one heals 40 hit points. Unless I am missing something where you can channel as an immediate action or you are posting next round's action.


Summary:
After his healing, Ogrofta has taken 134 damage+28+29+28=219 damage (he looks very hurt and pissed!).

EDIT: Siggut, the creature also has a constant Unholy Aura around it so since you have struck it 3 times in melee, I need 3 DC 25 Fort saves. You can add your spell bonuses so you only probably fail on a 1. Apologize for the tardiness but high level combats are complicated. I appreciate your patience.
