<=== Just got his Gazetteer.
<=== Wonders what you guys are going to do with the money.

Bohdan, Pulsifer, don't miss the spoiler near the end of the last page.

M Human Wizard 3

Rackham's eyes light up with sudden revealation.

"The paladin on the charnel heap was a member of the Order of the Holy Sentinel. They are charged with holding back the demons of the Worldwound."

He turns to the Qadiran sorcerer.

"Aref, you mentioned a collection of books written on the subject of demonology. The presence of the Lady's servant must have something to do with those tomes."

"Furthermore, the thaumatodes infecting Calebra are reported to have come from the Worldwound. I sense a connection. We must seek the source of the strange evil in this place. I believe that it is of the greatest importance."

Sandwhisper puts his clothes back on, chatters away at Wetsands in Bhuka, then pours out the bags he found on the bottom of the pool: money and gems clatter out on the floor, quite a bit of money.

As he always does when interpreting, he points at Sandwhisper while relating the story he was just told.

"He drink water while waiting, feel good-good. Then jump in water. Now feel very alive. Goodwater in pool."

"My mentor told me about this order in reverent tones, I too am intrigued that a paladin of the Order is here. Your connection seems very plausible Rackham."

After listening to Wetsands translate Bohdan takes a step closer to the well, "Perhaps the water has some restorative abilities, Jon could certainly benefit from those if that's the case."

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

As could I, I wish to taste these waters.
*Goes over to the font and drinks from it.*

Jon jumps into the pool and washes himself in the goodgood water.
Feeling better.

Those who immerse themselves in the water receive a lesser restoration (recover 1d4 ability damage) and cure light wounds (regain 1d8+5 HPs). It does not work a second time as far as you can tell from this short test.

When Aref washes in the water he feels refreshed, as if he has rested. Jon too washes in the water, he feels ennervated and regains (1d4=4) points of DEX and (1d8 4=5) HPs.

This leaves Jon down 15 hits and 1 point of DEX.

Um, bro, you do know that 'enervated' means 'weakened', right?

If I lose dex because you pointed that out I know a wizard who is gonna get Celestial Porcupine summoned into his pants!

;P

Enervated, yes. I spelled it wrong, too.

Brain cloud, dudes, brain cloud.

Where shall we go next?

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Should ve check the 2 doors by the north pool? I vould like to see this all this level has to offer before opening a new can of worms.

I'll keep Pulsifer around until it seems appropriate for him to make his exit.

"Yes. And we should keep our eyes on those balconies, we are exposed here."

To the Bhuka, he points at the money and bags: "Let us gather the coins, we can decide what to do with it later."

"Sulu gala tu radune."

Squats and starts scooping up coins and gems into the bags.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Aref helps gather together the coins and gems, "These vill help out much when we find a city to purchase items in. Perhaps we find more in the rooms to the north."

*sound of crickets*

Memorial Day weekend here in the states. I suspect that has something to do with it....

Ayup.

I just realized that I have to overhaul my skills, PRPG 3 is really different from release 1.

Ayup

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Aref moves to the north pool to splash a bit of water on his face then heads to the left door in the alcove and begins examining it, preparing to open it.
"Ve need to be moving along here, I would like to be finding the books and such mentioned in the legends...."

The north hallway floor is caked with bat s*+~.

The Deceiver bows to the superior clearing skills of the others.

The arching passage that contains the north pool, when you look up at the ceiling and upper walls, seems to be moving, melting, flowing.... it's the bats, hundreds of thousands of bats. The guano, several feet deep in places, is heaped as high as the edge of the poll, yet the pool still, somehow, shimmers clear and clean despite the bat s!$% falling down into it like rain.

"This would be great for my garden."

The Deceiver sketches a courtly bow to Pulsifer, "Please, you can have all the guano you want."

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Shillot! *casts detect magic, examines the pool*

Aref stares at the pool for a few moments. It glows faintly of conjuration and transmutation, not quite as brightly as the south pool.

I rolled for these then my original post was eaten (twice).

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Aref takes a cupped handful of water and brings it to his lips, drinking deeply, then splashes some on his face.

It tastes clear and fresh. A bit of guano falls on your head.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

How high up are the bats roosting? Damnable flying rodents!

It's about 25 feet up.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Lubriv'itik!
casts Grease on the ceiling above the pool (10'square)where the bats are roosting. DC 16 reflex or they fall.

"Hang onto that you f**kin' rodents!"

Good technique!

Aref, barely able to conceal his grin, signals everyone to step back.

His spell is cast and a hundred thousands bats slip off the ceiling almost at once. The creeping crawling surface above dissolves into a cloud and begins circling inside the main chamber. In time the bats find other dark nooks and crannies sheltered from the sunshine above and the radiant beams coming from the lance of Aroden.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

"Defecate on me will you.......Hmmmmm, this door is looking like a good vay to go." Begins heading for the left door in the alcove, prepared to open the portal.

"Lead on, Master Aref. You can count on us to back you up."

Edit: The Deceiver's got a dagger in his hand.

Jon follows Aref and Deceiver.
Drawing the greatsword in his hands,Jon is ready to fight another monster.

I'm starting to figure out Jon's personality, Ian. He a psycho. He's like the sort of guy who joins the army and hopes there is a war.

Jon's action means "Hey Aref, go head, you have my sword behind you." Jon is not a Drow who is in love with killing. He loves peace, hates evil monsters.

...sure.

=P

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

Aref tries to open the left hand door, looking back at his newly acquired 'friends'.

Perception (1d20+8=23)

"Let me have a look there, Aref." The Deceiver looks at the door to check for traps.

Sorry, I try to reply faster, but the servers haven't been cooperating since the latest sale got rolling.

The Deceiver wrote:

Cordoba inspects the north west door, scraping away guano from the handles and hinges as he searches for traps.

It looks safe.

;)

"It's safe, Aref. You can go in." The Deceiver presents the door with a bow.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

"Thank you for examining the door, friend." Aref opens the door.

"Ha! I have been called many things. But I have never been called a 'friend'." The Deceiver finds it very amusing.

Male Human Sorceror 3 EXP-3450

You have treated me with respect and we have fought against common foe. That is more than enough for the 'friend' name in my book. Friendships have been built on less. When you betray me I will name you 'enemy', until then 'friend' will do.
