The Munavri

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Ok so I was looking through my new books and I noticed the Munavri
Munavri
Gives the Drow Noble a run for their money I would say.

But how would you play one? Their light blindness would make it hard to play anything outside of a night game. But with a +4 to Dex and a +2 to all but Str and taking a -2 to that stat would give them a lot of options.

So are they worth the CR +1? How would you guys use them?

Well, the recently released chaokineticist isn't too bad. Basic chaokinesis even protects you from bright light.

There's also a low-level spell - or, depending on your GM, a cantrip - that will protect you as well.

Sorry what is a chaokineticist? Is it an archetype of the Kineticist?

It's from Occult Origins. It's a new element - basically darkness, gravity, and void. You can find it on d20pfsrd, in the Kineticist entry.

(It's the sort of thing that The Devil - in the lamp that Headmaster Cid gives you - would probably appreciate.)

Like drow nobles... the munavri are not really intended to be PC options. They CAN be PCs, but they're powerful, and better suited as NPCs unless the GM is eager to run a high-powered campaign.

I was thinking about a Darklands campaign, since one of my players really wants to play a svirfneblin. So munavri, drow noble, duergar tyrant, trox, and svirfneblin might all be on the table for that.

But yes... as the dinosaur says, they're definitely above other races. Don't be surprised if a GM isn't willing to allow the race.

That they are. There are ways around the light blindness. If you allowed 3.5 mindsight feat would be good on them. Allow 60' range telepathy.

Honestly I see these as less then the Noble because no spell-likes. I have had a Noble in a party I dmed and played in and they never really crashed the mode.
