Drawing in a lungfull of air, Garroth pointed to himself with a thumb to his chest. "Ill give it a shot. Just gotta get this armor off...again."

Stripping out of his armor, he then proceeded to brave the climb.

limb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Like a damn monkey...or possibly gorilla.

Game Master

Garroth basically runs up the wall to the first edge. There, he finds a small hole has been packed full of rubble and trash, making a makeshift little nest. Hidden among the rubble, Garroth finds 3 gold rings, 4 small flawed gems, 12 gold pieces, 17 silver pieces, and 9 copper pieces.

Male Half-orc Fighter 1 (Mobile Fighter), Monk 0 (Monk of the Sacred Mountain)

HP: 13, Initiative: +2, Perception:+2 , Sense motive: +1, AC: 20 (T: 13, FF: 18), CMD: 18, Fort: 5, Refl: 3, Will: 2

Reaching out a meaty fist over the edge, Garroth waved the loot triumphantly. "Score!" he called down, before stuffing the items into his pack and descending the wall to rejoin the others.

Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

lololololol

Safely back down, he put his armor back on, a smug satisfied look on his face.

Game Master

o.O really now? double climb crits?

Garroth playfully parkours his way up and town the ruins of the tower until he decides his climbing prowess has been fully understood. He then runs down the wall, loot in hand.

Game Master

So... You've all got three unexplored doors that look just ripe for opening.

Male Anumus (Wolf) Ranger 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 18 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 15 | CMD: 17 | FCMD: 14 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +5 | Will: +1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7

Decisions!: 1d3 ⇒ 1
1 = left, 2 = mid, 3 = right

Romboldt covers his eyes, flails an arm about before coming to rest pointing at a door. "Good a door as any. Shall we continue?"

Male Half-orc Fighter 1 (Mobile Fighter), Monk 0 (Monk of the Sacred Mountain)
Stats:
HP: 13, Initiative: +2, Perception:+2 , Sense motive: +1, AC: 20 (T: 13, FF: 18), CMD: 18, Fort: 5, Refl: 3, Will: 2

"Sounds good pup, eh, I mean, bub." Garroth said with a grin. That little slip up likely wasnt an accident. Then he trundled over to the door, weapon and shield in hand. Giving the handle a tug, he tried to open it.

Perception once door opens: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 +2 Sight Based

Game Master

Should I call you Logan, Garroth?

Male Half-orc Fighter 1 (Mobile Fighter), Monk 0 (Monk of the Sacred Mountain)

What? He dont own dat.

Game Master

I don't know... I'm pretty sure Disney owns Marvel, so maybe he does own that. Disney is crazy scary about going after their copy rights. Same reason we'll only have "light based beam swords" in our campaign ;p

The door to the south (left), is actually cleverly hidden in the wall, and you all only passively just noticed that is there. (I always forgot that is a secret door. Oops.) It opens fairly easily with a slight groan into a small pocket chamber.

This pocket chamber is damp and cold. The skeletons of three long-dead archers slump against rubble-filled arrow slits along the east and south wall.

Female Gnome Bard (Arcane Duelest) 2 |HP:13/13 AC: 15 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 13 | CMD: 11 | FCMD: 9 | Fort: +0 | Ref: +5 | Will: +4 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11

Ali peers around the legs of her taller companions, glancing around.

"Lots of skeletons here. Least they're dead."

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

"Think there are really drow here?" she scrunches her nose in distate.

Game Master

Yup. Those sure are skeletons in there.

Some ragged beat up bows and lots of old rotten arrows. Looks like some guards died defending the tower here long ago and where forgotten and lost to time in this hidden room.

Male Human Wizard 5 | HP: 38/43 | AC: 19/19 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +9 | Will: +8 | Perc: +8

When Sam gets a chance.... he detects magic.

Game Master

You detect magic coming from the secret room, and from one of the rings Garroth found. In the room, it seems to be coming from the skeletons and from one corner where an old quiver lies.

Male Anumus (Wolf) Ranger 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 18 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 15 | CMD: 17 | FCMD: 14 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +5 | Will: +1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7

I knew it! O.O

Romboldt raises a brow suspiciously at the apparently lame find behind the hidden door, bow in hand. "Hmm.. shouldn't hidden rooms have more interesting things than.. rotten old bones?"

Game Master

Have you stepped into the room Romboldt? Are just peeking through the doorway like a scaredy-wolf?

Game Master

Suddenly terrified by the certain and eminent threat of skelingtons, Snith and Ford let out a shriek reminiscent of an eleven year old girl who didn't get a pony for her birthday. Hand in hand, they flee for the exit, never to be seen again.

In the meantime, the cacophony of noise has some unwanted reactions... the skeletons in the secret room suddenly begin rumbling back to unlife, bright yellow lights igniting in their hollow eye sockets! Bones creaking together through foul necromancy, they slowly pick up their ancient rusted weapons and begin to move towards the party.

Skeleton Init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Romboldt Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

If this is someone's idea of a bad joke... Just stop it!

Game Master

derp. I totally thought you guys were going first. But upon inspection... you certainly are not. my bad

Round 1

One of the skeletons in the rear shambles over to an old long bow and then bends down to pick it up.

The other two skeletons rush the door way, claws flashing. One attacks Romboldt while the other attacks Garroth. As they swing, their claws seem to light up with other worldly flames!

Claw vs Romboldt: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d6 ⇒ 6

Claw vs Garroth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 51d6 ⇒ 4

The first creature misses the Anumus, but Garroth is struck by a flaming claw, taking 9 damage!

Well there's somethin' you don't see everyday. "So there are flaming skeletons now?!?!" Ali asks, her voice lilting excitedly.

Ali steps back and begins to sing to inspire her allies, her performance telling you Yes! You too can kill skellingtons effectively and save the day and make heroic quips and whatnot. It's all very moving.

Ali starts her bardic performance to inspire courage.

Round 1

One of the skeletons in the rear shambles over to an old long bow and then bends down to pick it up.

The other two skeletons rush the door way, claws flashing. One attacks Romboldt while the other attacks Garroth. As they swing, their claws seem to light up with other worldly flames!

The first creature misses the Anumus, but Garroth is struck by a flaming claw, taking 9 damage!

_________________________

Romboldt - Runs up and uses his wolf like instincts to awesomely trip the skeleton, knocking it prone!

Garroth - following his ally's lead, Garroth spins and twirls his temple sword in a dazzling display! He manages to trip his skeleton as well, but he is so preoccupied with doing some cool tricks that he doesn't manage to land a single blow!

(Also, Romboldt and Garroth take 1d6 ⇒ 5 fire damage by standing next to the flaming skeletons!)

Sam - summons up his magical energies, takes a step back, and unleashes a bolt of force at the nearest skeleton, nearly shattering the thing into oblivion!

Ali - steps back and starts singing some old school bluegrass love songs to inspire everyone to just be a better lover... I mean fighter.

________________________________

Round 2

Skeletons - Both of the prone skeletons mindlessly stand up and resume their attack. Garroth can't seem to get in a decent attack. Romboldt is unable to respond as his weapon is too long and clumsy for him to maneuver it at the enemy when he is so close!

Claw vs Garroth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d6 ⇒ 4
Claw vs Romboldt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 141d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d6 ⇒ 2

The skeletons both try to claw at the party, but Garroth and Romboldt expertly evade the attacks!

The lone skeleton in the room notches an arrow and lets it loose at Garroth!

Longbow: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 4 = 101d8 ⇒ 2 (Garroth, you have a +4 to AC due to soft cover)

But the arrow harmlessly clacks against the stone wall.

I didn't realize I couldn't use that thing in melee range. D: Is it possible to retroactively take a 5ft step back? I was kinda planning to in the first place but decided against leaving Garroth solo in the front. o.o

Romboldt, having deflected the attacks of the flaming skeleton once more, paces back out of harms reach before slashing out with his poleaxe at bony ankles.

Trip!: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Game Master

Sure, you can take a 5ft step after last trip, go ahead and make an attack role for an AoO. But that means you will be taking a 5ft step this turn to trip again.

Male Half-orc Fighter 1 (Mobile Fighter), Monk 0 (Monk of the Sacred Mountain)

HP: 13, Initiative: +2, Perception:+2 , Sense motive: +1, AC: 20 (T: 13, FF: 18), CMD: 18, Fort: 5, Refl: 3, Will: 2

Seeing stars and having difficulty staying on his feet, Garroth lashed out at his bony assailant, once more trying to send it crashing to the floor.

Flurry of Maneuver: Trip: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 - 2 = 11

Meeting with failure he reluctantly tried again with the backswing, unwilling to let the thing remain standing to attack him again.

Regular Attack: Trip: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 2 = 8

He then quickly stepped back, hoping to avoid the creatures burning aura.

5 foot step to A 7...also, im so dead...

Not necessary actually, I can use my weapon to trip (as was my intention)

I think you need to make a touch attack for the Force Bolt?

Game Master

Nah, it works like magic missile: As a standard action you can unleash a force missile that automatically strikes a foe, as magic missile. The force missile deals 1d4 points of damage plus the damage from your intense spells evocation power. This is a force effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.

Appearance

initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Next thing you know there is a brilliant flash of Orange Light and a puff of smoke that fades away quickly. You see a small 3' tall Humanoid Insect-type creature whose chitten is a very pale blue, the color of ice in the winter time, armed with a small sized Composite Longbow that takes aim at the Skeleton with a the bow and lets loose with a couple of arrows.

Garroth froze for a second, staring in slack-jawed disbelief at the creature. The manner of its appearance and the way it looked, all combined to draw his full attention.

That is until he was rudely brought back to reality by the skeleton advancing on him. Bringing up his shield to fend it off, he managed a timid smile at the creature. "Fine by me little man, just kill it quickly!"

Male Human Wizard 5 | HP: 38/43 | AC: 19/19 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +9 | Will: +8 | Perc: +8

Ohhh, bugger.... In a good way!

Game Master

I was waiting to see if Ali showed up, but it would appear she is MIA.

Round 2

Romboldt- Swipes at when the opportunity presents itself, but misses! Snarling, he attempts to trip one of the skeletons with his horsechopper, but is unsuccessful in this attempt.

Garroth - Also unsuccesfully attempts to trip a skeleton, but these guys don't mess around. They stand their ground. You could back them up to the gates of hell, but they won't fall down! He then tries to hit one, but he is distracted by all the tom pettiness.

Sam - summons up another force bolt, this one striking into the chest of the weakened skelly and shattering it into oblivion!

Ali - keeps on singing baby! Standard action to rock out.

- - - - - -- - - -

With a brilliant orange flash a flash of smoke *KABANG!!!!* a dromite appears out of thing air. He looks startled and confused for a moment, but it doesn't take long for his eyes to focus on the remaining two skeletons. He mumbles something about being prepared for this cause he hates skeletons, and then KAPPOW KAPPOW!. Two arrows later the two skeletons are reduced to nothing but dust.

Looking at the newcomer, then the destroyed skeletons, Garroth produced a meek smile. "Top notch work there little man. Those bastards got me good, I was practically gettin' ready to the afterlife when you showed up." Walking to the nearest wall, he sat down with a heavy thud. "Ach! Damn that smarts. Burn injuries really are just the worst aren't they?" He said, clutching one of his burnt claw wounds.

"I think I'm ready to stop for the day. But don't worry, just as soon as everything stops spinning ill be ready to do deeper."

Garroth is currently on 2 HP and not feelin' so hot.

Game Master

As you all talk, the skeleton's remains begin to rumble. Suddenly, with a bang, they explode with a fiery bang!

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Game Master

Anyone standing next to a skeleton (within 5 ft).

Game Master

I would say Garroth and Romboldt where standing by the skeletons?... Anyone heard from Ali? If she doesn't pop up soon we may, unfortunately, be looking for a replacement :( So! Where to?

Garroth stepped back 5 feet after his attacks, and then both skeletons bit the dust before they got their turn, so he should be safe.

Game Master

Ok, that is fine. I guess no one gets hurt then :( Romboldt had reach.

SORRY I've been gone so long! Life has kind of taken a turn on crazy train and it keeps interferring with posting ^^;! Hopefully it's settled back down for now!

Aliatris stops singing and bounces forward once the skeletons stop exploding and...well...being skeletons and become piles of angry dust.

"That was AMAZING Mr. Stranger!! You really saved our bacon!" She sniffs the air "Literally I think in Garroth's case." She attempts to find a non singed part of Garroth to pat in congratulations at remaining alive.

She doesn't find any (that she can reach anyway). "Yeahhh. Let's make camp. You are our valued meat shield and I wouldn't want anything to permanently happen to you!"

Game Master

Hooray! I would have been so sad had you not come back. Glad you're still here. I know life happens sometimes, and it gets hard to post, I've been guilty of it myself, but next time if you can try to just pop in and say you will be busy for a while and I'll know to bot you

Male Human Wizard 5 | HP: 38/43 | AC: 19/19 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +9 | Will: +8 | Perc: +8

What would Sam do without his punky... I mean spunky Gnome friend!

Game Master

so, where to now? There are two other unexplored doors in the circular room. North west and south west.
