Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Dwalindor thinks about running but if the wizard is within 10' he drops his bow and takes a swing with Amanda.
Leave us alone! We are so DONE with you!"
Adm earthbreaker, rage,fav, pa/FF : 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 22
for damage: 2d6 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 = 28
| DMummy |
The adamantine earthbreaker slams into the wizard and he shrieks in incredible pain as his productive spells do nothing to help him.
No! NO YOU CAN'T STOP ME! I AM THE INVINCIBLE SKY PHARAOH AND YOU WILL BOW BEFORE ME!
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
He misses.

I bow to no MAN! Noonan, I think this pointy-hat needs Amanda to give him another lesson in humility!
If he is staying in reach, Dwalindor will continue to swing until one of us collapses. :-)
Adm earthbreaker, rage,fav, pa/FF : 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 17
for damage: 2d6 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 = 25
Adm earthbreaker, rage,fav, pa : 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 14
for damage: 2d6 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 = 27

Noonan and Dwalindor smash the impudent flying wizard into the ground and he dies. Finally.
Thorrpe and Albus are freed from the effects of the fear spell.
You are out of combat - feel free to rest, heal, search for treasure, etc. My book is at home so full treasure list when I get home this afternoon.

Dwalindor cheers
I told you not to mess with us, pointy hat! HAH!"
He then collapses, totally exhausted from the fatigue of raging and the evil wizard's ray.
He won't be moving for a couple minutes.
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
wow impressive charges. He only needs 4 of those. He is still exhausted but it will pass in about 2 minutes .
"Thanks...uh...Noonan...can't..,catch..,,my ...breath."
| DMummy |
OK, sorry.
You're able to collect quite a lot of treasure off the crazed wizard.
You have a lesser disruptive metamagic rod, potions of cure moderate wounds (2), scroll of stinking cloud, wand of enervation (14 charges); a dagger, a masterwork club, a ring of sustenance, spell component pouch, a spellbook with ball lightning, fear, obsidian flow, stoneskin, communal resist energy, fly, haste, ray of exhaustion, bear’s endurance, command undead, false life, glitterdust, scorching ray, alarm, mage armor, magic missile, ray of enfeeblement, shield, all 0-level spells as well as animate dead, arcane lock, chill touch, enervation, gentle repose, ghoul touch, invisibility, knock, stinking cloud, vampiric touch; diamond dust (worth 500 gp), onyxes (worth 500 gp in total), silver holy symbols of Anubis and Pharasma (worth 25 gp each), silver unholy symbol of Urgathoa (worth 25 gp).
The mask he's wearing is also magical but although you cannot identify its properties you strongly feel you should not put it on.
Cannot stress that enough.
| Thorrpe |
Thorrpe picks it up
My old master always made me test things out
He puts it on
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
If Dwalindor could stand he would smack Thorrpe for even considering it.
| Thorrpe |
ill update the treasure sheet later, but I would like to claim the spell book and wand. Albus can totally copy spells out of it, but my next feat is one that lets me swap out my major and minor magics for spells in my spell book
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
I am sure we can fetch a pretty penny for the mask back at the Pharasma temple or somethin'
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Dwalindor stands up ready with Amanda as well.
"Fool of a Took....I mean Thorrpe!"
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
easy. - just type +19 .
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
I think he was joking around
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
Dwalinor listens as he tightens his grip on the earthbreaker .
| Thorrpe |
I was serious about putting the mask on. That is 100% what Thorrpe would do. His backstory has him testing out all magical crap...should I roll a new character?
| DMummy |
Yep, Thorrpe is now mine. Congrats guys, one of you just became a major villain! You also lost a McGuffin but that's sort of besides the point.
As Thorrpe puts on the mask his body stiffens and he begins to laugh maniacally. The voice - the same voice - of the mad wizard you've been fighting booms from Thorrpe's mouth.
FOOLS! YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD STOP ME BUT I AM ETERNAL! THE SKY-PHARAOH WILL RISE AGAIN!
Necromantic magic booms out of the mask and you realize, too late, what caused the dead to rise - someone putting on that mask.
Before you can react Thorrpe vanishes from your sight - whether he turned invisible or simply teleported you're unsure.
I'll be generous and allow Noonan, Dwalindor and Albus to battle their way back to the Temple of Pharasma without having to roll it.
| Ibrahim the Grey |
Ibrahim greets you on the Temple steps, looking quite severe.
I felt a....burssst of magic jussst now. It ssseemsss you have failed, sssomething I sssadly...failed to take into account. It hasss been sssome time sssince my...judgement wasss ssso wrong.
He taps his long fingers against his chin.
Nonethelesssss it isss good to sssee you, my friendsss. The city wasss growing calmer and fortunately the bodiesss...sssuitable for necromancy are being dessstroyed in the...living portion of the city. The Necropolissss is still lossst however. A...pity you were unable to sssave it. Now come inssside we have...much to dissscussssss.
Level up!
| Thorrpe |
stupid mods using my own background against me. :( any ideas on a new character?
| Thorrpe |
Oh. Before I reroll. I did have protection against evil still active. Does that make a difference?
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
That is funny on Thorrpe. I am on travel and will see if I can level up based on the loot. I guess Thorrpe took his cut by keeping the mask. :-P
| Thorrpe |
[ooc] you know what is funny. I totally read "You feel you should not put it on. I cannot stress that enough" as You feel you SHOULD put it on. I cannot stress that enough" Funny how that works"
| Thorrpe's Shadow |
As everyone sits with Ibrahim, confused as to what happened, and what prompted Thorrpe to put the mask on a man who looks exactly like Thorrpe, only completely black, a shadow with form and substance stumbles into the room. He is dressed exactly like Thorrpe, only with various trinkets on his person. Of note are bracers that seem to be elaborately carved, a figurine, hanging from a chain around his neck, that looks shockingly like Thorrpe, black leather gloves, with elaborate sticking and a black onyx ring.
He speaks in the loudest whispering tones you have ever heard.
Thorrpe has been taken...we must save him. I tried to warn him not to put it on, but he misheard me in the moment. He is a good man, the only good man I have met. I do not know how I was pulled fully into your realm, but I am here, and ready to help.

Shad immediately turns and looks to the door...
Where?
