I thought the sibilance was part of snake lady's free action transformation, and that Wellard just wanted to know where we were so he could calculate area of effect and damage. Never thought she might be buffing this round. If she was buffing and it's our turn ...

Romon waits for the others to rush in, then takes a long righthand curving route toward the hooded man. Shortsword and dagger appear as if conjured in his hands. He flicks the shortsword at the hooded man's head and thrusts for his belly with the knife.

Move to 13.11 if hasted, 12.09 if not. I think that keeps me clear of AoO. If not acrobatics to dodge AoO. Sleight of hand to make drawing his weapons look cool.

added the +1 to hit for haste, don't think anyone is helping me flank yet. Current AC 17 with the haste

Haste:

Spoiler:
The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

I had a feeling you were going to ask me that, I spent a while adding it up but it looks like I did make a typo, sorry. Should be +15

Ali's attack breakdown:

First off, in wolf from she gets +4 to STR so its 18 which is +4
Then with a primary natural attack it adds another +2 (+50%) from Str (like a two-handed weapon)
Then her bite counts as magic for +1 hit/dam
Then she has the feat Big Game Hunter which gives +1 hit/+2 dam vs large or larger creatures
Then +3 Power attack which gives her +6 dam

Which all adds up to 4+2+1+2+6= 15

She's a tough little wolf! ^.^

"If this man I do not recognize is truly a grand magistrate, and serves the God of Murder's agenda, it would be a word from his lips to sentence us all to hang for attacking him. If his life is to be spared, I would rather us be many miles from this town before he awakes, lest we leave on a corpse-cart."

"I will not run the clock out on his life in passive manner, by simply standing by and allowing him to die, but I will indeed without guilt or hesitation kick his body from yonder balcony if we agree that his own crimes far outweigh any need to subject ourself to a lawless and corrupt court which serves his murderous whim..."

"You are correct, mon cher, I did not wear ze mask, nor would I ever want to. I do not doubt our cause, but many blows struck in anger strike down ze wrong target. "Not with zis in our 'ands," Esteriande brandishes the list. "'Ere is ze proof positive zat zese are our murderers. A list of all 'oo zey killed, and all zey were planning to kill. With zis, 'is trip to ze gallows, not ours, is assured."

She turns to Romon.

Hate to rewind...but I feel I must, place blew up while I was out yesterday! lol.

The battle ended and emotions calming the shoanti looks down at this demon before him. It is a creature of nightmares; a woman mixed with a snake. This is not something from his world. He watches the others take in the roof top, Marak checking the demon and then to the hooded man.

This must be cleansed. The Shoanti's blades twirl with practiced hands as his grip shifts making his hold an easy downward motion; the plunges both of his blades into the demon near the abdomen. He spits on the creature then crosses his arms with the blades severing the monster in two; seperating the human from monster.

His task done he removes the gore from his blades and resheath's them and looks at his companions, then the hooded man, "Do we wish to speak to him or is he to learn he is not a bird?"

When he sees Ironbriar's face, Romon lurches back onto his haunches.

"I don't believe it. This is the toughest SOB on the Magnimar Bench. Marak's right. That paper won't protect us or convict him. Cream or scum, once it rises to the top it stays there. They won't take the word of six drifters and a whoreson over his."

"We've still got to make sure he's the last one." Romon starts to search Ironbriar's body.

Naria, then again maybe some of us don't. Muchorak, both.

"Romon is right. the fact that a justice has a list of victims on him proves nothing. He would claim that it is evidence collected in an investigation into the murders perpetrated by this cult. It certainly would be believable. Of course, he could also claim to have been enspelled by the snake-woman as well."

"Even if the protoccol is for spellcasters to practice divinations to plumb for the truth there is no guarantee that they would tell the truth about what they learned. Bringing this to a court would be a trip to the gallows for us."

"I only disagree with Muchorak about throwing Ironbriar over the side because it would draw attention when he hits the ground. It would be better to leave him here to die quietly." Love that line about him "learning that he is not a bird"

Yes, somehow I had a feeling that my Xanesha substitute wouldn't be spared..

Apart from his War Razor and the mask which Romon has effectively destroyed Ironbriar has a Mithril Shirt. He has nothing else of interest on him.

Ali

Spoiler:
You recognise his scent as the one you followed from the Sawmill..and you know that he left the book, that Esteriande has in her possession, behind

Muchorak turns to Inikai, "It has become an understanding to my people that these men of the civilized lands," he gestures at Ironbriar, "Do tend to kill themselves at odd times. Perhaps his flight is just another man attempting to escape this man made prison?"

I'm torn on actually killing him or trying to take him to trial; though Muchorak has no faith in the laws of civilized men so he'll obviously vote for flight.

"Even if there is a full confession, a gloating full confession, in this stuff here I don't think we have a chance of convincing anyone that the chief judge was a murderer. There will be too many people who have vested interests in not letting the truth come out."

"And, anyway, people who jump to their deaths don't bother to stab themselves first, they just jump."

Inikai interrupts himself when he sees Marak stabilize the snake-woman. "Marak, what are you doing? If she recovers she might kill us all! Who knows what magic she might command?"

I am really enjoying this debate on rooftop capital punishment. I say we act as "Judge Judy and executioner". "It's for the greater good" as they say.

Marak didn't stabilise her Muchorak CDG'd her before he could..Oh and the first person on the list of Victims who has not been crossed out..happens to be the Mayor of Magnimar.

Holy prodigious posting Batman! 23 posts since yesterday??

@Icky: No worries of observers mate as there's no windows in this room. So this is a private party indeed ; )

Ali will obviously have little opinion on the deeper political ramifications on this whole thing, but if she did, both she and I would say that questioning him before we execute him might not be a bad idea. We Know he's guilty, so his death is a forgone conclusion, but he still might be capable of providing essential intel.

Aliwolf turns her head back and forth in curious incomprehension at the back and forth between Esteriande and Romon, and then the rest of her friends before finally shaking her head and giving up.

She then moves over to sniff all around the corpse of the strange woman/snake and then the unconscious bad bad two legs. Once she is finished she flows to Gnome form and says "This be bad bad man, same bad bad man Ali follow from other bad bad two leg den of wood. One who then be no more and one who before have that...book?...that friend Es-ter-an-de have." She then turns towards the snakewoman [b]"But Ali no know what kind thing half woman half snake be, she just know she no like it. Yuck! So what we do now?"

Inikai steps toward Marak as he speaks but comes up short when he sees that the cleric of Nethys has not saved the life of the snake-woman. He feels foolish when he sees that Muchorak has decapitated the monster.

"Oh, I'm sorry. From over there I could not see what you were doing. Please forgive me."

"in regard to Ironbriar, I can likely do something to force answers from him. It might be a bit distasteful, though. And I would need some time to prepare myself for it."
