Inikai |

Inikai climbs onto the crossbeam between 05.01 and 05.02. It would not do to be in the air when the Levitationspell comes to an end. If the figures on the platform move to attack (what a shock that would be) he will command the figure in 04.02 to attack an ally.
DC 18 Will save or attack nearest ally

DM Wellard |

Ali please specify your target in future.
Ali's intial swooping attack on the man above the bell misses.
No Haste attack because you only get that on a full round attack action and you had to move to get to him..indeed you will have to continue moving all the time toi stay airborne as hawks cannot hover
Romons arrow punctures him

DM Wellard |

Ali in future please specify a target when faced with multiple foes.
Ali's swooping attack opens a nasty wound in the face of the man perched above the bells.
You had to move so no haste attack this round..if you want to stay airborne then you will have to move each round.
Romons arrow Puntures the same target but hje does not fall..indeed he morphs, as do his companions, into a creature similar to the ones you fought in Aldous'House and moves towards Esteriande who slashes out and sends him plunging to his death some 200 feet below.
One more of te beasts closes with the pretty Paladin and launches a Slashing blow at her with it's sword which misses wildly.
Longsword1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
The other two move along the beams to try and outflank her.
03.03 to 08.03
03.02 to 04.06
04.02 to 04.07

Marak selects the closest adversary, and sends his morningstar soaring on waves of arcane force to attack the creature.
hand of the acolyte powered morningstar attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
B/P damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Alisebett |

Apologies fopr not posting a target but laptop looks like it's kaput so am forced to post from my cell atm and the map doesn't seem to work or look right on my phone. But funny 'not paying attention' should be brought up as this was Ali's posted action during the surprise round "Ali takes the suggestion from her pretty friend and wings around behind the small group of four legs." So, as she was already in posution, I'm pretty sure the hasted attack does in fact apply. Yes? Also not sure what you mean about having to move to stay airborne? She does have flyby attack, however that applies?

Muchorak "Windstriker" |

As I understand it...
Muchorak strikes out at the monster in 4.07; breaking his stealth.
Longsword 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18; damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Shortsword 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21; damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Longsword 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17; damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Shortsword 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13; damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Haste Longsword 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21; damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
I understand that since he was stealthed, 31, he should be attacking the FF AC of the target, then again the target did move before Muchorak did; so then would he recieve a +2 to those attacks from attacking from stealth?

DM Wellard |

I'll allow haste on flyby attacks in which case the hasted attack missed anyway.
Muchorak hits with everything apart from the second blow with his short sword..doing significant damage to his opponent.
Will save for Inikai's target 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26Saved
Reflex saves for Naria's targets
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Fail
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Fail
Having withstood Inikai's Jedi mind tricks and Muchorak's blows both the outflanking creatures plummet to their demise thanks to Naria's spell.
Maraks weapon thuds into the last remaining foe but appears to have no effect

Esteriande d'Litran |

Having withstood Inikai's Jedi mind tricks and Muchorak's blows both the outflanking creatures plummet to their demise thanks to Naria's spell.
... and that is how you do 20d6 danage from a 1st level spell.
Esteriande closes with the last remaining foe, her face grim.
Attack #1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20 Damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Haste attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23 Damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Attack #2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Esteriande d'Litran |

Esteriande looks bleakly at the fallen as they tumble down the tower for a moment.
"Onward," she says simply. She glides across the platform and out onto the stairs, looks up the tower, then pauses. "Romon, you are our scout."
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

![]() |

Marak, wide-eyed, also finds somewhere to place his feet on something solid, suddenly all-too-aware of how brutally unforgiving gravity can be.
"Inspired, but also terrifying." he says, by way of backwards compliment.
It may have just occured to him that not only is he at risk of dying from a fall, but from sharing half the damage if Muchorak falls...

Romon |

Romon considers the route ahead and the uncertainty of the levitation's duration. He reaches into his beltpouch and draws out a potion which he drinks quickly and grimaces. He stows the empty vial back in his pouch. "You don't want to know what's in there," he mutters to Naria and Esteriande. He stows his bow double checks his favorite dagger in its wrist sheath. Then he begins rising silently up the side of the building, drifting off the track of the stairs as he rises.
Potion of spiderclimb. Stay within touch range of the tower and use hands and feet to lightly move across the face of the wall. Hopefully the leviation will let him move without putting weight on the tower (Stealth bonus?) and the spiderclimb will give him a good chance to catch himself if the levitation ends.
As he rises he wants to move away from the stairway. He figures any traps or watchers will be on the stairs so he wants to approach from a different direction. He wants to approach any door or window midway up the ascent from above. If it goes all the way to the top he wants look in any windows on a wall other than the door's.
Quick stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29 +3 more against traps

Muchorak "Windstriker" |

Muchorak resheathes his blades and again gets closer to the wall for the ascent with Ursus, attempting to be as silent as possible for the rise...
Stealth 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

DM Wellard |

It's not so much a stairway as a set of scaffolding that rises up to the level Ali was on earlier today. Those of you with hands will be able to climb the 40 feet to the top level it without trouble.
13 rounds of levitation left from the end of the fight..it will take two rounds to getup to the top.

Esteriande d'Litran |

Esteriande rises through the scaffolding, touching enough to maintain contact. As she rises she whispers a prayer, and entreaty for aid. Her sword begins to glow softly ...
Calling on her Divine Bond, her sword is now keen. Also using detect evil to scan ahead ...

DM Wellard |

Esteriande gets no trace of evil as she rises alongside the timbers of the scaffolding..you land on a platform barely big or indeed strong enough to hold you all.
The smoky, filthy rooftops of the Shadow sprawl below this dizzying perch. The conical roof supports an onyx statue of an angel. Towering like a god, her weathered features are caked with grime, making her seem almost demonic in countenance. At the far end of the hollow space under the roof, in the angel’s shadow, is a nest of cushions, silk sheets, and other incongruously fine bits of decor.
You see two figures in what appears to be an arguement..however as you arrive they turn towards you and their voices stop.
"So " one says in a silky feminine voice "the ..Heroes..have arrived .Such a pity to come all this way to die"
As she speaks her form flows and writhes into something monstrous. A huge snake tail flows from her torso remains strangely, horridly female..drawing twin scimitars sheawaits your challenge

Romon |

Romon holds his finger to his lips for quiet and circles the building checking for windows and having a quick listen to the conversation.
combo fast stealth, levitate and spiderclimb as above
Stealth 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26
Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
If there's a window in a wall away from the rest of the party, carefully have a peek inside edging his eye just past the window sill.
Door between platform and the tower room? Windows on other sides? Big enough to get through? How big is the enclosed room?

DM Wellard |

patience good Romon patience..and you ninjaed my rewrite of that post. However as there are no windows you can return to the others before the levitation wears off
Monstrous woman 24
Muchorak 21
Naria 20
Marak 19
Romon 18
Esteriande 17
Ali 16
Inakai 16-
Hooded man 12
The creature hisses something in a sibillant language. Her motions become sharper quicker as she finishes.
Map..the dark wood area is the platform please place yourselves there
Party affected by..
Levitation 5 rounds remaining

Romon |

Even teats don't look good on that. Romon flicks his eyes over at Esteriande and grins approvingly before shifting his gaze back to snake lady and homey.
09.04 for Romon. He's not looking to be a target.
Originally spelled that with an i. They censored it.

Alisebett |

Sorry, shouldn't there be 11 rounds of levitation left? You said there was 13 from the end of the fight and it would take 2 to get to the top. Did I miss something? Also, what's the big blue thing, is that the nest? And can you give us any further description of the man other than that he is hooded? And those boxes, how big are they? Are they providing complete or partial cover to Mr Hoody? Finally, I'm assuming that Snake Woman has already had her action for this first round, transforming herself?
Since she is flying, Alihawk and Lunas can share the same square, at 12.04

DM Wellard |

You missed the time Romon took to traverse the tower looking for non existant windows..the transformation was a free action..the boxes etc are just there to suggest the nest of stuff it has no physical effect on the battlefield. The man is tall cloaked and hooded, you cant see his face. The big blue thing is a bed

Esteriande d'Litran |

"So...the ..Heroes..have arrived .Such a pity to come all this way to die"
"You 'ave travelled far, zen, I take eet," Esteriande replies as she assess the situation.
I take it that now she does detect evil, and if so:
Whispering a word (casting grace to avoid AoOs) she darts across the rooftop, her blade glittering as she calls on the love of Shellyn to smite her foe. This is not reckless assault, but a fencer's carefully timed attack.
Moving to 19.08, Combat Expertise employed and Smiiiiiite Evil! AC vs snake-woman 29, anyone else 27.
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18 Damage: 1d10 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26

Romon |

I count 4 rounds to circumnavigate the tower top. Climb speed 20 from spider climb, double moving.
You know Randy, Mucho, and Bear are taking the xx.05 squares.
Edit: ninja'd by Dabbler! Who apparently thinks snake lady's not going to pound us first.

Muchorak "Windstriker" |

10.06 for Muchorak and 12.06 for Ursus
Muchorak moves to 10.08 and strikes out at the monster...
Longsword 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 and 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 damage
Ursus roars and joins his friend in the assualt on the monster,11.08
Bite 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 and 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 damage
Confirm crit 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25; if so 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 additional damage

![]() |

So many choices. Summoning a lantern archon almost guarantees that Muchorak will get hit and I'll blow my concentration check and lose the spell. Dispelling magic on the snake-lady guarantees that I'll roll crappy on the dispel check. Invisibility purge it is, just in case they have friends we can't see yet... I don't have to roll for that to work!
Marak steps forward away from the ledge, wanting to be nowhere he could get bull rushed off of it, and calls upon Nethys to strip away magics of deception.
Move to 13.07, any invisible creatures or objects within 35 ft. of Marak become visible.
