The armor is useless, but what about the rest?


The Sword at it's belt is nicely made and the helm is in the form of a dragon and should be worth something.

Úlf glances between his companions, seeing the state they are all in after the long day of slogging through their enemies. "Hrrmm. Returning to caravan is probably good idea. Do we explore rest of Brinewall Village on way? Or leave it for later? There are many buildings we have not yet cleared."

"We're kind of worn out from the exploring we've already done. We've done pretty well so far, but now Lissa needs more help than we can provide. We should avoid any more fighting until we can get to a safe place where we can hole up. Omara puts a hand on Ulf's shoulder. I know it goes against your nature, Ulf, but going out looking for more trouble now could bring us more than we can handle."

Runa nod in agreement. "Let us regain our strength before we attempt to tackle more of this fortress. We can pickup right here where we have defeated this undead horror."

I "can" use it but I think it will see more use in Lissa/Cinder's hands then mine. What I need is a magic bow :p

I shudder to think what else wait's for us, this place is certainly full of many strange creatures and threats. I think it best we travel quickly and directly, may Desna aid us to see no more trouble before we regain our strength!

After taking a few practice swings to test the balance of the new sword, Lissa sheaths the too-large-for-her-in-her-current-state blade and straps it across her back.

"We can see how Ameiko's doing as well. We have been out for a while. Maybe her condition has improved," Lissa says, her face etched with wear and worry.

Ulf gives a snort at Omara's pat on the back, though there is a grin in his eyes. "That is problem with you Southlanders! You have no stamina!" he retorts, swapping his hammer out for the more favored axe.

"Is good point that we should check on Ameiko. I still think we should explore town better tomorrow. Too many places for enemies to hide."


You make your way out off the Castle without incident and head back to the Caravan. Ameiko's condition is unchanged.

Koya is concerned about Lissa.

"What caused this, what sort of creature was it that did this.." she asks querulously of Zal

DM Wellard, did we get to choose a character to add a point to on our relationship score when we hit level 3? I can't remember if we did or not.

After making their way back to the caravan, Úlf first goes to check on Ameiko and see how she is doing. Upon seeing her condition unchanged, he frowns, inquiring as to her condition with Koya and asking if she has said any other strange things in the uneasy sleep.

He also visits with Shalelu and Sandru to inquire after her condition and make sure everything is alright with the rest of the caravan.

Runa also makes the rounds of their colleagues, but soon exhaustion overtakes her, and she falls into a deep sleep, Tofa curled up in her arms.

Lissa falls into an uneasy sleep almost immediately after arriving back at the caravan. Her dreams are plagued with nightmares of burning dragons, numbing cold, boiling blood, and the rising dead.

Kno Religion for ghostly types? 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 Wow Epic Failure, meh hopefully my skill is high enough I can still identify the damn thing.

Zal does his best to describe the creature and its mannerisms to Koya, feeling some chagrin that his memory seems to be failing him in this critical moment.

She waves a scroll..

"Miraculously it appears to be a Restoration Spell..I believe the Goddess has a sevant or Servant's close by.You mentioned that the temple graveyard was well tended and full of butterflies did you not..I think I need to pay a visit myself."

It takes but a few minutes for Koya to restore Lissa to full health.

Zal sighs in relief upon the news that Koya has the means to ease Lissa's illness. Too close a call, that creature was terrible indeed. Hopefully we are finished with such creatures in our further search of the area.

"I also am hopeful. We should maybe think of game plan for tomorrow. Do we explore more of Brinewall Village? Or do we go straight back to castle?"

"Let us investigate the Graveyard first and then..I think you should concentrate on the Castle..The Village, according to our scout,would appear to have nothing of great import within it."

"Aye" Shalelu chips in "I checked the place last night while you slept..It's not worth bothering about."

Lissa thanks Koya tremendously for her healing, but as she stretches, feeling instantly better, her mind moves towards Ameiko still lying comatose. "Koya, not to sound ungrateful, but something's troubling me. Now what magic I know was taught me by Cinder, so I don't know much about the wider world of spellcraft. Would that spell you cast on me have helped Ameiko?"


Koya shakes her head.."Whatever it is..it isn't Magical in origin..at least not as far as my skills can tell..her aura is clean of taint and she is not in any distress. My best guess is that the answers lie in the Castle and with that demonic being you described"

After eating and sorting yourselves out for the day you make your way to the graveyard..the place is still peaceful and you get a sense of tranquility within the walls.Koya decides to meditate by the shrine and shoos you away to the Castle..

"Go..go and find out what secrets the place holds..I will be safe here I think"

Lissa is quiet, lost in thought as she follows the rest of the group to the castle. It is evident she still feels bad about being healed while Ameiko still lies comatose.


The Castle is strangely quiet this morning..no Dire Corbies patrol the walls and the Throne Room is deserted.

Well I see that our first visit made some impression. I wonder if we will find any of the previous inhabitants left?

Barring protest Zal will take the lead and gesture for the group to make their way back to where they confronted the deadly spirit the day before. Let's revisit that final conflict and see what the area holds?

You find two rooms which were once ornately furnished but now lie in ruins.The first seems to have been an office the second private quarters.Nothing of Value is found but you discover some scattered and hastily written notes.including one unfinished letter which refers to a night attack by men in dark robes.

You have now cleared the ground floor of the castle..You can risk the haunt again or climb to the upper levels of the keep.
