Zal looks over at Cinder. You know, many a treatise might be written about you. Are you Lissa or some part of her? Something that inhabits her body? Regardless I think it safe to say the juxtaposition of your fierceness and her timidity would make many a scholar scribble in their books furiously.

Zal checks his bow and pulls an arrow in hand waiting for Omara to signal the next move.

Omara quietly opens the door slightly and takes a peek into the next room through the crack.

"There are six more bird-men in there," she says quietly. "They seem to be ... rehearsing for a play." The look on her face indicates that she has a hard time believing it, too. "There is also someone else. He looks Tian, but has red skin. He seems to be directing the others."

Úlf's grip on his axe tightens and he bounces up and down on his toes, obviously eager to barrel into the room, guns blazing, as it were. "We know bird-men bad and must be put down! If red-skin Tian is leading them, he must be worse! We kill him too!" he whispers in a voice just barely loud enough for the others to hear.

Omara opens the door to let the eager warriors through.

Not sure what else to do here but charge in...we seem fairly well arranged for frontal assault tactics...guess we will see if that is true...

you rush into the room closing the distance by 30 feet[surprise round]

"OOoOOOHh" the red skinned man cries.."Critics...kill them my minions
and then we can return to our rehearsal"

Úlf roars a battle cry as he charges forward, heedless of putting himself in any position of danger by making himself the first target. Rather than head for the red-skinned man, he makes a snap decision to target the weaker of his foes first, figuring that each of the corbies that dies makes it easier for them to focus on the foes that remain standing.

Making a bee-line for the nearest of the large bird-people, he leaps into the air, his entire body flexing backward as he rears back with his axe, then brings it hurtling forward, intending to split the corby's skull in half...and as much of the remainder of its' body as he can.

Charging Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 2 - 1 = 28
Damage: 1d12 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 3 = 23

My word that is a a lot of hurt.

Cinder'll probably go for the red-skinned man, but I'll wait to see the results of Ulf's carnage and Omara's action before posting.

Omara has seen that Ulf and Cinder seem to enjoy this maneuver, so she charges a corbie of her own.

"How many does that make for you, Ulf," she says loudly while pretending to ignore her own opponent. "I have three so far!"

Ulf hacks down one Corbie and Omara wounds a second

"Akkkkk,,you killed my friend your life I'll end" one off the corbies cries..in the voice of the red skinned man

The Red Skinned man takes cover behind his throne like chair.

That will prevent a charge from Cinder

Cinder will double-move as close as possible to get in range for an attack next turn, staying out of AOO range of the corbies while doing so.

Cinder plows through the room, closing towards the red-skinned man. It knocks over anything small in its path without slowing, while slithering snake-like past any larger obstructions (such as the corbies). The creature seems to stay out of their attack range almost subconsciously.

Runa attempts to sleep one off the Dire Corbies who shrugs the hex off as if it was a minoe insect bite

Cinder ends up about 10' away from the Red skinned man who glares at him

"This will not do We'll deal with you" his voice says issuing again from one of the Corbies and two of the bird men leap to intercept the Eidolon
Two more concentrate on Ulf whilst Omara's opponent strikes back at her.

Seeing that the fight is upon them Zal pulls an arrow and navigates the edge of the combat with bow in hand hoping to get a clear line of sight on the red skinned man (or at least closer to a better angle).

Seeing that the group is engaged on all fronts, Zal focuses his mind and calls forth a blessing from Desna to aid to allies.

Bless --> +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.

Are the two Corbies attacking Úlf adjacent to each other? Also, the first attack above (the 17) would hit because of the Charge giving me 16 AC, so I'll take that damage from my HP as well.

At Omara's call, Úlf begins rattling off not just his kills here, but every foe he has felled since the group met in the tavern that first evening in Sandpoint.

"11 goblins, 2 skeletons, 1 ettercap, 1 lizard, 4 lizardfolk, and 1 corby!"

He shows no sign of being in pain as the corbies draw blood, funneling any sense of it into the strength of his arm as he brings his axe to bear on one of the two bird-people.

Ow! Ow! Ow! Omara stifles a grunt after the creature's attack. Don't let him think you're hurt! "I was just talking about the feather-brains here," she says, stabbing her opponent.

Ulf strikes his first target failing to quite put him down but he is staggering. Omara's target bleeds heavily.

The red skinned man seems to consider the odds for a moment then snaps "This should not be I'd better ...flee" and vanishes in a small concussion of air.

Ok, without the red-skin man, Runa directs her hex to any bird person who does not look injured, or too injured.

Runa directs her hex at one off the Corbies facing Cinder.

Will save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

And again the bird man seems not to even notice the effect

Again the BirdMan shrugs off the effect

Dunno if y'all had the same problem I did with the Discussion thread not updating, but Tavlor said hi to us about two weeks ago. My discussion thread never updated to tell me a new post had been added.

Mine has been doing that a lot lately. It just does not show any updates...which is why I was a bit behind in this combat...again sorry

When they updated the messageboards a while back, they changed it to where if you haven't had any activity on it in a while, it stops showing you when it gets new posts. So it does help to check back into those every now and again.

That explains it, I was having some similar challenges...I usually pay attention on the updates to board too but I missed that one. Good to know.

It was because once you viewed a thread, the site would remind you of any updates. It was to weed out the threads you don't visit anymore so you're not getting as many update reminders. I ran into this problem on my Rogue Trader game here. They were spending quite a lot of time debating on upgrades and didn't post on the gameplay thread for a while. When they did, I wasn't aware until it was like, "Oh, you've posted a page and a half of rp without me noticing... Oops."

Charging the closest enemy. If this is not possible, consider it a move and standard attack. Once again, if not possible, double move to get into melee range.

Úlf barks a quick, "Takke skal du, Runa!" as his wounds seal shut, leaving him with only the barest of scratches. He grins wickedly at the remaining corby in front of him, raising his axe high above his head before bringing it down hard at the corby's skull.

Ulf's foe squawks it's last squawk

Just the one facing Cinder now..

Smoke hisses from Cinder's body as the creature faces down its last foe. It slashes forward in a flurry of blade and burning claw.

Cinder's Longsword wounds the Corbie though it does not bring it down.

Zal will continue to move about the room, not wanting to risk a shot at Cinder as it has only one opponent. Zal is looking for other exits so he can at least guess where the red skinned man went.

Normal doors leading away from the throne area to the North and Southeast..

Double doors leading East...closed and barred from this side.

Huge Double Doors leading southwest probably the ones back to the courtyard.

I think its up to the rest of the group to hammer away at the last Corbie in the next round yes?
