Esteriande d'Litran |

Well Marak's action was a determined attempt to stop him, but Muchorak acted first. I guess it's for Wellard to rule where he went - if he got through Marak and Naria he will be half way to the cavern exit by now.

DM Wellard |

Damage to Brunette 126
Damage to Redhead 35
The brunette bleeds from numerous wounds but still she does not fall.
Spellcraft (Concentration)1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32
The redhead glares at you all speaks a few words and reaches out to her sister..both lamiae simply vanish from your view.
Spellcraft required to ID the spell in question

Inikai |

One the lamias (Lamiae?) disappear Inikai drops his haversack and begins to root around in it. He pulls out two bags of flour that he has been carrying with him since the first day in the tunnels under Sand Point. He yells "ROMON" and tosses one to his shifty friend then rips open the other one himself. All the while he expects to be eviscerated by one of the snake-women.
If his entrails are still in place at this time Inikai will throw the flour in an arc from C2 to D1.

Romon |

Esteriande drives home her advantage...
"Nice one, babe!" Romon shouts exultantly. His enthusiam fades a moment later as the two snake ladies vanish.

![]() |

Spellcraft 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
If he identifies what the lamia cast as being a form of invisibility (or fails to identify it at all...), Marak calls upon Nethys to open the third eyes of all present, as the Osiriani 'eye of power' glyph flares briefly around the left eyes of everyone within 40 ft.
Invisibility purge, 40 ft. radius

Esteriande d'Litran |

Esteriande probes the air in front of her where the two vanished with her blade. If it encounters nothing...
"Damn. Zey may 'ave gone to warn ze ogres - we will 'ave to move quickly if we do not wish to be interrupted before we secure ze gate to ze keep. Worse, we are missing Muchorak now. Romon, check ze doors..."
Esteriande draws a scroll from her haversack.

Inikai |

Inikai swings his sword through the area that the red-haired snake-woman had occupied. If he touches nothing he looks to the others to see if they divined what their enemies just did. Almost absently he shakes his head once sharply and the rams horns disappear.

Alisebett |

Sigh? So do I have to mention it? Scent? Even if Ali has to swtich to wolf, Lunas still has it. If you need a roll to determine if they can smell something right in front of them, lemme know. So...BEFORE the 2.5 rounds transpire...
As soon as the snake-woman disappear, DireAliWolf flows to AliWolf form , and, noses twicthing, the two wolves attempt by scent to determine if the pair are still there, and if not, to track down where they might be, Lunas adding his nose to help his den-sister hunt.
Aliwolf Perception: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 2 = 16
Aliwolf Survival (track by scent): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 = 23
Lunas Perception Aid Another: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Lunas Survival Aid Another(tracking by scent): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

"They have teleported away, not gone invisible, although they are most likely within a few hundred paces of our current location." Marak says decisively. "Many ogres will likely be swarming this location within minutes, we should prepare to make a stand at this bottleneck or leave the area now."

DM Wellard |

Ali gets the highly confusing scent of these creatures all over the room they have obviously lived in this room for some time. The scent in equal parts human and..reptilian overlaid with something that feels almost familiar to her but which her mind cannot quite pin down and also a distinct taint of evil..It pervades the area making accurate tracking almost impossible.

Esteriande d'Litran |

"We are 'ere to take the keep. Zey will take time to organise ze ogres, if we can secure ze gate, we 'ave a good chance to still succeed. If we delay, we give ze advantage to ze ogres."
Waiting for Romon to check the doors, which should not take much more than the 2 1/2 rounds they will be simultaneous with, while Esteriande will ready to use a scroll of Bull's Strength on herself.

Romon |

...
"Damn. Zey may 'ave gone to warn ze ogres - we will 'ave to move quickly if we do not wish to be interrupted before we secure ze gate to ze keep. Worse, we are missing Muchorak now. Romon, check ze doors..."...
"I'll check the doors, but I was doing something there before you riled them up. I know you were all hot to put those bad skanks down, but sometimes you need to feel what I'm doing before you go all YOMIDI on them. You hear what I'm saying? We'll talk about this later."
Romon slides over to the door, gives it the quick once over and, assuming it's clean and quiet beyond, throws it open.
Percept (Listen) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Percept (Traps) 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25
Disable device 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16

Esteriande d'Litran |

"I hear you," Esteriande nods. "Per'aps I was too 'asty."
She turns to Inikai.
"I do not zink Muchorak is not so foolish as to rush into a nest of ogres, no matter 'ow they ensorcelled 'im," she pauses. "Zey say no plan survives contact with ze enemy, and in zis case it is true," she sighs. "Alli, you can travel ze swiftest and you know 'im ze best. Will you follow 'im?"

Inikai |

"We still need to take control over the tunnel and the door to this room. I think we are better off in the tunnel where the narrow walls will work against the ogres and prevent them from massing. But they still will be able to attack from both directions."
"I have three more explosive globes from my necklace, one large and two small. And I still have two bottles of alchemist fire. I think we will need to rely on attacks that strike out from a distance and affect many foes at once. I can also spew fire, but only in moments separated by many seconds between, twice in a minute or so. And at the same rate, I can compel a weak-willed enemy to attack a friend for a moment. Hopefully that will be enough to get some of them to turn on each other. Ogres are not known for calmly working our their differences, after all."

Romon |

"The snake ladies might have ported out to ventilate Muchorak all by his lonesome. Be careful, Ali."
How was that door and what's ahead Wellard?
If there's a breathing space, Romon will move his thunderstone to his belt pouch and take a tanglefoot bag in hand. But he wants to know what's on the other side of the door first.
And Wellard wins a prize.

![]() |

Marak calls upon Nethys and looks around quickly for signs of magical auras in the area. "Whatever we do, we need to do it now. The lamia may have alerted the ogres already, or be attacking Muchorak as we speak."
casts detect magic and looks around for anything that might be useful in McGuyvering up a trap or something.
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Appraise, if it matters 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Romon |

Romon takes a tanglefoot bag in hand and moves his thunderstone to his belt pouch. He flips his ioun torch up to circle his head. "I'll have a look ahead."
The rogue slips through the northern door and glides quietly up the stairs with all his senses alert.
Take 10 on perception (23)and stealth (29)if I can. Although there must be a nasty penalty for the i-torch. Romon really wants to move away from where the snake ladies left us.
Hey is that stairway carved out of rock and bordered by walls everywhere or is it open on a side?

![]() |

Did I say the scroll was magical? You noticed it because you were looking for things and it was in plain view
My bad! I saw 'scroll' and my mind filled in 'magic.' And I missed being able to edit the old post by 2 minutes!
Edit;
Instead, Marak says, "This piece of paper might have some useful information on it... We need to get out of here, but I'll grab it to peruse when we have a moment."

Alisebett |

Racing ahead of Big Bear Aliwolf stops and turns and flows back to Gnome. Putting her hands out and with a serious look on her face she says "Big Bear! You stop now! Snake lady put spell on you, but she gone now so you no have to listen to her or go! We still here to fight nasty wolfkillers, Ogres, yes yes! Ali know you hate Ogres just as much as she, so we go kill'um dead now and then you can go play with snake lady after!"

DM Wellard |

Romon is also mission driven, but he wants to find a place the ogres won't expect him to be when they come. That's why he went up the stairs. Look out! We've separated the party.
Breaking rules numbers 1, 4, 7, 9 and 13
I will allow Muchorak a second saving throw with his favoured enemy bonus for ogres included This will not override the charm in the case of the redhead but will allow him to return to the party if successful.

Muchorak "Windstriker" |

Will 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
If the charm was to Go get help; and the cause of the charm is no longer there would there be much of an issue returning to his companions? Just curious.
Muchorak stops as Wolfspirit holds her hands out in front of him. "Ogres to kill." The shoanti almost grins, "Indeed she could also be in danger from the creatures." The ranger nods and turns back the way he came...

Romon |

Romon moves down the corridor, straining his eyes and ears for signs of foes and listening at each door as he goes.
Quick Stealth and Perception, taking 10 if possible. Perception (23)and stealth (29).
He's more intereseted in seeing where this corridor goes than in investigating what he assumes are rooms off the corridor.
