Let's try and get this show back on the road and attempt to start getting back to normal posting.
Nim, AC 20 is actually a miss so 4 less damage (44).

Aceynia attempts again to remove some images from Corbrius, but in a defensive manner

claw atk 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 8 - 2 - 4 = 18 dam 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Hit or Miss
claw atk 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 8 - 2 - 4 = 7 Miss

1d5 ⇒ 5
and succeeds in removing an image....she then steps back to -C,5

Map with a couple of small corrections.

I wasn't sure about the hit, but I was hoping. ;)

As for the map, Anton moved to C6 his last move... And the elemental attacked Aycenia last round, so it had to move adjacent to her. I believe Aedalis did not post the coordinates, but rather just mentioned he thing moving up to her "having not been told to do anything else" or some such thing. :)

Corbius again steps up to Aycenia determined to bring her down for the difficulties she has caused the party.
Avoiding her claws he quickly sketches the runes for another spell and his sword takes on a blue white radiance with the very air seeming to freeze around it. Taking advantage of her attack on one of his duplicates Corbius drives his rapier into her shoulder the tissue around it quickly turning black with frostbite from the cold.

Sorry in order to complete the aid another action you still need to hit an AC 10.

BTW the elemental was not attacking Aycenia and was attacking the tree. Due to it's original position it was attacking the tree and would have had to have made a move action to get over to her drawing an AOO.
Aedalis, did you want the Tree to take the AOO last round on it so it is beside her this round?

Nim had already provoked an AoO previously that round. If the tree has combat reflexes then it should have made another AoO.

You are correct for some reason I thought it started the combat attacking the tree. This is the last round it can attack then it disappears I believe since it arrived in Round 3.

No, but moving does. I think we should assume that a savvy DM knew what he was doing when he started backing off, and that he would continue to do so, 5' at a time.

Aedalis, you are up, if we don't see your action in the next 3-4 hours I will go ahead with my original thought, misfortune on the tree, cackle to extend the evil eye on it and 5' shift forward. Your two hex's expire on Aycenia.
Sorry for the slow posting past few days, we had friends in from out of town and was entertaining. Should get back to normal now.

Aedalis shifts forward 5' and tries to cause the tree more difficulties before focusing his power to extend the existing hexes.
Standard - misfortune, move action extend.

Does that drop Nim? Post higher up shows 12 HP?

EDIT!!!!!

At the last second just as the giant maw is about to clamp down on Nim, Anton quickly hooks the creature by the side of it's mouth with his weapon and gives a quick tug...it does little damage to the creature but is just enough to throw off it's trajectory, causing the Darkwood to miss Nim!!!

Harrrr, Harrrr, Harrrr... it laughs with a tooghy grin at Nim's rebuttal,

Anton rolls his eyes as he approaches the fallen dark dryad. "We've all been around and around on this, and you already know where I stand on it. With Chupe." He nods at the powerful chupacabra. "Thank you for showing me her true nature; I don't think I said that yet." The short ranger suddenly shifts the grip on his long polearm to aim its point at Aycenia's heart.

"But you had quite the reputation among the cannibals as a man-eater yourself, so as much as I like you and even want to trust you, I have to ask why it's so important to you that you kill her yourself. Is it pride? Because if you kill her, then she's just dead; but if I do, then she will be humiliated from beyond the grave, as the story of her extraordinary life ends with a mundane guy holding a mundane weapon, putting her down without passion, as if she were a rabid dog."

Anton narrows his eyes. "Or do you stand to gain something by being the one to kill her? I hope that you will forgive my suspicion, but I was last betrayed just a minute ago, so the possibility is at the top of my mind." He gives a slightly apologetic bow to the devil of Red Mountain, then firms up his grip and his aim.

Before you criticize my choice, remember what was said about my 'trusting nature'" -- said snarling, with air quotes -- "and check yourselves." He stomps off as best a halfling can, aided by the weight of a decent arsenal.

I am going to treat his action as a surprise action. Something like this can get a little dicy and hard to play out and people may want to try and stop him.
Is anyone hellbent on trying to stop this action or can we let it go and move forward?
If so it would require a stealth check (by Anton) vs. opposed perception. Then a roll of init in the surprise round...and so on vs. I can script this one out and you can RP the results...let me know. I am still not sure someone could stop him though other than physically stopping him.

Tragershen will not interfere. Indeed, he smiles briefly with satisfaction at the deed. When the halfling storms off, Tragershen watches that he doesn't go too far by himself.

It seems a few of us stayed in "rounds"... and some of us took a little more liberty with their (multiple multiple) actions. :)

As for how things could be resolved should someone wish to prevent Anton from killing the dryad, I would point out that coup de gras is a full round action as opposed to a standard action like disarming or casting entangle. And seeing as how the two PC's would (temporarily at least) be considered adversaries, and that coup de gras provokes AoO, I would say that anyone within reach could try to interfere. ;)

That being said... allow me to catch up. :P

As the fate of the fallen dryad is debated, and the Red Mountain Devil is questioned, Nim steps closer to Anton and Corbious (with Wic joining him at his side) in a show of solidarity against the outsider.

When Anton begins his speech and aims his weapon at the dryad's heart, Nim's grip tightens on his sword. He spits when Anton states he stands with the devil, but otherwise makes no move.

As the devil questions Corbious about when it has lied to them, Nim thinks to himself, When your lips have moved? Lies of omission are lies the same...

As Anton looks to the devil for approval for his next act, Nim growls in anger. I care not for the dryad! I care not is she dies! But the devil does not decide here! And Corbious has earned the right of final strike...

As Anton moves to make good on his threat, Nim briefly contemplates swatting his weapon aside, but does not act on his thought. As the dryad dies and Anton goes on his tirade, Nim does not take his eyes from the devil, sword at the ready.

As Anton moves off in a huff, Nim makes no move to stop him, nor keep track of him, before stating matter of factly to the devil, Contrary to what my little friend thinks, the dryad did not fool all of us, nor are most of us "trusting". Myself especially! If eating men is the standard to which one is being judged for death, then it seems you should follow the dryad into the afterlife. I, for one, care not for such things. Everything needs to eat. Sometimes you eat and sometimes you are eaten. That is the nature of the world. What I do care about is your repeated threats against us and our fellow companions. Make no mistake, we are not friends, but whether we become enemies is based upon what you do in the next few moments, and during the rest of our time here in the island. We have done as you wished. Now is when you shall tell us all that we wish to know...

For the record...:
Nim didn't like the dryad from the very moment he met her. :) As for her illusions, the only illusion at play was her (at-will) major image that disguised her tree's true form. (The real reason she didn't want Nim "communing" with the banyan... it would have allowed for an "interaction" will save :) She herself wasn't disguised, other than by her deceptive and false intentions.

Just got back, I'll catch up as soon as I can - but no objection to Aycenia dying.

Having spent time passively observing, Mihsai feels a tremor in his stomach... he wonders if it is something he ate or the presence of the devil. He cringes at Anton's use of a pet name for the beast, and his face hardens as the halfling seems to side with the devil over his companions.

But for now, Mihai watches in contemplative silence.

Agreed, just meaning you would have had to grapple or attack Anton to stop him but now a mute point, thanks! Moving on.

Anton strikes the Dryad and plunges the hammer into her heart...there is a moment of silence before the huge tree shudders. It suddenly occurs to you that you never checked to determine if the tree is actually dead?
It is hard to tell but with Nim's expertise you determine that the plant is still alive, in some fashion. You quickly hack it a few times to put it down before looking over it again and confirming you think it is now dead plant material...

My name is Grrrolik, not Devil!

pointing to the Dryad.
I had a lifelong enemy I could not defeat due to it's magic, you werrre my only avenue... it starts in a defensive tone before it stops and seems to contemplate something before continuing...

In it's more assertive tone, You arrre rrrright we did not meet underrr good....seems to struggle for the words times. You can lowerrr yourrr weapons, I have no desirrre to fight with you. Things arrre now good between us, you will see. You have completed ourrr barrrrgain.

She did magic to me and made me fetch a snake forrr herrr to do something with beforrre the grrreat magic happened. I have avoided herrr since, I don't want herrr telling me something bad like fly into the ocean.

First things first... how are our other companions at the cannibal camp?

As for Ieana, we seek her for answers. We did not view her as an enemy until we suspected her for somehow sabataging the ship we were on, causing us to be stranded here.
