Yes, it is true, we may be getting close to our first throw down. I finally looked over everyone's (except for Silas, ran out of time) character sheet. Below are the comments/questions I have. Just a reminder, we are using average HP each level beyond first.

Bloody:
Top of your character sheet says you're human. Where did you get the New Identity trait? You can use your bardic performance 11 rounds/day now.

Karsielle:
Where did you get the Forbidden Lore trait? Your saves should be F:+3 R:+3 W:+5. Also, I'm giving everyone 2,500 gold for being 3rd level. You may want to buy a few things. Most things are allowed, just run it by me if it's too exotic.

Suny:
We are 3rd level, so you need to level up one more level. Also, see above about average HP per level.

Spoiler:
HP: 08/22, AC: 17(Max 21(T13,FF14), DR: 1(Water Based Critters), F:+4, R:+7, W:+2, Perc: +6, Init: +3.

Okeys. Doin' it as soon as I c'n (^_^)

Okeys, am up th' level...an' confuzzlin' m'self wi' me own avatars.... >_>

initiative:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22(Fer th' coming throw down)

Male Half-elf Bard(Street Preformer):4

Bloody Flag seeing Suny talk past him turns around and looks to whoever is there and says with a stern look, "Bothersome scum".

Intimidate(if I can):1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
Initiative:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

DM Sinvel:
Bluff(to hide my shock at who it is):1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Also I fixed those two minor things and I got that trait from the ones you gave us a link for on the recruitment page.

"Turn around, coward." says a booming voice from over Bloody's shoulder. "You killed my brother by stabbing him in the back like a coward, but I want to look you in the face when I take your life."

Suny is up first. Here is a map of the alley that everyone is standing in. The nice red rooftop is The Black Rose. The alley dead ends to the left and the thugs block the path to the street to the right.

Suny is up. Bloody, you weren't able to get your intimidate in before initiatives, but I'll let you keep that nice result. Intimidate is a standard action that provokes though, so keep that in mind.

I'll give Silas 1d6 rounds to notice that the gang is missing and to come out and look for his friends. 1d6 ⇒ 3

Also, to help speed up combat, you can give me your actions in a spoiler before it is your turn.

F Exotic Elf TBA

"Oooo...poot," Suny exclaims even as she skips forwards.

Okeys, moving diagonally forwards as far as I can this turn. So aiming to be some where near I-13 or H-14.

"Hey there mates, we c'n talk about this first. Afore any one goes an' does somthin'....stooopid." Even Suny winces as she realizes her words may not have been the most diplomatic.

Suny's hands are still behind her back, within reach of her short swords. Every one else is up and then next round. Also, I always hope to keep up with the game, but being in a very different time zone and shift work sometimes do not help *Bows*

DM Sinvel:

I probably have too many options until I see what happens with Vengeful Guy and Bloody. Assuming violence, I will be working my way toward a flanking position on Vengeful Guy if possible, possibly with Acrobatics. If that doesn't look practical, I will be moving to attack. If Bloody or Suny take damage I'll be looking to do damage ASAP. If they are holding up ok, I'll open by trying to blind Vengeful Guy with a kick of sand.

On the other hand, if it stays diplomatic, I'll aid another, most likely on Bloody's Intimidate since it doesn't look like Suny is going to try a skill-based diplomatic approach

Male Half-elf Bard(Street Preformer):4

DM Sinvel:
If Vengeful guy attacks him i will use Harmless Preformer(its my bardic Preformance so using 1 round) to cause him not to lose that attack and if he has another he would attack the nearest ally if he fails a Will DC: 14, and thats a Immediate action.

Then my action will be taking a five foot step back, and saying "Run little Man." and casting Cause fear on him. Will DC:14.

Perform(acting):1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Bluff:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
If you let me do a Bluff to avoid a crack of fear in my voice that would be cool but if not I understand, and thx for being so cool about my character he's a handful haha. Let me know if you got any questions
If fear works it will last for 1d4 ⇒ 1 round

Round 1
The angry man never takes his eyes off of Bloody's back when Suny approaches. He waits for Bloody to turn to look him in the eyes. Bloody takes a step away from the man and turns to cast a spell. The man's face suddenly goes a bit white, but he still follows through on his promise to attack Bloody. He swings a some sort of spiked weapon at Bloody and makes solid contact. 7 points of damage Bloody

The man's two friends step up. "Stay ou' o' this if ye know what be good fer ye." one of the men says to Suny through tobacco-stained teeth.

Karsielle narrows her eyes and takes a step reaching for her whip. She cracks the whip at the man's head, Scorpion Whip attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 but misses badly.

Mishael steps up to face one of the thugs, and swings her cutlass at him. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 the man takes 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 points of damage.

Updated Map. No sign of Silas, he is still inside The Black Rose. Suny is up.

F Exotic Elf TBA

As 'Angry Man' takes a piece out of Flag and 'Tobacco-breath' gives his warning, Suny pulls her short swords from their sheaths behind her back.
"No." She states emphatically shaking her blond mop of hair.

"It don't work like that. Your mate want's t' gripe? Okeys then, he c'n gripe. But when some one want's t' take pieces out'a friend o' mine?." Suny steps into the fellow blocking her and swings. "I kind'a feel obliged t' take pieces right back."

Round 2
After Suny rips one of the thugs with her blades, Bloody starts a strange intimidating act which has an affect on the large angry man. He looks confused for a moment, and then turns his attention to Mishael, attacking her instead (for 7 points of damage).

Tobacco breath looks determined to make Suny sorry for hitting him. He slashes as her with his dagger. Suny also takes 7 points of damage.

Bloody steps up to face his accuser and takes a swing at the tall intimidating man. It looks as though his blades should have missed, but instead his blade cuts through the mans shirt and slashes his skin.

His enemy is not deterred. "For Evan!!" he yells as he tries to bring his weapon down on to Bloody's head, but the man's anger must have distracted him because Bloody easily steps out of harm's way.

Bloody:
He saved this time for you performance but since that particular one acts like the spell sanctuary it is negated as soon as you attack the person under the influence. Also, he has bravery so the cause fear you did earlier just made him shaken.

After seeing his friend drop, the other thug thinks twice about his life and flees (Taking a full round withdraw so no AoO from anyone).

Mishael steps up next to the belligerent man attacking them and swings her cutlass once more, her gaze looking fiery and her strength glowing. She connects but the angry man seems undeterred.

Waiting for Karsielle to act before starting Round 4. Updated Map

Suny takes a 'Five Foot Step' forwards and to her left, (So, putting her at H-15). Calmly she watches the fight, swords held loose and ready but not seeming eager to finish the now very outnumbered fellow.

She holds her tongue as the events before her play out. She also uses this time to watch the surrounding streets and alleys. Noting any gawkers, watchers and generally seeing how much attention the group's kerfuffle has created.

There are not any on-lookers at this point. The alley goes down about 100' before it meets the road, which isn't that crowded at this point. A 5' step will only place you at H14 or I14. You could use this round to flank the man or cut off his escape.

Suny also nods,

"Aye, they put a hole in me duds." She comments absently, "But yer soothin' charms did fix th' gash in me right up." She gives Karsielle a bright smile.

So, other than Flag es'plainin' his new freinds here, whut say we spend some shine on out accoutrements an' see about checkin' out a place whut might have information about th' person we's of interest in?" She asks, stepping over to the unconscious fellow, crouching down, and beginning to check his pockets and his health.

Female elf Cleric/4 HP: 27/27

Karsielle glides smoothly over to the man lying on the ground, she smiles her lips thin lines of red tight and curved slightly upwards, "Let me see if this man might be of use, a to.... I mean a useful tool in our armory against the thugs of this city." First she utters a few words and touches the man with a faint warm yellowy glow on her fingers, the worst of the bleeding tops as the glow surrounds the thug. Casts stabilize. Then she winks, "I take it you will want to ask him some questions too? If you have no use for him, then I'll let him rest this night under the stars, let Desna look after him, but if not then ..."

She waits for an answer, before holding up her amber pendant. Karsielle again calls to her god, asking for her to turn this man's mind into a slave enamored by her beauty and pliable to her will. There is a mist above the man's head, which seems to shrink into a ghostly apparition of a small wasp like creature, no more than inch long. It appears to sting the man's bloody head and disappear immediately, as the man groans slightly. Casts Charm Person on the unconscious thug, Will Save DC=14 She whispers in his ear, "When you wake, take my soothing hand and tell me, just why you are here? and why you wanted to hurt my friend so? now we are friends, tell me where you met that other man, who seemed so full of revenge? Help us and you will be made whole again. You have no need of a weapon with me here, save to protect me from the night."

Karsielle, stands and calls Mischael, "I will heal him now, stay and you will heal too." Chanel Positive Energy 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 to include the group and the thug. As the man feels the warming healing flow over him, Karsielle stretches out her hand, "Come my friend, let me look after you after your toil." Her long leg slips revealingly for out of her cloak, revealing the tight black leather rising up the curves of her leg, up and up, into the folds of her cloak, above her knee. As the quiet voice continues to dance in his ears, "You are amongst friends now, one's that won't leave you for dead. Rise"

Hope you don't mind several actions, but its what Karsielle will do and I got on a bit of a roll with the narrative. Unless the group stop her, she will complete the narrative, if the group stops her she will leave the man stable and on the floor. If she feels the man has resisted her spell, she will not heal him any more without BF and Mischael ready to control him.

After Karsielle administers her deity's influence on the thug. It seems to be working like a charm. "Reagan. His name is Reagan Storm. I first met him when I was a young boy. For some reason he told me that your friend here had killed his brother, Evan, sometime back." he looks up and gives a deep sigh, washing a horrid stench over Karsielle. "I guess he was wrong. All:
Hey, no worries Karsielle, when the Muse takes you its a great thing. So, Suny knows the Captain Montrose was known to frequent a higher class place of entertainment and indulgence. Could the DM perhaps give a short recap on what every one knows? Cheers to all. (^_^)

The group quickly goes over the information they have been able to gather so they can decide what to do next. Suny says she was able to find out that Montrose may have been getting his girls from a place called The House of Serenity which is located in The Old City. A few of you have heard of the place and know that this bordello is known for its discretion and its upper class customers since they are the only ones able to afford the high prices of the services rendered there. Mishael is able to confirm that the bartender also told her to check out The House of Serenity.

Bloody and Karsielle gathered that someone looking like Montrose used to come into The Black Rose quite often, but that he hasn't been seen there in a month or so, several weeks before he went missing.

You all note that none of the people you got information from knew him as Captain Montrose, which makes sense since he isn't on best terms with the Sea Lord or the Watch because of the money laundering services he offers. He is most likely using an alias.

Female elf Cleric/4 HP: 27/27

Kaersielle steps back, almost retching as the man's breath envelopes her, her nose wrinkles up, this is not the sort of man she really wants to be around, or have around her. He's no good as a bodyguard. She bends to BF and quietly whispers to him, "You are right, this one doesn't even make a good toy" She stands straight again looking the man in the eyes, "It seems your life is safe now, but don't cross our paths again, I may not be able to rescue you next time. You have been most helpful, now go and clean yourself up, the nights activities have left their mark. I suggest you steer clear of Reagan and seek more dependable friends, like these kind friends of mine. However now we must move on, behave yourself and respect your neighbors. Steer clear of those who lead you on the path of violence and revenge. Now go."

She takes out a perfumed cloth from her clothing and wafts it around, and under her nose to relieve the smells of the man.

Once the odor has gone, she looks forward to spending time at The House of Serenity, the barmaid will have to wait.

Male Half-elf Bard(Street Preformer):4

As Karsielle finishes talking to the man, he leans down and looks at the man like he is just a insect. "Listen dog, if you are foolish enough to talk with Reagan again. Tell him if he values his soul he will not attempt this again or feed him to the beasts in the sewers, Got it!" Bloody Threatens. He then gets up and looks to the group,"Where to next?

And adds a few more to the 'relevant' areas about the man's person,

"You name would be?" She asks by way of starting a conversation, and then gives the fellow directions of where to head off to such that the group can contact him easily in the future, when they have more 'free' time where every one can get to know each other better.

Hearing Flag's question Suny finishes with 'Breath-mint guy' and replies,

"Well, we get some suitable duds and a quick sprucing up, then off t' The House of Serenity." She grins.
