Man, double crisis. I'll double my prayers to match. Seriously, youall are doing wonders for my prayer life. I wish you weren't. Still, know that somebody you don't know is going to bat for you. :)

I hope your wife is ok Ed.
Thirzin - I'm sorry for your loss :(
Two of my co-workers lots a parent this week. On Monday one lost their mother and today one lost their father :(
Thirzin Bronzebeard
Sad days all around. I was pretty good friends with him. He was one of the folks at work who a good deal of folks didn't understand his real dry sense of humor but I did. We never really hung out, outside of work, since he had two young (elementary school age) kids, and he was all about being a good dad.
It still doesn't seem real, but I'm definitely still here and I just have to do as good as I can. All one can really do these days.

Well. I don't know whether posting this will lighten the mood, or just come across as horribly self-indulgent... but here we go.
Remember how I said my fiance got a local artist to draw Spoony for my birthday? Well, here he is. Art is by the talented Anthea Wright, in case anyone wants to give her some work. Fun fact: the initial sketch gave him a jawline like Gaston. Oof.
And on a far less game-related note, my engagement ring. =)

Thete is something missing in that picture.....
Ah yes, it needs a Noro by your side...
Great picture though, and the ring ain't bad either
DM-Salsa
Coolness. Both the ring and the picture.
I'll have an update coming soon. Sorry, things have been hectic lately, and that's likely to continue until the new year.
Noro Kas
Please update the map as I do not have any idea what you guys are doing... door? what door, we never even checkout a door before.
is there a secret map that I haven't found yet?

Well, my good mood is evaporating a little... My stepsisters are moving back in. The two people I most hate living with. One of them is thick as two short planks and illiterate to the point of not being able to spell "apricot jam" while holding the damn jar, and the other one is the moodiest, grouchiest person I've ever met. And they're moving bak in. Hooray -__-
I guess the silver lining is that Fiancé hopes to have our own place by the end of next year...
Noro Kas
See Noro is moving in with ya.... I knew we would be together.
just trying to lighten the mood some hopefully to get a smile and / or a laugh.

Well, It's bad news time. I need to put this and the other two games on hold until January. I need to focus on some things for both work and mental health, and I'm not able to do that and run three games at the same time.
I'll be back as soon as I can, but that won't be until the second weekend in January.
Horatio A Aldebrandt
Sorry to hear you're not in a good headspace, mate. You focus on taking care of yourself first and foremost, and I look forward to this picking up again after the Silly Season. =)
Thirzin Bronzebeard
I definitely agree with what everyone has said, Boss. Let us know when things ramp back up, and you're in our thoughts.
On a totally different topic, I was realizing that this group of players would do amazing at Skull & Shackles.
Olivius_Telraven
I've actually run that one. My meatspace game will finish it early next year. And I've run book one twice. And I hoped into book two with a character not too long ago. :P
Asuriel Arktaros
Man, S&S makes me sad. I spent a weekend developing a character for a game and my friend who was going to GM it backed out on the actual start date. /sadpanda
On a different train of thought I was thinking how funny it would be if we transplanted these RotR characters into other AP games and how different it would be!
Thirzin Bronzebeard
I miss being in a couple of games with that one. I'm in one game that's going at a decent pace, but the second has ground to a complete halt. :( That AP is probably my favorite.
Asuriel Arktaros
I'm not opposed to running it, I just wanna play it more :D I'm the designated GM in my group so I rarely get to actually PLAY in any games. If we can't find anyone, I'll be open to it.
Thirzin Bronzebeard
Or if we could find people to flip flop on DM-ing, that'd be an option, so everyone gets to play. I surprisingly had a great character concept but I don't know if he's ever going to make it to even the mutiny.
Olivius_Telraven
I've already run it, so I would be an ideal choice, but I'm not sure I can take that on. I'm pretty capped as far as dming goes at 4 games.
Asuriel Arktaros
Maybe we could rotate a GM for each chapter. But that's an investment. Curiously, I saw a S&S PFS game which stated they were going to complete a chapter each month (!). I have no idea how that is even possible.
Horatio A Aldebrandt
I think this group of players could rock absolutely any AP or module. We seem to be a solid bunch who bounce off each other fantastically, and I surely hope everyone else has as much fun as I do.
As for porting these specific PCs to other APs? That could be interesting. I could see Horatio working really well in Curse of the Crimson Throne, Council of Thieves, and the like... Perhaps not so much in things like Iron Gods or Skull & Shackles. (Besides, Aramis is my pirate lass, and I'll never let her go.)
That said... If anyone wants to get their sci-fi on, I'm seriously considering running Iron Gods sometime...
Thirzin Bronzebeard
I was in an S&S game that completed the whole campaign in 3 months. It was an amazing game, with great characters, and a whole lot of fun. It was insane though. If folks are interested, I could begin the search for someone to run it?
Olivius_Telraven
Wow. That is dedication.
I could run the first chapter, if we agreed to a rotating schedule. I'm hesitant to pick up and run a full AP.
Asuriel Arktaros
Despite a full plate of like ten games I'm in I find myself yearning for more (I know I'm a lunatic). So if you guys are doing it, whatever it may be, consider me in by default. I absolutely love playing with you all.
Thirzin Bronzebeard
Thirzin Bronzebeard
So...I see two other people that like this idea. What say our other folks? Are folks interested in adding S&S to our merry band of players' lineup? I mean, regardless of whether it's done with these characters or not.
Olivius_Telraven
Youall will probably meet a different version of Olivius if this goes down. A much more rebellious and violent version. But if I'm DMing he'll be an npc and in the background for the first book.
DM-Salsa
Interested in both S&S and Iron Gods. I have concepts for both that I'd love to play.
But gotta get stuff straight first.
Horatio A Aldebrandt
If I end up running Iron Gods, my buddy Matt already has dibs on a wizard with a sniper rifle. I'd do a private recruitment for my first PBP, and you'd all be invited, of course ;-) I'd even be willing to wait long enough for Salsa to get his head back in the game.
For Skull & Shackles... Eh, why not. I'd be in. Same character or new, I could go either way. If we went new, it'd take me a while to come up with a good enough concept. If we kept these PCs, I'd have to rework Spoony a bit conceptually... Thankfully, mechanically, he'd fit in just about anywhere. (But making ANOTHER alias for him?)
Thirzin Bronzebeard
I would think I would almost want to try something like a skald, since they seem to really fit so well into that area.
So...with this S&S game, who all is interested in running it?
Olivius_Telraven
I just had a mildly insane idea that whoever DMed with me have to sign of on. But...
What if we all went Dreamscarred Press on this thing? No Paizo classes. Only Psionic or Path of War.
The encounters will have to be tweaked a bit as psionics nova really well, but that shouldn't be too difficult.
Thoughts?
Thirzin Bronzebeard
Ummmm....I'm honestly not a huge fan of psionics. And I've never really looked at Path of War. I love me some Paizo classes and have been jonesing for a chance at some of the classes out there.
Horatio A Aldebrandt
O_O
*eagerly begins digging through Path of War*
Olivius_Telraven
Take a look at path of war, Thirzin. It's kinda awesome. If you're not impressed, then I see no reason to say no to a good skald. I love that class

Can I dot here? :)
So...with this S&S game, who all is interested in running it?
As a last resort I will -- but I wanna play! If everyone wants to play we could always post in the recruitment threads that we have a full group ready to play we just need a DM to take the helm for us.
What if we all went Dreamscarred Press on this thing? No Paizo classes. Only Psionic or Path of War.
If that is what everyone wants to do, but I'm with the dwarf on this one -- I love Paizo classes and there are still soooo many new ones. You could always dip into the new playtest ones if you are tired of what's out there. Also, could you not include both? Must it be exclusive?
