Robin(bot), seeing the giant helpless and taunted stops talking and just watches in amusement. Atrius moves up close to the edge of the black tentacles and swats the giant hard. The tentacles continue to grapple the giant and dire wolf, damaging both of them, while Marcellano tries to communicate with it. Cadas moves next to Atrius and stabs the giant with her trident. Adolina shoots her crossbow at the giant, wounding it further.

The giant, between bouts of laughter, responds to Marcellano, "mama and my brothers will kill you, so do your worst", and he is not able to get up or stop laughing. The dire wolf continues to try and break free, but he just does not have the strength.

Robin continues to stand back, letting the warriors do their thing and destroy the giant and dire wolf. Atrius puts the giant so it is bleeding out, and Cadas and Adolina make sure it does not get back up again, ever. Marcellano tentacles finish off the wolf, and it is dead.

After the battle is over, the firepelt cougar gently takes Adolina leg in her mouth, not biting, and begins to pull her towards the woods to the west, away from the trail. She pulls slightly, lets go and walks towards the woods, looking back to make sure that the group is following her.

All foes vanquished, no one took any damage.

Marcellano dismisses the tentacles so Robin can inspect the body, and he discovers that deformed humanoid has a magical spear, and a magical belt. Adolina nods to the cougar, and she follows it into the bush. The creature seems to be very well trained, as it stops every so often to ensure that the elf is following her. After finishing the body search, the rest of you head off into woods, following the easy trail that Adolina left and quickly catch up.

Only fifteen minutes later, you come upon a sickly farm in a clearing in the forest. The woods around their land are decorated with several hanging cornhusk and leather humanoid shaped fetishes meant to ward off intruders—an investigation of any of these fetishes reveals they’re stuffed with what appears to be a mix of dirt and human hair. A tangled field of corn and other diseased plants grows in the eastern section of their land, while to the north slump two sagging buildings: a barn and a farmhouse. Both have had their windows boarded over, and moss and fungus grow heavy on the shaded sides of the decrepit structures.

The cougar, stops and looks at Adolina, and growls low while looking over at the house.

The firepelt cougar, looks at Adolina with a puzzled look, and moves to her side following the elf. While not as stealthy as Adolina or Robin, the cat seems to be quite at home moving silently.

Adolina and Robin move stealthily along the western side of the clearing, keeping just inside the woods, when Adolina hears tramping thru the woods on the other side. She notices an 8-foot-tall creature with a grotesquely deformed head that resembles a giant pumpkin on the right side, a huge puffy mass of tumors and overgrown bone giving his head a lopsided look. It seems to be headed towards the barn.

"Look, ogre here!" announces Robin as he spots the beast. "Get it, look ogre here?" With the help of magic (lots of it) Robin tries to induce not groans but uncontrollable laughter in the ogre! Hideous Laughter, Will DC18 or falls and starts laughing.

Hideous Laughter:
This spell afflicts the subject with uncontrollable laughter. It collapses into gales of manic laughter, falling prone. The subject can take no actions while laughing, but is not considered helpless. After the spell ends, it can act normally. On the creature’s next turn, it may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect. This is a full round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If this save is successful, the effect ends. If not, the creature continues laughing for the entire duration.

A creature with an Intelligence score of 2 or lower is not affected. A creature whose type is different from the caster’s receives a +4 bonus on its saving throw, because humor doesn’t “translate” well.
