Robin(bot), seeing the giant helpless and taunted stops talking and just watches in amusement. Atrius moves up close to the edge of the black tentacles and swats the giant hard. The tentacles continue to grapple the giant and dire wolf, damaging both of them, while Marcellano tries to communicate with it. Cadas moves next to Atrius and stabs the giant with her trident. Adolina shoots her crossbow at the giant, wounding it further.
The giant, between bouts of laughter, responds to Marcellano, "mama and my brothers will kill you, so do your worst", and he is not able to get up or stop laughing. The dire wolf continues to try and break free, but he just does not have the strength.

Whoops! Forgot I had a turn. But that's exactly what he'd do anyway.
"Wrong answer, buddy!" Robin seems content to hang back and let everyone finish the job.
Stopping Bardic Performance, seems unnecessary now.

After the battle is over, the firepelt cougar gently takes Adolina leg in her mouth, not biting, and begins to pull her towards the woods to the west, away from the trail. She pulls slightly, lets go and walks towards the woods, looking back to make sure that the group is following her.
All foes vanquished, no one took any damage.

Adolina waits just long enough to check that everyone is following before gliding off into the woods after her new friend, curious to see what this beautiful, and apparently loyal, beast is leading them to.
She makes sure to displace twigs and so forth, so that there is a clear trail for the rest to follow.

Marcellano Gallenica |

"It certainly seems possible," Marcellano says, frowning as he dismisses the tentacles so that Robin can get at the giant's body. He follows closely behind the others.

Marcellano dismisses the tentacles so Robin can inspect the body, and he discovers that deformed humanoid has a magical spear, and a magical belt. Adolina nods to the cougar, and she follows it into the bush. The creature seems to be very well trained, as it stops every so often to ensure that the elf is following her. After finishing the body search, the rest of you head off into woods, following the easy trail that Adolina left and quickly catch up.
Only fifteen minutes later, you come upon a sickly farm in a clearing in the forest. The woods around their land are decorated with several hanging cornhusk and leather humanoid shaped fetishes meant to ward off intruders—an investigation of any of these fetishes reveals they’re stuffed with what appears to be a mix of dirt and human hair. A tangled field of corn and other diseased plants grows in the eastern section of their land, while to the north slump two sagging buildings: a barn and a farmhouse. Both have had their windows boarded over, and moss and fungus grow heavy on the shaded sides of the decrepit structures.
The cougar, stops and looks at Adolina, and growls low while looking over at the house.

Marcellano takes the time to scan the fetishes with detect magic as the party moves through, looking faintly disgusted by their contents. When the party reaches the farmstead, he hangs toward the back.
"Well?" he asks the others. "I admit that I'm not champing at the bit to be the first one to open that door and find...whatever has our friend here all riled up."

"Shall we Robin?" Adolina asks with a smile before crouching down to face the cougar. "Stay with my friends." She points at Cadas, hoping that the cleric is good with animals. "I'll be back in a moment." A small part of her hopes that she can keep the cat, which is rapidly growing in her affections.
(With Robin at her side?) Adolina slips off towards the barn. Stealth: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (12) + 29 = 41 (-10 if I have to hellcat)

Marcellano Gallenica |

"Aha. A belt of giant strength - appropriate enough, I suppose- identical I function to that Atrius is wearing," Marcellano says. "The spear is simply enchanted for accuracy. And that is, sadly, likely to be offset by its inappropriate size. We can sell it later."
No objections to you taking the belt, Cadas, since Atrius has one.
As Robin and Adolina approach the house, Marcellano follows at a safe distance and, from 60' away, scans the dwelling for magic.

The firepelt cougar, looks at Adolina with a puzzled look, and moves to her side following the elf. While not as stealthy as Adolina or Robin, the cat seems to be quite at home moving silently.
Adolina and Robin move stealthily along the western side of the clearing, keeping just inside the woods, when Adolina hears tramping thru the woods on the other side. She notices an 8-foot-tall creature with a grotesquely deformed head that resembles a giant pumpkin on the right side, a huge puffy mass of tumors and overgrown bone giving his head a lopsided look. It seems to be headed towards the barn.
The rest of the group had just started to follow when Cadas also points out the creature.

Both this creature and the one you fought are medium sized, so the belt and spear are sized appropriately.

Cadas |

Cadas motions to the others to stop and stay still until the creature enters the barn. She then continues with her plan to close with the barn first.

Adolina glances back and sees that the rest of the group are waiting. She does likewise until the creature enters the barn at which point she gestures to Robin to move up to the doorway.
As the creature moved past she studied it carefully, noting its gait and how the tumours obstruct its vision somewhat from one side. Studied Target on the pumpkin thing!

Robin the Jester |
Robin also seems ready to let the creature enter into the barn.
As the party regroups, he considers whether he can cast Message without being heard by the creature. If he thinks it's safe, he will do so, in order to pass messages while scouting.
He will then try to move up to the doorway with Adolina.

Marcellano Gallenica |

Heck, Marcellano will hang onto the spear, then. At least until we get to civilization and can sell it!
Marcellano watches the deformed creature warily.
