Hi there! Welcome to the Starfinder scenario SFS 1-02 - Fugitive of the Red Planet which will start on or slightly after Aug 25, 2017 as part of PBP Gameday VI)

I first want to get the house rules out of the way so we have a common understanding. I assume you will have read this.

Please take notice of the following:

• I expect everyone to be supportive of each other, we are exploring a new ruleset and I expect that we will make mistakes. That is no issue, as long as we keep the communication open.
  
• I handle initiative in posting order.
  
• I expect you to use the appropriate lines (Race, Classes / Levels and Gender) to give me vital information (AC, Saves etc) about your character. You can take a look at my aliases for a PFS example.
  
• I attempt to post at least once a day during weekdays and at least once during the weekend. When I do not post: I have not forgotten about you, there were other things to do with my time that took priority.
  
• For decision making purposes: when two characters agree on a course of action we will go with their decision.
  
• And most important: this is a game and I expect us all to have fun while playing! If something causes you not to have fun: please address it (either here or in a PM) and I will do my utmost to get you back to having fun again.

Once the information is available, fill in the things down below

Fame: Starting Fame
Gold: Starting wealth you bring into the adventure. This should be the total on your previous chronicle. If you want to buy any new stuff... see further on. This is the total before you make other purchases.
Slow/Normal: What speed do you want
Dayjob: What is it + the roll

question: Would people mind if we use roll20 for maps? I want to try out the lightning with it, hand outs etc (if people don't have an account or don't feel comfortable I understand)

I do about 95% of my posting from my phone so I can't access it at all times. But, if the rest are in favor, I'll make do.

I have a slight preference for google for mapping, but I would say that you should use whatever makes it easiest for you to run the game.

Google slides works best for me, but I'm willing to do Roll20 if you want. The lighting thing is kinda cool.

Do the forums support a separate Starfinder PFS char yet or do you just generate another PFS char #?

I checked yesterday and it doesn't seem to support a seperate character, yet. However, seeing as we're supposed to have a seperate charcter number for SFS (You keep your PFS# but start counting chracters from 700), I don't think we can make a profile yet.

On a different note, I'm really intrigued by using roll 20 but I post a good amount from my phone so I may have to ask people to move me...

Hello everyone.

Reporting in. I'll fill in all my info as soon as possible.

Google maps works great for me, I've never used roll20 but I wouldn't have minded giving it a try.

Also, would this be a good time to talk about character ideas? I'm thinking about playing a soldier, unless someone is really set on taking that role. If that's the case, I'm also curious about playing a technomancer.

@djpika atm no seperate sfs charnumbers yet, they will be starting with 700 for SFS chars

I am probably going to try a mystic to start with.

I'm thinking an Operative or a Mechanic. Though, I could also be talked into an Envoy.

Are folks planning on making a char before the start date? Or using pre-gens?

I won't know what I want to play until I see the actual book. The previews can make things look interesting, but they don't provide much actual information because we don't have a context for them. I do plan to make my own character for this.

Just 2 more weeks till the books drop. I hope everyone is excited for it. I know I am!

I have my PDFs of the books, but I'm working my way through them before building characters. Also, we don't have any guides or anything yet, so we don't know for sure what starting wealth will be or if everything in the CRB will be legal. I have decided what characters to build and which one to use in each game, as well as registering my characters.

Starfinder Society Guide

I had a great idea for an android exocortex mechanic that I'd like to play here. If someone else was set on a mechanic, though, I'm perfectly willing to try other classes, too. I don't have any numbers ready yet, but shall be working on it this week/weekend.

I might have to just play a level 1 pregen as my book still hasn't arrived. I'm still keen on giving the mystic a run through, however.

My book is still on its way but I'll buy the PDF tomorrow. Will have the character up by tomorrow night!

I still have a few days, so I'm going to hope my book arrives before then. If not, I'll just run the pregen.

I kn ow I said I was looking at using Asier for this but I found a blog post that pointed to this scenario being an attempt at a space western. I don't think that would suit Asier very well and I much rather play this with a character better suited to this scenario (especially as it's not an evergreen.)

I'm looking at making a red-skinned Akiton human with a cowboy-esque flair, who is a good shot with a gun and has a good charisma. I can build him to be a Solarion, Operative, Envoy, Soilder, or, if changing classes this soon before the game starts causes problems, a Mechanic.

Sorry if this is a problem and I will build to cover holes in the party but I need to know what class would be good to build for.

GM Hmm has made this template for character information. And I think a lot of people are waiting on stafinder avatars (I have at least, which is why none of my SFS characters have avatars yet.)

My character will be a Damaya Lashunta. I haven't decided on an envoy or a technomancer though.

On a different note, today was probably the busiest day of summer for me and I'm am exhausted. I can definitely get a character ready tomorrow morning (by midnight East coast time) but not today! Sorry it's being so last minute.

no worries :) gameday starts the 25th but we will most likely kick it off over the weekend :)

Sorry, I'm still holding out hoping that they'll add avatars soon, although it looks unlikely. It helps with the creation process. My backup plan is to make a T-1000-esque android soldier with the guard fighting style, using T2 as inspiration.

I think Twich is done. I will get a better avatar for her as soon as more are available.

I finally got Ceolor finished!

It's late here so I almost guaranteed made a mistake somewhere, so if someone wouldn't mind double checking things, I'd be grateful. I'll give it s second glance tomorrow as well.

Here is 0x320, an Android Soldier. The forums spit an error out if I left purely a hex value, probably some form of anti-hack attempt, so I had to list a "T" char in front.

Taeon is championing the Wayfarers. Do we need a boon to do that?

Yep you do, but the first champion boon is free. See pg. 21 of the Guild Guide, under section 10. Faction

At character creation, your character can join for one of five factions. Your character can champion multiple factions during the course of her career, but she must select a single faction to start with. You gain the champion boon (listed in Appendix 2: Factions) assocaited with that faction. Detailed descriptions of the factions, as well as benefits of membership, faction goals, and associated rewards appear in Appendix 2.
