Well, folks, got my tests done today. They gave me a bit of info on it before I left today. They've done some biopsies of my intestines, as well as an ulcer they found in the lower GI test.
The only thing they've found (as possible) is that there's like a 20% chance of Crohn's. They're gonna, of course, test everything they biopsied, and I'll be seeing them again on the 15th.
So, at least I'm on solid foods again! Yay!
Hey, there's hope! If they can name it, they might be able to help you find some successful avoidance therapies for things that set you off. I know a couple of people that are living with it and seem to be doing well now that they know what it is.
And if it's Crohn's, I heard about a study recently that has some real promise to alleviate symptoms for folks - that particular theory is about the balance of beneficial and not-so-beneficial bacteria in the stomach. The folks affected consistently had way more bad bacteria than good when compared to people that were not affected.

Biopsies scare me but I'm glad to hear that you might have some answers (and treatment) in the future.

The librarian said there had been a lot of people looking at those particular books recently... some of you saw Shalelu in chains through the portal... and Eviana (and others) have repeatedly talked about an "Armageddon Echo" that they think the drow are fleeing into when they disappear for days at a time and come back at nearly full strength.

The Armageddon Echo is obviously some kind of pocket plane (this place likely) but I'm not sure how Shalelu is involved.

Well this could be the place the drow go, but why haven't they showed up yet? And that book could have been some sort of beacon for them to come back or go back to "our" time.

The portal we found looked like the gate at the Goblin, that we found, so I suspect they are related.
The locked book that you found is not on the shelves of the library. Has anyone tried to figure out what it is or what it does (i.e. rolled Spellcraft)?

I realize it's not like we've been here all day, but even an hour, seems to me, they might figure out we are here.
I don't think anyone tried to analyze the book, we were in battles mostly and to be honest, I sorta forgot I'd picked it up.
I guess since we are relatively safe, I could examine the marked passages more and try to glean the info out of them.

Basically you can keep examining the books in hopes of getting more information about where you are, or you can go exploring. Someone with UMD might be able to activate the portal early if you really want to go back.

It makes sense that this "repeat" of the original Earthfall would be called "Armageddon Echo". I'd been thinking that this "Echo" was a new weapon, but this seems a likely candidate for that name.
I don't recall if we knew what Shalelu was going to be doing. That might give us an idea of where she is. Since we saw her in the portal, it's reasonable to think she's present in the "Echo". Any ideas where the drow might hide in the "Echo" from the 'ghosts' like the librarian that continue to reside here? Do the drow look like drow here? Or maybe they alter their appearance so as not to frighten the librarian?
They were technically elves that decided not to leave before Earthfall, perhaps they just look like elves here?
So, more updates! Saw the lung specialist and I have adult onset asthma. He also did an X-ray and showed me that my pain is heightened (but not caused) by my spine being completely straight from tailbone to about my shoulder blades and then it drastically curves forward. AND since he's part of the same medical group as my GI specialist and my regular doc, he told me that there's inflammation in the biopsies.
So....it sounds like its a real good chance of Crohns. So asthma and I should know 100% about the Crohns on the 15th.
Well it's not the greatest news, but at least there is some idea of what is wrong and meds will help.
