.Suny. |

From Suny's perspective;
Hopefully the stores brought in the ships have been helping things along as well.
In regards to the tree stumps. Hopefully with the Cyclopse's help even they can be pulled up/removed and put to use either as additional building material or stored as potential fuel.
As for finishing? Harbor first. Then working on the fort would be Suny's suggestion.
Very much cheers and best wishes to every one.
(^_^)

Noro the iron maiden |

Noro surveys the area and the accomplished work.
takeing a moment to gather the crew together, Attention everyone! I wanted to let ya all know that you have all done great work. this little island will soon prove to be a safe and secure harbor for all of our future endeavors both for us and our allies. and as a reward for all of your hard work an extra share of treasure for all when we complete the construction and following the review of the other Pirate Lords. but for now, extra rum for all
Noro looks to Sunny, whispering, we do have enough rum, don't we?
diplomacy: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
she was pretty sure that everything sounded right, but she soon found out that it may not have gone over as she thought it did.
Lets get to work on that pier!

.Suny. |

During the Captain's speech, Suny is bright and happy. Gleefuly bouncing from one worker to another to offer congratulatory hugs and such.
Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27(Aid another)
Noro looks to Sunny, whispering, we do have enough rum, don't we?
At the captain's whispered words as she scampers by Suny blinks, nods to the Captain, but quickly skips off to ensure that, indeed, there's currently enough Rum to allow for the Captain's orders.
Aye, indeed, there should be more than enough such victuals since we have always been planing on holding such a huge feast to host the Pirate Lords.
Though, there might needs be maybe just one more act of pirating, perhaps, to bolster the party's stores before the grand high and to do is initiated.
(^_^)

MichaelCullen |

You have plenty of rum, between what you brought and what you have found. Noro's speach could have gone better Could have been worse, but with the promise of treasure and rum, no one seems the least bit unhappy. There is a noticeable amount of cheer in the camp as the crew is generally pretty pleased with the amount of work that has gotten done. Successful ventures make for a happy crew.
With the hall basically finish, the crew sets the majority of their efforts on the piers.
Productivity: 1d100 ⇒ 91 Uh wow
With favorable weather and high crew morale, the pier work gets completed well ahead of schedule. With the piers and dredging done, the crew moves on to finishing the Fort. The end of the week brings them near to completion.
Living Quarters: Complete
Feast Hall: Effectively Complete
Harbor Improvemnts: complete
Fort: 89% complete, walls are up, towers are done, buildings inside Have walls and roofs but still need finishing.
So, two weeks left. A little work left on the fort and some time need to make last minute preparations like cooking, but it seems you will be fine with your planned improvements. Is there anything else you would like built of your crew has the time?

Noro the iron maiden |

As the fort nears completion, Noro survey's the other officers (meaning the PC's)
I think a few lookout towers on any high ground. also we need to discuss the giants, what do we do about them?

Dimitrious Black |

I think a few lookout towers on any high ground. also we need to discuss the giants, what do we do about them?
Lookout towers are a great idea but what else could we build that would really blow their mind...I wonder if we could borrow some architectural ideas from the cyclopes

.Suny. |

As the fort nears completion, Noro survey's the other officers (meaning the PC's)
I think a few lookout towers on any high ground. also we need to discuss the giants, what do we do about them?
Suny stands, arm around one of 'her' crew while she listens to Captain Noro. When she has a chance/offering to speak she pipes up brightly.
Oh! We can be makin' a rock thrower!" (^_^)
Then, seeing the looks of not understanding on peoples faces she frowns, scratching at her blond mop.
"I dun't know tha' people's name fer it. Y'see, when tha' sea peoples come visitin' we has game wiff 'em, like." Suny points to any possible nearby Cyclopes.
"Tha' Sea Peoples be big. Bigger than tha' Cycle-lopes an' we's learn't that they is rilly gooder at playin' wiff rocks. So, tha' Elders? First, they make a place where they expect tha' Sea Peoples ta' be tossin' they's rocks. Wiff prizes an' stuff fer rilly good aimers at said place. But, ta' add some challenge ta' them's rock throwin', first tha' Elders build these rilly big rock throwin' things fer tha' Sea People's ta' be catchin they's rocks whut they's gon'a be throwin first, y'see?" Suny explains.
"Well! I were thinkin'. We build one'a them rock throwers ta' throw some rilly big rocks out in't harbour, like. Myabe wiff somat ta' be aimin' tha rock thrower at?" Suny suggests.
Note* Yes, Suny is suggesting building a Trebuchete. A good Trebuchete will give a cannon a good run for its money and would be an item of interest to any Pirates that might think of sailing into our new harbor. (^_^)
Suny blinks and looks to captain Noro. "Um... Whut d'ye mean 'Wiff' tha' Cycle-lopes?" Suny glances to where some of the larger folk might be congregating after helping with construction and such.
"I were thinkin' of maybe offerin' one a spot on me ship... Ta' help throw rocks at other ships whut in't like-able, like?' Suny explains her point of view.

MichaelCullen |

The second to last week, productivity: 1d100 ⇒ 83 pretty darn good goes very well, it seems this project has been blessed by fate.
The week brings the finishing touches to the fort and three basic watchtowers are emplaned on the nearby hills.
Suny gets the materials together for a rock thrower, but none of the crew is familiar with what she is asking for.
knowledge engineering Suny: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Despite the crew's lack of expertise in the matter, Suny's background in engineering proves quite useful and she is able to instruct the crew in its completion.
Testing the trebuchet goes well and it lands rocks pretty consistently anywhere in the Harbor. Shabe, who had been helping Suny, suggests that they call it the "Cyclopes' arm".
One week to go, time to make last minute preps such as food, anything special you are doing?

.Suny. |

(^_^)
We've tha' hall. Some accommodation. We's lookin' good for food an such. Um... organizin' tha' night's entertainment? Can't be all Captain Noro speakin' ta' peoples.
So... unless we can make a quick run back ta' civilization ta' pick up any last minute thing we might think of... every can just tinker with things as they are an actually enjoy tha' island an' it's bounty.

Dimitrious Black |

Yeah it's time to gather up meat, I figure they are sick of seafood and want a big juicy steak

Noro the iron maiden |

Noro looks to Dim, mmmmm steak
she grabs a spear, who's up for some hunting?

MichaelCullen |

The party members head out for a bit of a safari hunt. They remember seeing some large game near the flat lands in the center of the island.
Suny Survivial: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Noro Survivial: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Dim Survivial: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
About 2 hours into the group's hunt, Suny notices some spoor. Following the trail, she leads the group to resting pack of velociraptors. Through Dimitrious's spells and Noro's wrestling, two raptors are taken. Enough for raptor steak for the feast.
Upon returning with their take, final productivity: 1d100 ⇒ 75, 'Fishguts" Kroop remebers a meal he once prepared, smacking his lips, This meat is like quail meat, but more lean. I know a great jerk recipe that might make this amazing.
Any one or two more things or should we proceed to the arrival?

Dimitrious Black |

Well we got food and booze, everything a growing pirate needs

Noro the iron maiden |

proceed with the arrival I guess

.Suny. |

Suny will spend the week 'Careening' her vessel, spending quality time with crew and workers. Spending fun time with the Nymph. (^_^)

MichaelCullen |

When the appointed day arrives, masts begin to appear on the horizon. Slowly, three or four, then seven or eight ships begin closing the distance to the port you have rebuilt. By mid-day no less than two dozen ships have arrived. Though you do not recognize most of the ships, you do recognize the last two. The sloop, Luck of the Draw, and the xebec, Kraken, captained by Tessa Fairwind and the Master of Gales respectively.
While most captain's are content to be rowed ashore in ship's boats, the Master of Gales decides to make a grander entrance. Transforming into a huge air elemental, he makes his way across the natural bay, his form sucks up water creating a water spout. When he hits the shoreline his form recorporealizes, into his human body.
His passing whipped up the lines and sails of the anchored ships in the bay and his arrival drenches those nearby.
How do you greet your guests?

.Suny. |

Suny would suggest anchoring both the partie's vessels 'Out' on either side of the entrance to the bay they've chosen. As places where lights/flags can be placed for navigating. As bastions to defend the cove (From without as well as within) (^_~).
Other then a short crew manning the sentinels, every one arrayed on shore to greet/help guests alight and be directed/funneled towards the great hall. Not counting people who have already started to establish 'uisness' on the island. They can have simple canvas and wood stalls put up to offer stuff for shinys :D
Suny will be her happy, normal, natural self on the beach besides Captain Noro and crew. (^_^)
Flowers placed in guests hair? Offering half coconut shells of drink?
Suny will be more'n happy to greet Tessa Fairwind. Pretty sure that's right...

Dimitrious Black |

There are no words that can convey our awe and respect for you pirate lords, We would however like to take this opportunity to tell you all that it is our honor and privilege to welcome you here

.Suny. |

(^_^)

Noro the iron maiden |

Noro allows the more charismatic of her crew greet the other pirate lords. while she keeps a lookout for trouble.
Eventually, once all have arrived, Noro hands out the rum from her stash (stolen from Harrigan) welcome all to our little abode. please take care to not upset the ettins, good help can be so hard to find these days. expressing to the rest that "yes, we have taken control of an ettin tribe"

MichaelCullen |

Suny aranged for a working party of greeters to help the Captains come ashore. Shabe takes charge of six crew members who wade out into the water and help pull the small boats ashore. While not too many businesses have been established, the carpenters do show off their wares. Their coin bags do look a lot fuller as a few of the captain's have taken the opportunity to resupply on equipment for their ships. Block and tackle seemed to sell out fast.
The rest of the crew not on some sort of security detail provides the arriving pirates with ale, rum, and flowers to their taste.
The Pirates seem impressed with both the quality of the Rum Noro provides as well as the ability to tame something as rebellious as ettins. Tessa seems especially pleased with your progress. She did after all sponsor you and thinks of you as friends and potential allies on the council.
The Master of Gales speaks to Dimitrious in a voice with the strength of a storm, I approve of your sentiment, but it will take more then just words to sway us. We will see how much of an honor you think our presence is by how you have handled this island.
The pirate lords begin to assemble around you, some are calm, some seem excited, but all are paying close attention to you and each other.
One of the private lords, Avimar Sorrinash wastes no time in getting down to business. In a brusque tone. Why don't you give us a tour of you fortifications. It's best to do that before you numb our senses with drink.

.Suny. |

Avimar Sorrinash wastes no time in getting down to business. In a brusque tone. Why don't you give us a tour of you fortifications. It's best to do that before you numb our senses with drink.
At the Pirate leader's question Suny bounces to attention before moving to a place wherre she can be seen by a certain group. With a short hand signal she waits.
Not sure what the new comers perception checks are to hear the creaking of timber and rope.
Then, after but a few moments there comes hiss of a large object launching up, out of the trees to arc gracefuly over the bay before langin in a huge splash fo water out in the bay between the parties own anchored sentinel ships.
With a mishceivious grin Suny raises her arm again and gives another signal. Thence, comes swiftly striding from the tree line, a veritable titan. Standing easily twice the height of the tallest man gathered on the beach the great humanoid swaggeres towards those gathered, a large rock seeming the size of a man's torso gripped easily in one mighty fist.
The Cyclops lass Suny has been taking pains to make freinds of approaches.
With a flourish Suny bows to the captain's assembled. "Lords an' Ladies! Might I present but a small part of our island defence force!" The tanned Elf declaires with a loud voice and flourish.
Diplmacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Bluff:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
The Cyclops comes to stand besides the lean tanned Elf lass, casually dropping the rock into the sands with a muffled 'thump' and smilles a toothy smile to the new commers herself.
Intimidate:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 (Player is guessing for just how 'freindly' a large sized, carnivorous huminoid might be towards people she is potentially going to allowed to eat. ^_^ )

MichaelCullen |

Avimar smiles with a toothy grin, She can throw pretty far, but how accurate is she?
Tessa turns to Avimar, Since you are a bit incredulous, let's have a small wager. I bet that she can hit the tow boat you came ashore in on the first throw, while your men are pulling it back to your ship as fast as they can.
Avimar smiles a little more, I'll place 800 gold that she can't.
Tessa accepts the wager and the rest of the pirate lords eagerly get in on the action, betting large sums of money. Avimar pulls a jeweled macaw statuette from his great coat and whispers something to it. Within an instant the statuette comes to life and flies toward his ship anchored in the bay. Another small boat is lowered and crew members row to shore with a large rope dangleing behind them. They attach the rope to Avimar's small boat and then row back to his ship.
Avimar lifts his tricorn hat and waves it to his crew, with a lurch the rope comes taught as the begin pulling his small boat back to the ship.
The cyclops lass whom Sunny had befriended, Brusilla, lifts the large stone and weighs it in her hand. He eye glosses over for a second Flash of Insight and she over hand throws the large rock right into the unoccupied small boat.
A mix of cheers and grumbles can be heard from the assembled lords.
The Master of Gales, who had not participated in the wager, booms with his loud voice, It would not be a proper gathering if at least one small boat was not sunk, come, I am hungry and I hear a feast awaits.
Describe what you do for the feast and how you want it to proceed.

.Suny. |

Suny of course completly supports her Cyclops freind, putting in 500 Gp on the lass' side to boot. (^_^)
When the target disappears in a fountain of spray Suny cheers, caps and hugs Brusilla's leg enthusiastically. Presenting the victorious lass with Suny's own winnings of the bet as a show of such appreciation of effort and skill. (^_^)
As the talk of the feast that been prepared is raised Suny defers to those who've been doing all the planning and hard work while her own large blue eyes look over the guests as they amble towards the great hall and the food, drink and light entertainment awaiting theirin.
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
But other wise moving to get Brusilla a 'special' place beside the hall where she can partake in the festivities, such acting as a further reward for her helping out and performance. (^_^)
Once her large crew-mate is settled Suny will move into the hall itself, help with seating, settling, even pitching in with getting folks drinks and such. Using said actions to get closer to Tessa Fairwind and begin frinedly conversation with said Captain.
Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Yeah, happy to let others with a better grasp of the culinary skills describe stuff. (^_^)
Bleh tha' dice roller!

Dimitrious Black |

It would not be a proper gathering if at least one small boat was not sunk, come, I am hungry and I hear a feast awaits.
Please come in and sit down and make yourself at home. It’s my hope that all who partake here will taste and see that all is good and will leave with appetites whetted to know how much we appreciate your trust in us
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27

Noro the iron maiden |

sorry all been swamped at work lately
Noro watched with amusement as the wager went on. not offering her own coin but encouraging her crew to partake.
wouldn't seem right to have a wager after the result is known
when the wager is won, Noro gives a smile of satisfaction.
As the group moves to the feast hall, Tessa, I have you sitting here, beside me at the head table showing her benefactor to her seat.
she grabs a bottle of rum along the way to the seat and pours a couple of mugs.

MichaelCullen |

While perhaps not a feast meant for a king, the meal is quite spectacular. Fish-Guts Kroop has truly outdone himself. The jerk rub on the raptor steaks has enough spice to make mouths water. The heat is easily drowned out or numbed by the plentiful rum. The guests are a sight to behold as well.
One of the pirate lords, a particularly well dress lady
A hush falls across the hall as most of the pirates choose to give you a few moments to stoke their interests.

.Suny. |

Suny continues to scamper about. Helping folks 'Wait' tables and being her naturally, free willed self.
Profession 'Captain':1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
When the Lady Captain speaks up and gathrs every one's attention about telling of tales Suny sidles up, offering to re-fill said lady's cup and perchance engage in being 'freindly' like herself.
Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Yah, as fer tha' speakin' of tales an' such? I be happy fer peoples whut can be speakin' betterer than m'selfs ta' be doin' all'a that stuff. (^_^)
Hopin' every one is okeys an' doin' all rightys. (^_^)

Really awesome recap of our island adventure...
Diplo: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24

.Suny. |

*Applauds Dimitrious' awesome tale telling* (^_^)

MichaelCullen |

The pirate lords listen to your tale about the cyclopse, the crystal, constructing a fort and the other denizens of the island. The story seems to go over decently. No one is underwhelmed, but as the tale goes on some pirates begin to go back to their drinking and eating. As your story wraps up Lady Bloodmourn steps forward. You can tell a good tale, but are you skilled at arms? Shall we have a demonstration? with that she flourishes her rapier and points it one by one at each of you. Let us have a quick fight, to submission.

.Suny. |

Suny looks around inquisitivly to see/gauge the crowd's reactions...
Perception:1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Sense Motive:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

MichaelCullen |

The crowd has looks of some excitement on their faces. Suny notices that most eyes seem to be on the group, though some look intently at Lady Bloodmourn. Suny has the feeling that most would like to be entertained, but whether any ulterior motives exist, it's hard for her to tell.

.Suny. |

Well.. Suny does have a sword of her own she could play against the lady with....
If no one else posts? Then, yeah, Suny will scamper off and get her sword so the pair of them can swing at each other. (^_^)

.Suny. |

Suny skips forwards with a wave. "Jus' wait a tick an' I be right back wiff somat..." She assures people before racing off, out of the pavilion/hall.
Yah, so some one want to sing a song while Suny runs off and gets her sword? (^_^)
How many rounds 'running' to her ship and back, like? :P

Noro the iron maiden |

hello everyone, I am back. I am sorry about the disappearance. things got a little crazy with work and some other issues I'd rather not say
Noro sat a bit watching her crew entertain.
She knew Sunny was a little excited with new things but had confidence in her skill.
As sunny headed off, Noro stood up.
Who needs swords. It wold not take long fer me to have ya pleadin fer mercy with my bare hands. like the sea troll I managed ta be beggin fer mercy.
looking to Lady Bloodmourn, Well, as my brother used ta say, wanna wrastle? she adds with a grin.

Dimitrious Black |

Dimitrious will settle in for what should be a short match

MichaelCullen |

Thinking on it for a second Lady Bloodmourn replies, I've heard of you, "The Iron Maiden" they call you. It wold not take long to have me pleadin fer mercy with your bare hands, ya say? That's a bold statement. We will make this hand to hand. She ceremoniously passes her rapier and dagger to her first mate before putting on a pair of sparing gloves. Treat as a cestus that does non lethal damage.
The pirate lords create a circle of sorts around the two of you and she quaffs a potion before bowing.
If you wish to do something like quaff a potion, you have a round before the fight starts, just let me know in your post for your first rounds' actions.
initiative Noro: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
initiative Lady Bloodmourn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Lady Bloodmourn begins combat by stepping forward feinting to the side, then throwing a right hook.
Greater feint: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
sparing gloves: 1d20 + 15 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 15 + 2 - 3 = 151d4 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + (6, 1, 3) = 11Sigh
Feint works, but the attack misses.
Noro is up.

Noro the iron maiden |

before combat...
Noro has no potions handy, she never really needed them before or perhaps she just always felt a little overconfident in her abilities.
in any event she has one thing that she used make use of in her younger days. pulling out a small piece of root, she pops it into her mouth.
she then hands her rum bottle to one of her crew, hold this, I'll be right back
barbarian chew to extend her rage by 1 round
round 1
Noro turns to face her opponent who attempted to take advantage of her prep time, but Noro was a bit to fast and avoids the punch.
careful, you might want to practice a little more before trying the fancy stuff.
Noro quickly attempts to lock her arm as Lady Bloodmourn missed her mark.
Free action enter rage
grapple attempt: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (20) + 27 = 47
raging grapple damage (non-lethal): 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
greater grapple grapple check: 1d20 + 27 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 27 + 5 = 45
maintain the grapple forcing Lady Bloodmourn to go prone and giving her the pinned condition.
you can yield now, if you wish as Noro tightens her grip a little more.

MichaelCullen |

Not bad Noro, you are a decent grappler. She says through gritted teeth. Suny arrives back just in time to see the pirate lord in Noro's chokehold.
As the crowd takes in the quick choke hold, a loud bang comes from the direction of the Harbor, as if a cannon had gone off. It is followed by the quieter sound of splashing water.
Running outside he pirate lords look to the harbor where one of the ships has a large plume of smoke coming from a hole in its deck. The explosion is quickly followed by two others. The lords look around with mixed looks. Some with fear, some with anger.

Dimitrious Black |

Dimitrious heads out to see what all the commotion is about. He will cast Fly and head up to get a better view

.Suny. |

Sunny simply drops her sword and begins calling out orders.
"Some one wake up Fishplock!" Meaning the marsh giant that should be around some where.
"Crews! Ta' oars!" She indicates pirates shold take up long boats and start rowing out to the ships.
"Spell users with water magic? To tha' front!"
Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
She looks to those who're mainly working on shore, "Gather ropes! Gather canvas, sails! Move 'em ta' shore!" She points to a place along the shore line where she wants these things gathers
Before sherself runing and diving back into the waves and heading for the biggest ship in the harbour.

MichaelCullen |

As Suny and Dimetrious make their way out to the harbor another explosion racks a nearby ship. You are close enough to possibly get hit by falling debris.
reflex Dimitrious: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
reflex Suny: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
But both of you manage to avoid the larger pieces, the smell of burnt explosives hangs in the air.
perception Dimitrious: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
perception Suny: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
As Suny moves closer an odd sight catches her eye. A void in the water, roughly the size of a man. What's more it seems to be moving away from the recently exploded ship.

.Suny. |

"Oh! Shiny!" Sunny chases the thing.
Innate swim skill... should not be too hard...

Noro the iron maiden |

yayy we are back.... time to decide what to do

Noro the iron maiden |

Noro releases the pirate lord after the first blast and immediately makes her way to the docks.
keeping back somewhat but close enough to get a decent view of the situation.
Damn! what the hell is goin on she mutters to herself
suddenly the second blast. ok this ain't no accident now. with Sunny seemingly to see something.
Sunny, follow whatever it is you see, but don't get into something you can't get out of.
Noro then makes her way further onto the docks and starts to direct her crew to help the survivors. turning to the other pirate lords, any you captains have access to water magic, do what ya can to quench these flames.
