Aside From picking my feat, and a trait, I'm ready to go!
Contemplating SF Handle Animal so it becomes a trivial check to direct my companion, but im kinda stuck in terms of the build and what to dooooo with myself.........

Variel; I'm totally down to hanging out with your character as a smith; but it's more likely that I'd go off with you in the wilderness to hunt rather than spend much time around the town.
I don't try to avoid the town itself, but I feel a bit uncomfortable around so many people for reasons that I made in the backstory.
I changed my stats a bit and decided to just go for a bit more optimized character as well.
I hope it's okay with everyone, especially given all my earlier comments on the subject, but I wanted to make sure he was helpful in a fight.
His skills stayed the same, but his backstory changed a bit, as well as his physical appearance (to reflect the stat adjustment).
That's all under his backstory though.
Instead of using a pic, I found a video online that coincides with the character concept, but it's present on the sheet.
That said, I'm pretty much ready to go and thank you all for your patience.
@Gabe: Why do you have three feats? I can see you having two with your bonus feat, but why the other one?
No worries, here's the breakdown:
Level 1: Point Blank Shot
Fighter Combat Feat: Precise Shot
Bonus Feat for being Human: Deadly Aim
FYI; what did you think of the rebuild or the clip? I'm curious to know how they played out...
The clip was interesting -- don't know much about that character (in the clip) and the mask was intriguing. But yes, his face wound gives a great visual (and a physical and emotional reaction) to what you were describing in your backstory. I think your new backstory is interesting too and gives a different flavour in/to the game (I have a feeling the healers, like Venja and Aneira, will feel a certain level of compassion and patience for Gabryjel).

Well, in the show the character was a vet from WWI. He was discharged because of the wound.
What’s funny is the show is only sub-par, but the minute I saw this guy I fell in love with his character; the actor gives him such a powerful presence it’s amazing, and the character has so few lines that I can’t understand how he can have such force and magnetism without saying anything or being able to talk very clearly.
In one of the parts of the video a little girl cries when she sees him sleeping (he’s the bodyguard for the girls mother, the family is being hunted by the mafia) later, to make her feel better, he comes to the girl and boy and their mother when they’re reading the Wizard of Oz; and he points to his mask and tells him that he’s really the “Tin Man”.
The thing is that with all his kindness to children and sensitivity, he’s literally the most ruthless killer in a show which features Al Capone, Frank Nitti, “Lucky” Luciano and others.
But to clarify; he is a ranged fighter ;)

Finally, this is a clip of him talking to his best friend – he is not sure if his friend still cares for him, and is worried that he’s losing his friend.
Watching his face in the shot, as well as hearing his voice – it’s just really cool how he does it as an actor.

Imm, would Variel been able to craft his weapons himself? If so would he have been able to do a normal and cold iron rapier?

It's Saturday here tomorrow and with it comes the two day wedding celebrations. I may be able to post one or two more entries and then I won't be on the boards again until my Monday (your Sunday evening).
Will send it to you tonight after work. Also, I rearranged equipment by getting rid of the short bow and adding a silver rapier. That way I have all but adamantine covered. Thanks again for letting me craft them Imm. I will get on the gameplay thread later.
A few quick comments -
1. So in the next few postings I'll probably start mellowing out on the somewhat repetitive descriptions on how I keep turning away from people's looks and the self-loathing and so on.
Right now that's just me trying to set up the character concept. Once everyone's comfortable with how I act, I'll likely end up just eliminating the long re-cap of how I keep noticing my scar and I keep turning away and so on so as not to fill up the pages with redundancy.
The only time that will change is if we meet a new NPC socially, and my reaction may vary somewhat, in which case I'll post those descriptions then. Meanwhile, I figure at this point everyone can probably just assume that - unless stated otherwise - I'll be looking away, ashamed of the scar; talking in a blunt manner because I don't want people to pay so much attention to me - and so on; without having to write a 3 page post on the matter each time.
I know that's a bit lazy of me not to have all the descriptions in; but I'm hoping everyone is cool with me trying to use shorter posts with less redundancy? :)
2. In the pirate game I found it was pretty helpful to have things like the date/time/location because tracking the date and time is important when we were on the ship and replenishing plunder was something we had to keep track of.
Also, if you're a human, moon cycles are very important because you don't have night vision and stuff, and knowing if it's a full moon or dark matters.
While I intend to keep track of those things on my own, I'll still toss up a quick posting on the current day, as well as my general location and time that I'm speaking so that people know where I am if we end up splitting up to do some social RP.
3. Speaking of social RP - GM - there's been a flurry of great social RP on the main board; but I'm wondering if you could make another social RP thread so the main board doesn't get too cluttered?
Also, if it's possible, could you put links to the map and image you made for the town on the campaign page so we can reference them quickly? That would help a lot :)
4. A side note - while the GM asked for "Full Disclosure" via our sheet, I typically don't post up alignment. This isn't me trying to be obnoxious, it's only because I generally have issues with how alignment is played (I see it one way, another person sees it a different way); but the point is, I know how I want to play my alignment, but I don't know how others (including NPC's and the gods) would interpret that alignment.
Am I really being Lawful Neutral in this case? I hope so; that's the alignment I'm trying to play. But if my actions or deeds have shifted my alignment somehow, without me knowing; my alignment would change and I simply wouldn't know about it - the gods and NPC's would; but it would be a big surprise to me if a god told me "Yeah, sorry, you're actually more Evil" - I don't think I'm evil; I'm not trying to play evil; but they may say I'm evil anyway.
So that's why I try to keep the alignment thing blank. A spell that buffs lawful characters may not buff me, no matter what alignment I'm trying to play, if my actions are continually chaotic, for example.
Anyway, that's pretty much it. Now I really have to get going because I'm running late.

I hadn't been reading the boards very carefully and I didn't understand your OOC post until this morning when I went back and re-read everything again.
I honestly didn't know what you meant; I wasn't trying to blow you off, I just wasn't paying attention to the boards much.
Also - Variel - sorry, too about not having more of my notes in order for your game via Backstory. I'm running into the same issue.
The medicine they gave me to help my ankle is very potent anti-inflamatory thing. When I'm awake I feel somewhat out of it and a bit groggy and a little sick and it is also giving me a bit of a headache if I'm awake for a while.
I haven't taken my meds this morning and slept pretty much all last night so I'm doing a bit better (except for my ankle, oh well).
Anyhow, I'm hoping to be in the game mentally soon.
