My program does the calculation for me and two just barely avoided it, with your selection of center. They were certainly adjacent to affected squares, but they barely avoided it. Please check the battle mat I just posted.

Sergeant Sura has her blade drawn and says to Raztor and Maliki, "On the floor, both of you and not a sound more! Wait until Ulverth deals with both of you!
"Once Maliki came around, he was very helpful. It sounds an awful lot like he was 'just taking orders', but like Bofus said we will sort out matters here to see what we can uncover."
"Sir Longbrow, Mr. Beechnut, and Mr. Teskerwill, I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for the city of Brindol! There appears to be evil at every turn, yet you appear to be able to handle it at every moment!"
When the other two Brindol Lions appear, they bind Raztor and Maliki with manacles as well as the other rogues and then proceed to escort them all out of the den and across town to the prison.

DMHW: I think you mean Hatter 6 to -K-7? Nevermind, I was looking at the old map...
Buuagh! Oi didn't know we were dealin' with the circus!Thordak exclaims, running out to intercept one of the mad hatters. Double move to -M4

Tirion Jörðhár |

Round 1
I thought the 20' radius would have gotten all 6 of them.
Message: Thordak, looks like one is running your way. Florence, can you get the one in the back?
Move to A/-14. Use Wand of Magic Missiles against running rogue Hatter 6(if I cannot hit Hatter 6, I target one that is free of the web):
Damage:3d4+3
Using the above, but have me move to -D/-13 now that I can see the map better. I am trying to get the guy at -X/7.

.Sorry I did not notice this before, was not looking at your rolls.

Sergeant, it is our pleasure to help the goodly folk of this fine town! And may I say, the good Captain is lucky to have such trustworthy and effective soldiers as yourself.
I make sure the Lions have *all* the rogues we captured. Have a care, Sergeant--this one is a spellcaster. I would strongly suggest keeping him gagged and bound; you never know what devilish tricks he might have prepared!
Once they are gone, I'll make sure I get to Navrak's room (I never found out--did the Oil of Hold Portal work as I was hoping it had?? If it's still locked, we can wait until it's worn off), and the remaining 5 chests the rogues had in their room. (I'd already disabled all the traps on these, just have to unlock them.)
I'll also make a search of any room we haven't had a chance to look at thoroughly yet. I'll take 20 on them, for a total of 30.

Matthais Teskerwill |

As the Sergeant prepares to take the prisoners away:
Be careful with them, especially the magician, we got him before he cast anything, so he likely has his whole repertoire of spells left. Personally, I would keep him unconscious, but bound and gagged is a good second. Also, we do not yet know who else is involved with the guild, so I would watch carefully for anyone staring or following you.
.
Good luck, and let me know if there is any other way that we can help you.

Once the thieves and the guards are gone, I will begin to cast Detect Magic and scan each of the rooms. Starting in the unsearched bedroom and moving backwards to the rogues bedroom. I will keep recasting this as necessary and will take 10 or 20 on anything magical that I see.

DM Harpwizard |

Tirion, even though my memory is decent, it is not as good as yours. In the future, please include the Saving Throw and its DC when you cast spells, otherwise I will make the number up instead of looking it up. Furthermore, I usually err in the favor of the monsters. :-)
@Bofus, Matthias, and Mantooth
Treasure update will need to be given when I get home.
"Sergeant, it is our pleasure to help the goodly folk of this fine town! And may I say, the good Captain is lucky to have such trustworthy and effective soldiers as yourself."
"Your words are kind, Master Beechnut, but when the Captain finds out that there were traitors among the Lions . . . Well, let's just say that he considers the Lions to be beyond reproach. This stain upon their reputation will drive the good Captain into an absolute rage! I certainly wish I was not the one to have to inform him."

Why did Thordak move 1 space past the thug? Not sure where he wanted to move, but I would have thought that he would have moved so that he would get and AoO on the thief at -M/0 when the thief moved again.
Whisper - Florence, can you get that guy? Thordak, take a hit at yours and see if you can remove his hat - and his head if necessary.

You will pay for your crimes whether I'm dead or not!" As you hear him speak, you know he is certainly not Narvak Kruel.
• Florence - With the effects of the allegro you are able to double move with great speed next to a man wearing a top (Hatter #9) who is running towards the crowded Brindol market.

DM Harpwizard |

@Tirion
You move to the man in overalls who is nearly out of your sticky web and demand that you "Show your face and I will not fry you like you clone. "
The Hatter (#10) (located at -G/-8) looks up at you fearfully and replies. "I'll do whatever you ask, just don't kill me!" As you are close enough to identify him, you realize that he is clearly not Narvak Kruel.
@Florence
You quickly overtake the man in blue overalls in a top hat stop him at sword point. The man who is obviously not Narvak Kruel glares back at you and says "What do you mean by pointing that blade at me, Missy? Do you have a problem that we need to sort out?"
@Matthais
As you are able to get into Narvek's room, Matthais casts detect magic looking into the arcane spectrum. However, he is unable to see anything radiating a magical aura.
When the hold portal wears off, you are able to get into Narvak's room. However, Matthais is close behind you. If you want to take the valuables off of the table you will need a SoH check to avoid being observed taking the items. I will roll a secret Perception Check for Matthais and compare it to your results, if this is what you want to do.

DM Harpwizard |

"Which one of you clones was Kruel? Or is he still inside?"
"I don't know what you are talking about, but if anyone was cruel, I would say it was you! I was simply given five gold pieces to put on this crazy outfit and walk out into the town. I thought we were having a little humor and playing a prank on somebody. I did not think I was going to get killed for it!"

DM Harpwizard |

@Florence
"I just wanted to tell you that you have a real nice taste when it comes to hats, chapeau!"[/b]
"Well, thank you! If you want it, I will give it to you for 8 silver pieces."
In the busy market, you are unable to see any other people dressed in overalls and top hats.

DM Harpwizard |

@Florence.
Please note that you are only talking with the one guy at the moment. The other three are just escaping from Tirion's Web about 200 feet down the road to the southwest. Two have gone missing. Do you wish to return to the other three and ask that question or just the one you are with right now? If just the one, this is his reply.
"Five gold for the one who can tell me where the other top hat guy is?!"
"I don' know where the others went. They just told us to all spread out in different directions from the Craven Raven. However, for five gold, I will help you look for the others."

DM Harpwizard |

@Florence
That makes perfect sense now!
"Five gold for the one who can tell me where the other top hat guy is?!"
At your offer of money, a gruff looking dwarf quickly puts out his hand and eagerly reply. "Oi know where he is, mam."
Another small kid interrupts him and says, "Don't listen to him, Missus. I just saw him!"

DM Harpwizard |

@Florence
Awarding both of them some gold makes them very willing to help and give you their opinion. However, you are not clear which choice seems more reliable.
The Dwarf replies, "I just saw him cutting through the market going east along the Dawn Way in the direction of the House of the Healing Dawnflower."
The kid replies, "No way, mister! I saw the fella run through the crowd on his way toward the bridges making his way out of town."

DM Harpwizard |

@Florence
As you race across the market to the bridges you barely spot a man wearing a blue shirt, overalls and a top hat entering the gatehouse on the western of the two northbound bridges. As you race across the bridge the hatter has already entered the gatehouse and is likely passing through the northern gate past the guards.

@Bofus, Matthias, and Mantooth
When the hold portal spell wears off, the three of you are able to safely enter Narvak Kruel's room. This chamber is a comfortable living quarters with a double sized bed, a comfortable couch, a few tables, a bookcase, and two chests.

Tirion Jörðhár |

Thordak, I think that Florence took off toward the gate. Lets follow her in case she needs any help.
I also dismiss the web.
To the Hatters: My advice in the future is that when a suspicious character in a tavern of questionable repute offers you 5 gp to wear strange outfits, you say no.
I start heading toward the gate.

DM Harpwizard |

"He he he. . . You know he fancies you, don't you? Well since you decided to play hard to get, Narvek decided that he is also going to be hard to get. You will not be able to find him, Lass. I also don't think he is quite willing to trust you yet. So if you have a message you would like to give him, I would be only too happy to pass it along, but I think it's time you stop the hunt and let him go. He really likes you, but he also loves his freedom, maybe even a little too much."
