PART 3. . .
Having bested the Aspis Consortium and recovered a powerful weapon, the PCs return to the Bandu Hills to delve into its ruins, confront the ancient guardian within, and find their missing venture-captain. Even greater secrets lie below, and the Pathfinders soon find that there is more to the so-called Golden Guardian than legends suggest. Are you resourceful enough to survive the mounting danger and find Nieford Sharrowsmith?

Peribras scratches his head as Thoril takes off up the right flank. "Huh, okay. I guess I'll go down the middle then." He takes another step to the south, sticks another bullet in his sling staff, and quickly winds it up to send the bullet hurtling towards a kobold.

Peribras zips forward, launchinges small bullet across the temple and catching an unsuspecting Kobold in the face, dropping him in a pile of cold, black blood. The prisoners, also just as surprised as their captors, give out a scream and begin to push away to cower at the rear wall. Thoril draws his wand and begins waving it around, but nothing happens (yet), while does likewise, sending a small green magical blast at another Kobold, sending it to the ground as well.

Drawing his Pathfinder Glyph of the Open Road flag, Shar-Lyn ignores danger and simply walks into the middle of the room. Tholand takes a step closer and arms himself, while C.A. jumps into the shadows, trying to get around to a better position. Finally, Nemesis launches her own projectile into the room, aiming for one of the two remaining enemies, but it strikes the wall just behind it.

Peribras, still having the advantage, slides over a little more and sends another bullet into the room, killing another Kobold, while Thoril finishes his spell, growing large and then moves up to the wall. From the staircase descending behind the alter, you suddenly hear a lot of clamoring, many, many clawed feet chit, chit, chitting on stone, and various calls to battle in the draconic tongue.

Van Potter's wand drops the last of them with a magical explosion, and for a moment the room goes silent. Seeing that they are rescued, the minors begin kicking the Kobolds that are still alive, but bleeding out, finishing them and getting a nice bit of vengeance while they are at it. All in all not too shabby a job for rookie Pathfinders. Much of the scampering and banging sounds from inside the pit stop, and the minors thank you for your timely arrival, saying they would have been killed, their bodies tossed into the pit in some sort of primitive ritual.

As the fervor of battle recedes, you are once again hit by the heat and humidity of the land.

Everyone, please double check all your info for Chronicle sheets, and double check for any purchases you have made.

JUST KIDDING. . .

Suddenly, as you begin to enter the temple itself to look for loot and check on your missing Venture-Captain, a lot more armed and ready Kobolds burst from the pit. One charges at Thoril but is cut down before it reaches him. Each hurls a bullet from a sling before grabbing their small spears and spreading out to attack. One of them, (#7), appears a slightly different than the other Kobolds. He is holding an empty potion bottle in one hand that he tosses aside to break on the ground before glaring at you. Rather than a sling, he wields a crossbow, and has a rapier at his side.

Van moves behind Thoril and casts Grease on the remaining two kobolds, augmented by his arcane reservoir.

DC 15 Reflex save or kobolds 6 and 7 go prone. This DC is higher due to the expenditure of 1 arcane reservoir point. I've placed a square on the map to indicate the position of the grease.

Shar-Lyn's heart pumps with pride as he see's his companions fight their way through the Kobold 'horde'.

The blast of flames brings a grunt and a grimace from him. My father blazed with fires brighter than you can ever imagine, you'll have to do more than that to stop me!

made save and fire resist 5, means 2-3 damage (do we round up or down?)

His pleasure is short lived however as he see's Nemesis burning. In an instant the tenor of his song changes and Nemesis feels a surge of hope. Incanto escapus

saving finale, re-roll that save nemesis (in another game someone just helped me, hope i can return the favour!)

Will hold actual action to see if Nemesis is ok or needs healing...

wow! epic rolling!

Shar-Lyn hears and almost feels Nemesis' scream as she is engulfed in the Kobolds flames. Nemesis! Hold on...

He sprints across the room, with a deft flick of his wrist his healing wand is in hand and he knells beside the fiery priestess.

Come back, don't let go into the flames just yet...

more epic rolling ;-) but at least it gets you back on your feet...

@ SHar-Lyn: You always Round Down, so it would be 15/2 = 7, then 7-5 = 2. :)

Just after sending her own flame, the Kobold's leader lets out a howl, sending three gouts of his own flame towards those closest to him, and causing Nemesis to fall to her knees. Peribras sends another stone flying, catching the last of the Kobold minions between the eyes and killing it.

Thoril moves in for the last kill, but finds it much more difficult than he expected and only manages to hit air. Van Potter calls on true magic, filling the area around the last Kobold with sticky and slippery grease, but the nimble little bastard doesn't seem too concerned with it.

Concerned over Nemesis's life energies seeping out, Shar-Lyn moves over to his fallen ally drawing a hidden wand and healing her. Remember, you are going to need to either drop your longsword or your banner. Which one?

Tholand circles around to also flank the Kobold leader, sending a back-hand his way, but also fails to connect.
