As Newhaven rises, threats besiege it from all directions. To the north, the news of the last heir of House Rogarvia threatens the start of a new war. To the south, an empire of trolls and monsters grows.
Taisper can get to the entrance with a double-move from the North Hall. Verik would have to double-move from South Hall to North Hall, then double-move from North Hall to entrance. You can effect adjacent areas with short-range spells and all visible areas with medium- and long-range spells.
I am telling you, I put 1d6 in there at least once. Maybe it's my phone.

Oh I thought you said increased movement allowed a double-move through two spaces there (Verik has 40' movement with light or no armor due to his Domain).
EDIT: All right well if short-range spells (which translate well enough to AE 40' and 50' radius spells) affect adjacent areas, it probably doesn't matter too much in this case. Either way a double-move is required to get to one (or two) areas.
heh, I got the mental image of a transformer transforming after reading Taipers action summary. *click* *wirrr* *click* *click*

I'm still trying to get over Nikolai growing claws and attacking the dragon. I'm pretending Verik hasn't seen clawed Nikolai yet.
You know DMB it's great that you're incorporating in such things as Nikolai having 'Favored Enemy: Dragons' and Zander having the frost bow and all, but you really don't have to put yourself out there like that for us. I mean if you had planned this battle in your head with badgers initially, we could have gone with badgers. ;)

Berrin Myrdal wrote: heh, I got the mental image of a transformer transforming after reading Taipers action summary. *click* *wirrr* *click* *click* LOL it's true! I feel like a transformer. I'm okay in combat, but only after like three rounds of buffing. :-(

Yes! Badgers! I vote for big, fierce, badgers! Dragons are so cliche!
(and, ahem, Deadly)
Badgers are all feral. You'd be doomed against badgers.

Meh. Maybe if they Flew and Breathed Fire.
Hahaha Actually just got a great visual from that! ^-^
That post was supposed to refer to obsidian claws forcing their way out of fingers and more. This is twitterpating. I'll just have to double-check posts more carefully since so much is getting screwed up. Maybe dial down the sensitivity on my touch screen.

For some reason I thought that some of the bad guys were humans, but apparently not. Man I am totally hosed in this fight. Yeesh.

What, you mean totally hosed as in down to 19hp and facing off (the front, bitey, clawy part of) a huge dragon by yourself and Not invisible? Like That kind of hosed? ; )
Don't worry. They like to toy with their food. You'll be all right.

Phew! Being Dragon chow! Always been goal of Akiros' : P
On the bright side, if we survive this we'll be catapulted to level 8. Nice! :D
Male Human Fighter (Archer) 6
Staring down from the ramparts, I don't think I liked idea of being catapulted.
Keep in mind that if you leave a square, you trigger an attack of opportunity. This is important for Jemini, who is about to trigger one in the South Square.
Is fine, if she gets hit she'll also use a swift lay on hands.
Famous last words Jemini...
Am I correct in assuming that the dragon provokes an AOO from Berrin by moving after Akiros? Or is it still in the same square?
Only moving out of the square.
Male Human Heretic 5 Master of Many Styles 1
If the dragon were to stay more-or-less where it is, can I assume Taisper can get into flanking position on his next move action? If not, how many more turns might it take?
You get flanking as long as you outnumber your opponent.
I didn't realize Jemini would be open to a full-round attack when she's moving to another square. o.O
Gazookz!
She only got halfway there, since it takes two move or standard actions to actually get to the next one.

Verik's not going to be able to get there with two sections to cross, each with a medium dragon...I'm guessing Jemini is at -11hp right now. Looks like Akiros has to somehow get to her.
Depending on what Nikolai does ahead of him, I can cast a Prayer for him/Taisper/NPC's and slightly debuff that entrance medium dragon, unless you think the wound taken is serious enough to counter with healing this round.
Hey, I'm already formulating Jemini's glorious final post in my head - artists always suffer! ;)

Verik wrote: Depending on what Nikolai does ahead of him, I can cast a Prayer for him/Taisper/NPC's and slightly debuff that entrance medium dragon, unless you think the wound taken is serious enough to counter with healing this round. Well, with my current buffs, if I get some lucky damage rolls I could take away nearly half his current HP, so any help in making sure I hit him and making it harder for him to hit others is most welcome. Even at my buffed AC he still has damn near a 50% chance of hitting me, and with only 30HP it'll take some pretty astonishing luck to survive even just a single FAA, as has already been demonstrated on other party members. :-(
Obviously, in the end, if Nikolai would prefer a heal, that of course takes precedence. Having him healthy and fighting is a huge boon in this battle.
I will need healing now over a buff, but I think it's more important to finish off this dragon. It should die next turn, but this turn so someone can help Jemini would be better.

Thanks for the DMPC boss, but I'm a bit confused. Why is Akiros' attack at +9 instead of +12 with Flank? And why is the damage 1d8+13 instead of 1d10+11? Even if you used power attack, he's still using his broadsword, right?
and yes, you do assume right, if the dragon uses a FRA against Akiros, (or even a SA attack that hits, if I can do that?) then yes, he'll use his immediate action to beats feets outta there.
I thought he was using a borrowed longsword, and he had -2 for Power Attack.

Wanted to heal ya Nikolai but not trusting to chance any poor roles on a ranged 3d6 Channel. I'll be ready to get to touch range to you next round for a Cure Serious Wounds if needed, or opt a Channel Energy if that makes more sense.
Thank you, Verik. If I can be at full strength when I move to the next dragon, I can occupy it long enough for you to help Jemini. And there's gotta be enough allies within 30 that you don't have to heal dragons, right?
Male Human Cleric (Abadar) 7th / Fighter 1st / AC 24/10T/24F / HP 61 / F +10 R +3 W +11 / Init. +0 / Perc. +5 / Sense Motive +14
Yeah with Selective Channeling - as long as we don't have more than two dragons in the channel radius it will just be healing our side. For you though I will most likely sub my Dispel Magic for a Cure Serious Wounds first.

You said that Akiros was fully armed and armored, so I took that to mean he had his broadsword and armor, but it didn't seem to make much sense to me that he would be slugging his shield around as well, which is why he did borrow one of those.
Looks like you're right. Missed the detail during GMPC. As always, just roll with the numbers as-is.
Male Human Samurai-Ronin 4/ Oracle-Battle 3 | AC 24/ T12/ F23, HP73, F+8/ R +4/ W +7, Init +1(Roll twice), Percep +6, Sense Motive +10
What are the possible items we can get? Is it by value, or...?
And what do you mean by "Roll until you get all you normal equipment? Like, since Akiros has his armor his sword and a shield, he can't roll anymore? Or he can roll until he gets a magic shield?
And also, just roll once a round, but roll every round till we get 'all our stuff'? Or roll as many times as needed right now?
And Berrin, you didn't roll did you?
Umm... What?
I think he meant to 'roll with it' as is 'go with the flow' or 'keep the story moving and I'll tell you when you get the rest of your gear'...
So.. Just roll the dice man.
Oh, and if you could pretty please dole out 49 dmg to that thing this round I'd much appreciate it :)
Male Human Fighter (Archer) 6
Damage? What is this word that you speak?
Until you get the items normally on your character sheet. You don't get new items.
And if you have a fill-in item - like Akiros and his borrowed shield - it will transform into the item from your character sheet.
*facepalm* No wonder I had no idea what you were talking about, I was so eager to swat away at the dragon I only read what was relevant to Berrin (or so I thought). Show what I know...
1d100 ⇒ 95
hmm... guess I got my stuff back. I'll write it in next round if I'm still alive.

Ah sorry! Missed that you'd answered the questions already. Posting now...ish
Dragon moves out of square, that's an aoo right?
Not to/from the air. Just through the ground squares. It's the withdraw action, essentially.

Damn it!! I Completely forgot about Hero Points until right now. Using one woulda let me hit the dragon to. Grrr
Don't suppose a retroactive use is possible?
Oh, and I also forgot to make my roll: 1d100 ⇒ 52
Sweetness! If only they were white dragons! :b
Awesome, one dead and one fled plus our equipment is appearing!
