MAP

Just for a key, white is off the map and black is unnmapped areas. As you can see there is still an area to the south blacked out if you wish to head east and explore one of those hex's for Kressel as the man did say they came from the south and they only had 2 rations on them each.

Edit: oops, did it again.

I don't know if you are updating right now, but the KM map is not loading.

That's probably becasue I just updated it, lol. Will update the one on my profile too now. Also I messed up on the map and forgot to black out a area so I missed out a area to black out like Ganit and Lukan pointed out.

Looking at your map Ganit, and not wanting to fall off the edge of the world, I say we head southwest, then southeast, northeast, and so forth back to the section of forest closest to Oleg's outpost unless we see something along the way to change our course. A systematic approach will save a great deal of time. That way, when we next depart from Olegs, we can head to the southern part of the forest without having to come back to the west.

"Sounds good. You truely are the daughter of a woodsman, aren't you?" Ganit tells Carina as he looks over the map. He takes a moment to catch his bearings and redirects himself to the next destination.

"Oh the fanciful tales you spin Ganit. Next time you tell of the bandit, he will be a she, and a child, and I will have drawn and quartered her. Leaving parts of her body to decorate the fort."

Lukan mounts up and heads towards the West.

"And here I thought I was doing you a simple kindness by downplaying your deeds, Lukan. Allow me to amend my previous comment." Ganit begins, looking at Jameson and Carina in turn. "Our valiant knight did the honorable service of slitting the boy's throat; graciously allowing him to bleed out what remaining life he had writhing in dirt like a stuck pig. Is that better?" he retorts.

Going West-Southwest as per map restrictions

Hmmm, I think I will sit off to the side while you boys have a slap fight. Please leave the weapons to the side as I would prefer having you both healthy should we run into something that wants to kill us. Rolls eyes and giggles.

Jameson shakes his head at the antics of Lukan and Ganit but otherwise keeps his thoughts to himself.

"If this bandit is to the south of Oleg's then it is good we are heading that way. They are most likely in the forest, as it provides better cover for their hideout."

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

"I guess compared to your old, wrinkled ass that bandit was just a wee boy, and he deserved no better - you dirty bandit loving..." Lukan cuts himself short, regaining what little is left of his composure and continues to ride onward.

Hearing this remark, Ganit halts his horse abruptly and swings his body around to face Lukan. "You'd do best to quell that fire in your belly, boy, unless you’re asking me to put it out for you.”

Eight years ago, I’d have held the prisoner by his hair while you cut him. But I’m not that person anymore… He thinks to himself while sizing the soldier up.

”Now how about we put the issue aside until we get back to the outpost, there are far more dangerous things on these trails than this eager executioner.” He turns his back to Lukan and makes his way ahead of the group to his scouting position hoping that the distance will cool the emotions.

Male Human Fighter (Armor Master) 4

Lukan chuckles at the 'boy' comment. The chuckle quickly grows into a hearty laughter. His eyes drop the malice and malcontent that were in them before. Insanity grips the soldier for a brief moment. The kind of insanity that comes from realizing just how small their squabble is in the grand scheme of things. His laughter rings over the plains, uncontrolled.

"Oh brother...

Cambyl watches Ganit and Lukan cautiously, hoping the two men can get past the old argument.

He rides up to Karina and James, "They really are nice guys when you get to know them." He smiles at the newer members of the company.

I assume Ganit is agreeing with Carina and means south-west, south-east then north-east? makes a nice dent in the map. Also you've just passed the 50% mark to 2nd level.

As you camp the night there is a sudden sound like that of crickets scratching their legs, but they sound bigger and closer than normal crickets. Suddenly the tune starts to become very catchy. You all manage to resist the catchy tune apart from Jameson and Sir Bronwyn who start to dance and shuffle their feet.

For some reason in my mind's eye it looks like they're river dancing.

Out of the darkness you can hear laughter all around you as the tune appears to be eminating somewhere inside the camp and that's when you see a creature with the body of a elf attached to the lower part of a cricket rubbing it's legs that's eminating the music. You hear laughter of others but you can't see them.

"Dance bigginses, dance" cried one of the voices as they continue their laughter.

Knowledge Nature DC 11:

You are pretty certain these are the sounds of a Grig. They have the upper body of a elf, but the rest of a cricket and are goodly creatures who set out to destroy evil and uglyness, however this is what often gets them in trouble.

They have a longsword and a bow with a quiver of arrows you can see on them. They don't have any of the weapons in their hands as they obviously mean no harm.

"Humans you call them? Yes, they are all humans. They are all hiding in a big walled area. Like the one outside the forest near what you bigginses call a road." he explains "Be careful in the wilds here. There are lots of nasty creatures that might hurt you."

At the mention of a trapper he raises a eyebrow
"Trapper?" he seems confused but then snaps his little fingers "Oh, you mean the bigginses who set traps and hunt animals? No, we fey have no problem with trappers as long as they don't take more than they need." he seems very curious now and then jumps on top of Jameson's shoulder. "Are you bigginses here for any reason? We've seen you travelling for many cycles now. Are you lost?"

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

To answer your question, we work for the good biggunses who live in cities to the north. We are scouting this land to remove evil, be it biggunses, fey, or other monsters. My friends for instance recently killed two evil giants living in a cave several cycles south of here. Our hope is that once the evil in this land has been destroyed, good trappers and farmers may move in and use the land to grow food for our cities without harming the good fey and animals who call this land home.

Good fey, these bigginses of which you speak here in the big walled area, how many cycles march is it to their walled area? We believe that these biggunses in the walled area you spoke of are very evil and seek only to steal from others and have no qualm about hurting others who get their way. It is evil such as this that we seek to eradicate from these lands. If you could help lead us to the biggunses walled area, we would be ever appreciative.

No, they only have the top body of a elf creature. The one Ganit saw had a completely humanoid body.

As Carina shows the map, Kah-Et-Kor points south of the patch of radishes.

I'm assuming the nature of their warning was not for the immediate future, like someone about to attack the group...

"This was fortunate. They were such helpful creatures. Perhaps we should ensure that some of this forest have strict protections from poachers, loggers, and so on."

Lukan rubs his chin as he speaks further, "That bear sounds similar to what Jhod had described. If this is indeed a temple of Erastil, we should probably seek to restore it before we continue further. Having the power of Old Deadeye on our side would truly turn this expedition in our favor. With his blessings we could easily topple Kressle's gang."

Agreed. And the big frog people, does anyone recall the mention when we were at Oleg's about some boggards or something? Could they be one and the same?

So, I think we have two options. Head toward one of the spots noted by the Grigs, or continue our systematic mapping. Makes no difference to me, we have to go through each of these areas at some point, the only question is whether we do it now, or later?

Also, since we know about where the bandits are, when we enter that area, we can go much slower with Ganit scouting, and hopefully set some type of rap just as you all did with the Prawns.

Yeah, it was a general warning about the Stolen Lands and the places they pointed out, but the last warning was just a general warning about the lands and referencing once again what you have all been told that others have tried to settle these lands and failed.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

All considered mounted for the moment and the worg is on the ground. For those who are trained in mounted combat like Jameson this puts you at an advantage. Also Donal will act on Jameson's turn for simplicity's sake.

I actually rolled to intimidate it. I'll roll init now.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Human Ranger 3 / Rogue 2

HP 38/38; AC 18, touch 13, Flat Footed 15; CMD 19; Fort +3, Reflex +9 (Evasion), Will +4; Perception +11 (+1 v traps; +2 v Humans); Initiative +3

Did that Sleep spell do anything? If so we could all be racing to coup de grace this puppy

Male Human Bard 4

Bron whispers quickly to those around him:

I'll hold the creature, do not fear.

He moves his horse to the left side, offering an easier target to the worg. The knight watches the creature's red eyes as they follow his movement.

Move Action to 6E. Antagonize Feat Swift Action - Sense Motive check against DC 20: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 (failed)

Bron rears his horse, shouting:

It is I that you want, creature. I offer myself to you, beast, defeat me and you shall escape. Attack them and it's swift painful death to you.

He holds his body hunched, his body to the side of the horse, his neck exposed and in the creature's range.

Standard Action: Antagonize feat Diplomacy check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 against DC 10 + worg's HD + its Wisdom modifier. If successful, the worg has –2 penalty on all attacks rolls made against creatures other than Bronwyn.

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Don't know the timing of the Sleep spell. But the DC is 15 for the saving throw I think. 10+1 (level 1) + 4 (Cha)

If it is still up when it is my turn.
Ray of Frost: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ganit doesn't attempt to understand the suicidal tactics of young sir Raslov but that doesn't stop him from giving his assistance to headstrong knight. He dismounts and dismisses gentle Felicity and focuses his bow to the area between the wolf and the noble. Move action to dismount into J7, Readied Action to shoot the Worg if it crosses Column 8.

Readied Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage:1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
+5/+2 Base, PB Shot +1/+1, Deadly Aim -1/+2; Total:+5/+5

Edit: Changed Row to Column. I hate getting those confused

Male Human Bard 4

Bron takes a quick look at Ganit and smiles, noticing the ranger apparently is following close to the ploy. He offers Ganit a wink but quickly turns his gaze back to the creature.
