Bandit save : 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
The acid fails to damage the bandit.
Shoun's firebolt almost strikes the bandit, but hits the boat instead. Krissina's bolt sinks into the sea.
The boat that you guys are on is about 50' away from the ship, so can't move forward unless you guys start rowing or hope for a lucky wave.
The two bandits shoot behind the cover of the longship, reloading again.
Target: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Bandit attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Target: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Bandit attack 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
A bolt just flies past Krissina while Ravvek is struck by a bolt.
Everyone may act.
Ravvek the Avenger
Wait, what? My understanding was that we were in a boat with a crew? Are we in a long boat now? If so, Rav spends his round rowing, his shield on his back (assuming that he has to face away.)
GM Star Drake
Okay I think paizo swallowed one of my edits.
To summarise, You left the boat that brought you guys here in a rowboat, and are approaching the longship (Probably Krulek's). I assume you're heading towards the longship.
Your boat is now to the right of the longship, at the lower right of the map.
Map
After a lucky wave, your boat is now right next to the longship. The bandits are hiding and peeking at your movement. There are some rope ladders dangling from the plateau above to the deck of the ship.
You can attempt to climb up, or if you can think of another way to get on welcome to try.
Raeva
Raeva will ready to lay waste to any bandit that dares to show his face over the railing.

Strength (Athletics): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Lovely. :p
GM Star Drake
Sorry it should have been Shoun and Ravvek, and now Krissina as well.
Raeva's firebolt strikes one of the bandits as he tries to get a shot off, and the man falls back on the deck of the ship, dead. His companion is in a panic and runs towards one of the ladders, scaling up.
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Shoun, Ravvek and Krissina struggle to get on the board as the waves toss the boats around. Fortunately it hides the man's shouting...
Krissina and Raeva make a DC 8 Dex save. If you fail you fall into the water. If you succeed, you may attempt to climb onto the boat with a Str check DC 10.
Ravvek is clinging to the side of the ship. He can do a Str check to pull himself up. He can then do his usual turn after.
Everyone may act.
Ravvek the Avenger
Dexterity Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Strength (Athletics?): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Hopefully, that works. If I cannot use Athletics and it is only a straight Strength check, disregard the rest of this post.
Rav pulls himself over the rail and rolls up, drawing his longbow!
Bonus action hunter's mark, and pull!
Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage w hunter's mark: 1d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + (5) + 3 = 14
Krissina
DEX Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Is the 2nd man still in range to move and attack.
I did think that I could have Bardic Inspired you both, but honestly the odds were pretty well in your favour of passing those rolls, and I'm supposed to declare it before.
GM Star Drake
He seems to be very focused on climbing.. well for a brief moment
Ravvek jumps onto the deck of the ship, whips out his longbow and sends an arrow flying. It pierces the man's shoulder, and he is in so much pain he falls down into the water. His head smashes against some rocks and he is undoubtedly dead.
Krissina; do you want to help Shoun with bardic inspiration?
Ravvek the Avenger
Well, that didn't go well at all, the paladin mutters as he moves to help the others aboard.
GM Star Drake
The group manage to get onto the longship.
The longship carries rations, kegs of ale, and a small armory of swords, spears, arrows, and longbows. Among the supplies are half-dozen thick gray cloaks.
Handout: https://i.imgur.com/HsxopxU.jpg
There are rope ladders up the cliff. There's also a sea cave near the longship that you didn't spot earlier.
Ravvek the Avenger
Rav grabs an extra quiver of arrows, before checking with the others, Are we moving ahead?
Raeva
Dex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Str check: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6
Raeve overbalances as he celebrates taking down the bandit and winds up in the water.
In the end he is helped onto the longship.
"We should have gotten some of these robes in town." Raeva puts on a robe.
Ravvek the Avenger
Rav helps Raeva aboard, We'll have to get you warm, my friend. After we take care of business, of course.
Krissina
Krissina puts her hand on Raeva's shoulder and pushes warmth into his clothing
Can only Prestidigitate inanimate objects, and doesn't seem to be an option to 'dry' but wet and warm is still better than wet and cold right?
Shoun
Shoun will secure a longsword and grey cloak for himself, as well as a scroll case. He then goes about creating a fire for Raeva to warm himself on.
Do I think the Zhentarim would want me to bring back the scroll or just report on it's contents?
Ravvek the Avenger
Noticing Shoun take a cloak, Rav thinks, Damn, why didn't I think of that!?!
The paladin sheepishly takes one of the cloaks as well, folding his own and shoving it in his pack.
Raeva
No. I was under the impression that we had moved on. I can make more rolls if I need to.
GM Star Drake
Raeva falls into the water and the coldness stuns him. His companions fish him out of the water.
Raeva gains one level of exhaustion. You'll need to get to dry land and spend a few minutes drying off next to a fire.
The companions gather what they can.
Shoun, you think they'd want you to bring back the scoll.
You gain the following mission.
Capture Krulek Alive The Zhentarim have ways of getting to their enemies, even if they’re in prison. Characters who return Sahnd Krulek alive to the authorities earn one additional renown point.
What do you wish to do now? Go via the sea cave or up the rope ladders?
Ravvek the Avenger
We wait for a few minutes while Shoun helps Raeva warm up by the fire, and Rav says, Should I go up and take a look?
Ravvek the Avenger
Shoun said that he was going to go about trying to create a fire for Raeva, and Krissina was trying to use prestidigitation to try to dry, or at least warm him. If there is nothing to burn, I figure that he can light part of the boat on fire maybe and snuff it out before it gets too out of control. :p
Raeva
No. Let's keep moving.
Raeva smiles at Krissina's efforts. He still shivers a bit, but the warmth feels good in his dry gray robes.
Ravvek the Avenger
Rav slings his bow and begins to work his way up the rope ladder.
GM Star Drake
The group climb the cliff to the rope ladders, emerging near what appears to be the bandit camp. Raeva struggles throughout the climb but manages to make it.
A circle of tents is pitched near the cliff edge, partially hidden behind rocks and scrub brush. Half a dozen gray-cloaked outlaws mill around the camp, sharpening swords, checking supplies, or practicing archery on straw targets. To the northeast, a lone tent can be glimpsed through the fog.
A muscled Tashalan woman paces restlessly through the camp, her eyes locked on the statue to the west. As she walks, she angrily swishes an axe back and forth.
All of you are near the cliff edge, to the left of the two rocks on the right side of the map and above the ship.
Ravvek the Avenger
Ravvek whispers to the others, It seems that the meeting might be taking place already... What do you want to do? I'd prefer to make my way to the other side and strike at the heart of the Dragon. But will defer to wiser voices...
Raeva
Raeva is breathing more heavily than normal, but insists that he is well. "I have no better idea at the moment." he responds to Ravvek's suggestion.
Shoun
"Raeva, hold your arm like it's injured. The rest of you, I need to collapse as I'm talking." Whispers Shoun before turning to the larger camp and shouting "We've been had! Jeralla wanted to kill us this whole time, and ambushed us while we were on guard duty! Go Krulek before it's too late!"
Shoun will collapse to the ground, and with a final shout of "Avenge us!" he will "die".
Deception (using inspiration): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Raeva
Raeva does as instructed. His current physical state makes it easier to seem injured.
Deception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Ravvek the Avenger
Forgot that I took damage! Profile updated, but as it was only 3 hp, I will remain the strongest of the group and just maintain that I helped cover the retreat.
It was all I could do to get them back up alive, Ravvek leans against a rock, breathing heavily.
Charisma (Deception): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
GM Star Drake
You are led through a small camp, and besides the woman you count six others. You notice a larger tent towards the back of the area, guarded by a large brute standing vigil.
The Tashalan woman approaches him and the brute steps forward inspecting the lot of you. "Who be these? I haven't seen 'em around before? And I know everyone Krulek's hired!"
Shoun
"Fair point." Shoun says. "Kill them." he says by way of instruction/warning to the group, even as he levels a beam of fire at the brute.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage Roll w/Sneak Attack if possible: 1d20 + 2d6 ⇒ (18) + (6, 6) = 30
Ravvek the Avenger
Ooop, Shoun, you rolled a d20 for your firebolt!
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Round 1:
Attacking the closest (Brute or Tashalan woman) commander...
+1 rapier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Damage (w hunter's mark): 1d8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + (5) = 19
What an auspicious way to begin!
^_^

Raeva also targets the brute.
