Been smashed IRL, so levelling might take a while...

So... game dead?

Not dead... not yet. I will admit I've had to seriously consider whether or not I am able to give my pbp games their due diligence. I really wish to continue on, but I am stretched thin these days. Work is overwhelming and I have little downtime. Whatever spare moment I have is spent trying to keep up with notes. Beyond that, I am getting married in 70 days, and wedding planning consumes my spare time. Basically, my time is not my own anymore.

So that's where I'm at. I'm hoping things will calm down after the wedding. If not, after the new year. I'm trying to commit to at least a post a week to keep things moving.

If you're willing to stick with it, I'm willing to trudge along at a slower pace with the hopes of being able to pick up speed in the next few months.

Perfectly fine with me. I'm here and not going anywhere. Gives us some extra time to think about level 3:)

Biggest change is blast now does 2d6+5, and I have precise shot and pushing infusion now. Hoping to have the chance to blast someone off of a cliff soon!

Wylde has generously granted me 3000 GP to blow on Moira's kit! This is my first automatic bonus progression game--can I spend 2000 GP on a Spell Storing weapon and use it without an enhancement bonus? Reading this in the ABP rules:

"If a character doesn’t have enough of an enhancement bonus to afford the special ability (such as a 4th-level character with a vorpal longsword), she can still use the weapon’s power on its own, but the weapon gains no enhancement bonus."

No worries if it won't fly, just checkin'!

Moira, this is my first time using ABP as well, so I may be getting it wrong.

Basically, by these rules, magic weapons and armor with enhancement bonuses (+1, +2, etc.) don't exist. But, weapons with special abilities do. You automatically get the +1, +2, etc. bonuses as you level up.

So, you can have a Spell Storing weapon, but it doesn't need to be a +1 Spell Storing weapon. For instance, Attai recently found a Thundering Club. It's not a +1 weapon, but it does have the Thundering property.

If you have a weapon with a magical property, go ahead and treat it as Masterwork (+1 to hit, but not to Dmg.)

I hope that makes sense, and I hope I've gotten it correct.

ABP actually kind of makes a GMs job a little bit harder, as simple staples such as a Ring of Deflection, or a Cloak of Resistance don't exist. So if I use a NPC with those items in their stats, I have to reconfigure.

The plus side is for the players, as they can use more interesting gear without fear of being underpowered.

Hi again, Wylde! I've finished shopping and updating--should I fill in my inventory on the google sheet in Kytes' spot? Or do you want me to open up a new column? Maybe the party should pick his pockets for quest-related objects before I barge in...

Also, what are your thoughts on Chill Touch in a spell storing sword--would I get a single Chilly slash, or would I get three swipes with it before it empties, as if I had cast it on my hand? I'm dithering over which spell to take for my Dirge Bard special.

I will be on a staycation from work from Wednesday 8/26 until Monday 8/31. During this time, my posts will be significantly less frequent, especially on the weekend, as I am celebrating my birthday!

As for the chilly slash... Considering it’s a magus spell, I think it’d work like the Spellstrike ability. The magus page on the pfsrd even includes a faq specifically calling out Chill Touch.

If I cast a spell that allows multiple touch attacks, can I deliver all of those spell touches through my weapon?

Yes. For example, if you cast chill touch (which allows multiple touch attacks), you could use spellstrike to cast and deliver the spell through your weapon, and in later weapon attacks you could use your weapon to deliver the remaining spell touch attacks (one spell touch attack per weapon attack).

If you have multiple attacks per round with that weapon (such as from having a BAB of +6 or higher), you can use the weapon to deliver multiple spell touch attacks per round, so long as you have uses of that spell touch attack remaining.

For example, if you are an 8th-level magus (BAB +6/+1) and you cast chill touch, you have up to 8 uses of that spell touch attack. If you make two weapon attacks in a round, you can deliver two spell touch attacks per round (one for each successful weapon attack).

Things settling down here, should be able to level up over the weekend...
