Armik pulls the curtain quickly, in knowledge their arrival has already been made clear.

The walls and ceiling of this chamber bulge outward, continuing the grotesque architectural style of the antechamber, as if you were standing in the leviathan’s stomach.

Queer, glowing nodules protrude from the walls at seemingly random intervals, bathing the room in their sickly green glow. A tall, free-standing, almost organic-looking archway carved from a strange, glowing blue-green stone stands atop a low dais in a wide alcove at the far end of the chamber.

The center of the arch is empty, revealing the wall behind it, but the space occasionally flickers with curtains of starry darkness, as if somewhere else lies just beyond the portal.

A susurrus of ghostly whispers seem to issue from the gate, their language and meaning unclear, but fraught with a sense of wrongness.

A young woman, with distinct Osiriani features, of long dark hair and light brown skin, wearing a weathered explorer’s outfit.
She stands in the back near the arcway. Near her, stands a cilinder, transluscent, containing some sort of mass. She is connected to the gateway by five disgusting, fleshy, fungoid umbilicals attached to her hips, shoulders, and the base of her skull.

Five humanoid figures slowly turn their fetid heads towards you. Their eyes milky, their skin deathly pale. One has its nose bitten off, others dried up gore on their mouths. Chunks of missing skin accompany the bite marks on a neck or two and arms.

But what links them together, is they are all wearing the same uniform the corpse in the library was wearing.

"So, [b] the woman speaks, with..an unusual ring to her voice, [b]the world above sends more people to their doom? I'd be happy to oblige, more victims mean more servants."

"As you'll meet your demise here anyway, i'll enlighten you.
I've returned after so long, thanks to the young miss here, to finally establish a means to travel between the stars. Such knowledge it holds."

Brady focuses inward to recall some former training, refreshing himself in a style of fighting focusing on hard jabs combines with nimble moves. He steps past the curtain, but no further, taking up a readied stance to await the advance of their foes.

As Brady assumes a battlestance, Imrizade moves along the south, drawing a stick as she goes.

She points at Brady.
"You two, kill that one."

The zombies approach Brady, but orange is on the receiving end, as Brady's punch comes in with such force, that he punches a hole in the face. The zombie drops to the ground, leaving Brady with a gore and pus covered fist.

The red on comes up close, and makes a swing at him.

Wait, how come no one told me there were precursors to Starfinder in season 1! I didn't realize Triune was in the habit of controlling people, though...

AS the gate way is revelaed, Faliana gives an urk and Moke forces his way to the top. "I TOLD you there was demonic influences going on here! That woman is CLEARLY being controlled. Let&s kill the damnable thing!" His singular focus on the obvious demon, however prevents him from seeing anything but her and even realizing that the fight has started until after the demon-zombie things have started moving.

I don't think with a 3 vs 1, Armik's actions would have changed, though.

Armik arrives close enough to strike the zombie, which turns out to be what Imrizade was waiting for, as she aims the stick at him.

They are not of the staggering type, and can swing more than just 1 fist when they try to attack. They are also more susceptable to weapon dmg than their staggered counterparts.

On my phone so I can't move around but could someone move me so I'm behind Darren?

Moke gives a growl as the zombie like things start moving about. He steps up behind Darren and drudge up a few memories of when he was alive and the tactics his tribe developed to handle spears in tight formation. With a growl he then stabs through the area between Darren and Brady.

"These zombies are nothing but a distraction! We need to handle the woman over there. Faliana's legs aren't strong enough for that though. Why do you people insist on heavy metal armor?"

After a moment of actually examine the zombies he pipes up again. "These are faster zombies! They like swinging with both fists, but are easier to kill."

Faliana thrusts her spear's tip forward, causing Darren's heart to skip a beat as it comes very very close past his vision.

The spear heads into one eye socket, protrudes from the back, before Faliana/Moke pulls it back. Another one goes down.

The green zombie wears a helmet, which doesn't particularly protect it from Monty's strike.

He drops the spear and pulls out Fali's Lucerne hammer much better suited to sundering things and starts to rush forward. After running a few feet, he comes up to a stop near one of the zombies. With a curse the man stops to catch his breath. In a pissed of sounding Polygot, he starts cursing the fates that the person channeliong him has suich pitibaly weak legs.

With a look of frustration, he brings the hammer in a giant arc around his head and tries to smash the helemt on the zombie in front of the monkey man into the ground.

To be clear, does this just mean that Brady's 6 pts of damage didn't exceed the CMD and/or hardness of the tendril, or does this mean that there's also some DR at play that requires a different damage source?

So there's additional DR that prevents Brady's unarmed strike from doing its full damage, above and beyond what we would expect from hardness? Sorry to be so nit-picky, but Brady has some options via Martial Flexibility, but they would be different depending on if I'm trying to overcome hardness or DR.

Darren's 1st strike seems to bounce back, as his grip on his machete wasn't firm enough.
He severs one of the cords on her hips with his 2nd strike. The thing wriggles briefly like a decapitated snake before becoming inert.

Imrizade arches her neck in discomfort.
