This campaign is my attempt to play a canonical Planescape campaign using the updated Pathfinder ruleset. The game actually predates the release of Pathfinder, but we have managed to update as we have needed.

The Barbarian grimaces as Justin once again ends up in the monster, as the Barbarian considers a second flying charge into the maw of the beast, it explodes in a fountain of gore from which Hamar is also splashed.

He flies up to get some charging distance and directly at the other... thing, considering it's ability to score hits so successfully. The Barbarian flies into it's mouth as well, moving through as striking at will.

Anyway, Hamar's and Alessia's attacks pretty much seal the deal

The flashing blades of the barbarian and the warrior undead slice the ooze to ribbons. It collapses into the fetid slime of its components.

The Barbarian shakes his head to get the funk of the thing out of it as best he can.

"Even in such a place long buried, evil never dies eh? This is why my people roam the plains and do not delve such ruins. What s buried, should almost always stay buried. Which way now? Let us find the essence of those corpses and lay them to their damned rest".

Justin nods, not trusting himself to respond aloud to Hamar's words.

The wizard shakes his arms, flinging yet more of the fetid slime off himself.

"It slimed me." Justin repeats calmly, deadpan.

The wizard blinks, and makes an ugly face.

"AND it's in my mouth! GROSSgrossgrossgross!"

As Memnon's sarcastic laughter rings through the space, (Interspersed with several sarcastic comments), Justin hastily mutters his cleaning charm, and rapidly removes the majority of the slime remnants from himself. Once the wizard has regained his calm, and his dignity, he offers to do the same for the others.

Justin happily aids any others who wish to de-slime themselves.

(And instructs Memnon to gather a couple of samples for Alchemical use.)

The wizard turns from cleaning Mal's armor 'Justin' time to see Alessia begin marching down a hallway. Her armored footsteps in perfect time, like a construct clock.

"Alessia! Wait, a,... Nevermind,..."

The wizard shakes his head.

"I thought I was supposed to be the headstrong one in this group?!?

Alessia starts to head down the dim corridor. The walls have that desert culture fresco look: all hieroglyphs and scenes of war and slaughter. ahead in the dimness, she can see another raised stone dais with large bronze spikes in the hallway. A wide shaft opens above it.

Justin works his way up to the spikes. The shaft above them is also 15 feet long, and heads upwards 60 feet, ending in a set of three 5x5 panels. Justin notices again that there are no cobwebs or piles of garbage near the spikes, or on the floor. The bronze itself looks bright, and polished. In a tomb like this, Justin would assume at least some verdigris on the metal, but there is none.

The walls are also clean of cobwebs and detritus. Some of the frescoes are beginning to crumble at the corners, but it looks as if someone swept all the plaster bits away somewhere

Justin rises above the floor, careful to not fly directly under the open shaft above. Yet. He continues to look around the chamber.

"And this is STILL the cleanest tomb/dungeon/hole-in-the-ground I have ever seen. Either the mummies are meticulously retentive house cleaners, or they have a heckuva maid service."

"Hey, Be careful up there Hamar. Remember not all creatures are easy to see!"

Justin shakes his head.
"Looks like another standard death-drop-pit-trap. Complete with spiky accessories. This place was built to make sure intruders didn't make it to those entombed here. SO, We're on the right path. Ish."

Hamar can see that the shaft terminates above in three separate panels. He sees springs and other clockworks attached at the bottom. This would seem to be three spring pit traps placed one after the other in a hallway or room above on the upper floor of the tomb complex

Justin scribbles some lines in his journal with a charcoal stub. He's TRYING to make a map Then tucks it away again.

"Yes please Hamar. Keep an eye out for hidden doors. I've read of entire tomb complexes that were built to look already looted, while the true burial chamber was completely hidden. Some builders just have way too much time on their hands I guess?"

Hamar takes his time and looks over the walls as they slowly advance. They are covered in hieroglyphics and scenes of life from a desert culture. They remind him of the Mulholrand frescos he had seen in his wanderings on Faerun. He notices near the bottom of one panel that a small area has been scraped clean. A few words in Common have been scratched there:
