Tyler throws a worried look Ulfs way, but focuses on their opponent. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Again with the missing.

They are flat out running, so 4x normal move, which is one move to edge of map and 90' off the map.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

Kyrus moves out of cover of the trees and calmly lifts his bow again, aiming at the back of the men who are fleeing the battle. He judges the distance, then lowers his bow again. Even if he could make a good shot at this distance, he can't shoot a man in the back in good conscience. He turns and fires at the last guard brave enough to stand and fight and fires at him.

Attack (Melee): 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 4 = 11
Can I just say how nice it's going to be when we level up and I can get Precise Shot?

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

On the verge of unconsciousness, Úlf makes the tactical play and withdraws from the field.

Full-round withdraw to move out of five-foot step range of Green.

I could have sworn I had posted on here earlier, must have forgotten to hit submit or something.

Amelleanne glances over at the fleeing soldiers, but see's little point in pursuit. They were after all only following orders.

"Drop your weapon, you have no chance against all of us, and we have questions for you to answer. There is no need for your pointless death here."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 -2 if you think it falls under Intimidation instead

Male Human Nature Fang Druid 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 15 | HP 22/22 | F +6 R +3 W +7 | Init +7 | Perc +7

Leon moves in spear and shield I would listen to her, the lot of you have been unable to kill a single one of us, fleeing is pointless. tracking you by both scent and track would be a simple feat. We only want what we came for nothing more, there doesn't need to be anymore death . Even if you try and run Lorelei here will catch up, and the rest of us can keep pace. There's little point Leon explains in his usual logical manner
Assist diplo: 1d20 ⇒ 20

The lone guard drops his weapon and falls to his knees, holding his hands above his head and muttering, "Just kill me. It will be better than the fate I would face under the baron's justice."

Your intense questions yield no further information that what you already deduced...the baron did take the lady Bronwyn and headed through the Laughing Hollow. The guards were left to stop any potential forces from following the baron, or die trying. They are headed back to baron Agwain's estates, where he plans to keep the lady as his mistress.

Nice rolls on diplomacy! The adventure calls for the men to fight to the death - you've changed things and found a better alternative =)

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"So there's nothing to do other than continue after the baron then." He sighs and shakes his head. "Fine. I suppose that we should keep moving and try to catch up with him before he gets too far." He looks at the man for a moment. "You can't go back to the baron without suffering his punishment. I'd suggest you leave the area entirely and find a job elsewhere. You're a capable warrior, and there's always a need for guards for caravans or one of the other villages or even a city somewhere further away."

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Tyler checks Ulf's wounds, "Does anyone have any healing magic?" He asks, readying his Cure light extract if needed.

Male Human Nature Fang Druid 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 15 | HP 22/22 | F +6 R +3 W +7 | Init +7 | Perc +7

Believe it or not I do, i learned some healing magic and first aid living in the forest. How bad are the wounds Leon comment's Looking over to Ulf and Tyler

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

Úlf looks like he has been through the ringer more than once. He is bleeding heavily from multiple wounds, and is leaning heavily on his greataxe to help him stand now that the fighting over.

"Úlf has taken more than flesh wound...is kind of miraculous that I am still conscious..." he says.

Translation: Úlf is at 1 HP.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"If someone could patch up this arrow wound, I would appreciate it. It makes it kind of hard to use my arm properly."

I'm at 3 HP, but melee fighters should probably come first

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

"I'm fine, but Ulf took a couple of bad shots!"

Tyler gives the extract to Ulf.

Cure light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Giving him some healing to start with.

Human Slayer 4 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 AoO 20 | HP 31/31 | F +5 R +6 W +2 | Init +2 | Perc +7

Amelleanne looks at her wounds. "I fear I got a little cut up that battle also."

Male Human Nature Fang Druid 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 15 | HP 22/22 | F +6 R +3 W +7 | Init +7 | Perc +7

I can only do this twice, Ulf goes first, we see how it goes after that. Either way i can give proper medical treatment to you and Kyrus after. Leon mutter's under his breathe lay's his hand on Ulf's shoulder. His hand glowing wit ha brief green light That should get him back on his feet Leon looks over to AMell and Kyrus, pulling out medical kit let's get those wounds patched up, don't want anything becoming infected

Clw Ulf: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

CLW part 2: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Since it is already into the night, and the group is fairly beat up, are you making camp to get some rest? With a full night's rest (8 hours of sleep or more), you recover 1 hit point per character level. Leon's successful Heal check will give 2 more (see his Discussion note). Will assume you rest...give me a watch rotation please or let me know if you do something different.

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Since Leon is busy healing Tyler will get a camp set up somewhere close by but out of sight. No fire is case there are other guards out looking for anyone pursuit.

"I'll take the first two watches." Tyler volunteers. ""Let the wounded have a full night of rest to heal up."

Human Noble-Born Assasin (FP1/2; W11/11)

Amelleanne will take whichever watch, though if the others are happy to let her rest she won't object.
Added 4hp (1heal+1rest+2rest/heal)

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"I appreciate the concern. Just make sure to wake me if any of them come back with more reinforcements." Kyrus doesn't bother to set up his tent and simply unrolls a blanket and lays down to try to sleep without aggravating his shoulder.

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

"You have Úlf's thanks for volunteering for double watch duty..." the warrior says gratefully. When he lays down to rest, he keeps his greataxe very close at hand...just in case.

Male Human Nature Fang Druid 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 15 | HP 22/22 | F +6 R +3 W +7 | Init +7 | Perc +7

Lorelei and i will take watch after that As he finishes packing his medical equipment back up. You three need to be more careful, you could have died. That's his last word before heading off to sleep

GM rolls:
Encounters: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4) = 15
Nixie target: 1d6 ⇒ 1

The rest of the night passes without incident. By first light , the party is ready to set off to continue their pursuit of Baron Agwain and Lady Bronwyn. About midmorning, you come out of the forest into a large clearing that contains a lake. The trail you are following parallels the edge of the lake, about 20 feet away. The trail continues along the lake for about 300 yards before winding back into the forest. As you make your way along the trail, a group of nixies appears in the center of the lake about 100 feet from the shore. You spot one human with the nixies who stares blankly at you. The human appears to be in the baron'’s livery. The green-skinned fey have webbed hands and feet, with hair the color of seaweed and decorated with shells.

As you watch they start to sing a strange, enchanting song...

Amelleanne:
Make a DC15 Will save. If you fail, you dismount and walk into the lake towards the nixies! The nixies generate a powerful charm person spell on you. If you are charmed by the nixies, they will take you to their lair for one full year; the spell then wears off and you are allowed to go free. During your enslavement, the nixies keep a water breathing spell on you. Feel free to describe your actions...=)

Human Slayer 4 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 AoO 20 | HP 31/31 | F +5 R +6 W +2 | Init +2 | Perc +7

Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Amealleanne's eyes glaze over for a moment as she gazes over towards the group. She shakes her head to clear it and breathes deeply. We need to get away from that song - ride! she spurs her horse ahead to try and increase the distance.

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

Confused by the sudden flight, the warrior nonetheless defers to more knowledgeable people and takes off after Amelleane. "Amelleane! Are stories of siren-songs true?!" he asks as they ride.

Human Slayer 4 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 AoO 20 | HP 31/31 | F +5 R +6 W +2 | Init +2 | Perc +7

I realize that for some reason I rolled Fort, not Will, but it was still a pass, though only 1.

"I don't know anything about tales and legends, but I can't tell you how much I suddenly want to go and live with them in the lake."

Amelleanne stars staring straight ahead, resisting the temptation to look back in case she loses her will to resist the Nixies call.

Male Human Nature Fang Druid 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 15 | HP 22/22 | F +6 R +3 W +7 | Init +7 | Perc +7

Ride now! Leon shout's you can see actual fear in his eye's, as he tries to get as far away as possible. Not fey...anything but fey. he say's like a child waking from a nightmare.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"Fey are rarely something you want to mess with. Let's ride before they get offended by our refusal to play along." He drives his heels in to his horse's flanks, pushing him to run faster.

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Tyler digs his heels in to speed up his horse, humming loudly to try and drown out the song.

Amelleanne's years of mental focus training under her father's tutelage pays off, and her quick actions save the others from becoming a target of the nixies' song.

After another hour and a half on the trail, you emerge from a dense stretch of forest into an 80 foot wide glade and come upon a grisly scene. On the far east side of the glade three ghouls are chewing on the remains of a man and a horse. On the opposite side of the clearing is a rusty door opening out from a rock face, as if it were a door to a hole in the ground. The path drives straight through the middle. The ghouls seem completely absorbed in their meal...

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"Not dealing with the fey I understand, but please tell me we have time to put these abominations against nature back in the ground."

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

"Let me go first." Tyler whispers, preparing his bomb.

Crypt breaker bombs are designed to kill Undead. Can Tyler get all three ghouls one bombs radius?

Tyler Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Tyler will quietly dismount and wait for the rest of the party to ready themselves.

Human Slayer 4 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 AoO 20 | HP 31/31 | F +5 R +6 W +2 | Init +2 | Perc +7

Amelleanne dismounts and studies one of ghouls, letting Tyler creep forward with his grenades first.

Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

You each get one surprise action - movement or attack. The ghouls are clustered around the body, so they would all be within Tyler's bomb radius (if you hit them ;-) You may roll your initiative if you wish, or I will do it for you. Tyler, roll to hit!

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Are we within 30 feet? Sorry I mean what is the range. Tyler has Splash weapon mastery so counts as having the Far shot feat for Bombs.

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

Úlf follows Amelleanne forward, greataxe in hand, waiting until Tyler has a chance to drop his bomb on the unaware ghouls.

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Don't want to hold things up so I'll roll.

Tyler aims carefully. Bomb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

No direct hit, so anyone hit by the splash takes 4 damage. Reflex save DC14 for half.

With Splash weapon mastery Tyler can adjust the miss roll + or - 1. So whatever works better.

Really getting sick of this RNG, haven't rolled over 5 on an attack today, Damage has been constantly 1's or 2's.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

Kyrus drops down from his horse and draws his bow. He takes aim at the nearest ghoul and lets loose with an arrow before the undead creatures realize they're under attack.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

Once the bomb is thrown, Úlf charges headlong into the fray, his axe raised high above his head!

Charging Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 21
Charging PA Damage: 1d12 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 7

Yes, Ami, good plan to post both actions! You miss on the surprise round, but score a solid hit in the first round! You hit the 1d2 ⇒ 1 ghoul, who now has -9 hp.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

Round 1
Ulf:
Leon/Lorelei: Leon slips on a mushroom as he steps to throw the spear, causing it to sail off into the woods!
Tyler: Tyler's shot hits the ghoul on the left, aiming with the other arrows and crossbow bolts....he hits it and sets up Ami's shot.
Brynderie:
Amelleane: Her second shot scores a solid hit on the far left ghoul, sending it back to the great beyond!
Kyrus: Hits the last remaining undead creature!
Ghoul: Last one currently at -7 hp. Let's see what Bryn and Ulf can do...

Male Human (Ulfen) Fighter 3 | AC 18 T 12 FF 16 | HP 33/33 | F +5 R +3 W +1 | Init +4 | Perc +1

Úlf steps up to the final ghoul, bringing his axe to bear on it with the intent of sending it to the after-afterlife with the others!

Greataxe Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Whoo! Max Damage!

Combat over! Guess ya'll need tougher opponents... <insert evil laugh>

The ghouls were feasting on one of the baron’s men. He is wearing scale armor, and in his belt pouch is 13 gp and 7 sp. He was carrying a short bow, a lance, and a broad sword.

Inside the open door on the other side of the glade is a short tunnel with a single room branching off of it. The end of the tunnel collapsed centuries ago; it obviously was once a much longer tunnel. In the room are the bones of three dwarves and the remnants of their armor and weapons. Nothing is usable except a small vial containing a slightly effervescent liquid in the tattered pouch of one of the dwarven skeletons.

Male Half-Elf Ranger (Trapper) 4 | AC: 19 T: 15 FF: 14 | HP: 35/35 | F: +7 R: +10 W: +6 | Init: +5 | Perc: +11

"Well, at least there were only two of them," Kyrus says, stow his bow away again. He absently looks over the man's body. "He may have served an unpleasant man, but no one deserves to die to unholy creatures like those." He bows his head and murmurs a soft prayer to Erastil and Pharasma to speed his soul safely to it's destination. "Well, I suggest we grab anything useful and get riding. The longer we wait here, the further ahead the baron gets."

M Human Alchemist (Crypt breaker) 3/Wizard 1. AC 12 Touch 12 FF 14. HP 31. Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +3. Init + 2. Perception + 7

Tyler examines the vial carefully.

Is it Spellcraft or Craft alchemy to work out what it is?

Human Slayer 4 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 AoO 20 | HP 31/31 | F +5 R +6 W +2 | Init +2 | Perc +7

Amelleanne looks concernedly at the ghouls.
"I'm not familiar with these creatures, do we need to burn or behead the body - or do they not reproduce that way?"
