That whole 120' tree DC is a bit out of my reach (24). I would need to roll a 17 and it is not worth my action. But what does it take to do the 60' thing? Is it a standard action or just a knowledge check. How far do you need to be from the starting tree?

Notes on Terrain
The greenish water is about 2 feet deep and functions as a shallow bog for which it costs 2 squares of movement to enter a square.
The trees are large enough to obscure line of sight and provide cover.
Then somehow this didn't get posted in the first post of this encounter. I must have accidentally deleted it when I made the first post.
The large fallen tree near the center of the map forms a slick barrier about 10 feet tall, requiring either a DC20 Climb check to clamber over it or a DC24 Escape Artist check to slip under it while moving half speed. The narrow fallen tree that crosses to the heart of the blight is unsteady and slippery; a creature must succeed at a DC24 Acrobatics check to cross it, and failing the check by 5 or more dumps you in the water.

@Brak - Adjusted your square as you couldn't 5' step into the water and wouldn't want to anyway.

@Radagast - Also in the more bad GMing department, I didn't make it clear for Radagast that the blind was not tied to the Fort save, the Fort save was actually for poison - so pass there put you couldn't remove the blinded condition (only 1 round). I also missed rolling an effect from the goblin (so doing that in this post)
I think the easiest thing is to just move you back to where you were and take actions according to blinded and tree obstacle.
Sorry for the screw-ups

Dang it. I can't get to the map for a few hours. Is the pod within a double move/tree jump for Brak?

@Brak using the portal you can get within 1 square of the pod with in 60' of movement. I moved your token 30' and will let you decide what to do from there.

@Will the negative energy damage from moving through the water.

neg energy damage on Ibaz: 2d8 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

Ibaz pushes through the slimy water and puts his greataxe to good use, he wacks the pod and makes some progress, purple mist leaks from inside the pod where the axe dug in. Will's flask of acid burns at some of the leaves. Brak arrives as well running from the portal toward the island.

Radagast can't get through with his first attack, but slices through with his second swing. Silgil's magic missiles pummel the plant as well.

Can we tell what is damaging it and what isn't? Did the acid do any good? I am guessing we are dealing with a DR here since it is taking damage, but who has been dishing it out?

Silver Crusade

Maps and Handout

@Will - yeah no problem, I've tried to indicate who has been doing damage. But we are dealing with hardness (10) as opposed to DR. I ruled the acid did do full damage.

Fluffy's attacks all hit but fail to penetrate the tough pod exterior. While Radagast's attacks both hit and cut away some of the seedpod, but are not as deadly as he would hope. The seedpod is beginning to look very mangled, but still seems to be pouring forth blight.

Seedpod damage = 40

Everybody is up (minus Radagast and Fluffy)
