"By Sooth, that was deadly? What manner of foul being could have commanded such powerful guardians?"
He looks around and stands guard as much as his tired arms allow him too giving his companions time to take stock of themselves.

"Thank you Cassandra. So much for using the blade to take care of those plants. Perhaps our next plan will better suit our specific training. Do we want to see what it was guarding or what?" nDevere adjusts her clothing so the tears from the recent combat don't leave her exposed. She then hands the chain over to Windom. "It was a good plan but it did highlight some gaps in our training and readiness. Let's take a moment to lick our wounds and maybe discuss an escape protocol. Drasven I will defer to your judgement as to when retreat is the best path to eventual victory."

West Balcony (R6): A large, rectangular block of stone rests on this weather-beaten stone balcony, while ruined wooden benches line the eastern wall under a row of tiny, barred windows above. A stout wooden door sits in the wall near the northern end of the balcony.
How do you proceed? The known entrances to Harrowstone is the west balcony, crumbling main entrance and climbing the east balcony.

"Save your prayers for after our next entanglement. What little wounds I have remaining will mend themselves with a nights rest." nDevere looks over to Windom and winces as memories of her brother flash before her. Windom gets comfortable in front of the locked door squints and jimmies the lock with a dagger. He looks back at the group with a look of disbelief.

If the door opens he will try and peak into the opening, standing to the side of the door frame in the event something crashes the door open.

Western Cellbock (T4)
Row upon row of ten-foot-square prison cells line the walls, each separated from the passing hallway by a series of iron bars fitted with a narrow iron door. Skeletons slump in many of the cells, the bones scattered where they lie and coated with a mixed layer of ancient ashes and fresh mold.

"Stay close but not too close, we don't want to trigger any such traps." Drasven replies as he begins his search carefully.

MESS HALL (T2)
Wooden benches once lined this large hall, but several are now stacked in a jumble and others are overturned in disarray. Weakened by fire, the entire east wall has collapsed away, creating an unintended entryway to a wooden deck beyond. The view of the lake beyond would be beautiful if the silence were not so eerie.
In the southern hallway, you notice the faint sound of mournful music played by a flute.
Roll initiative and declare your action. Everyone has a surprise round. No need to reroll Perception checks.
