Sweet!
And ah sorry, I misread the map and thought I was in the back and couldn't see them.
I may have moved some of you around... LOL. I'm basically letting you guys slide past each other to get in/out, so the first three to post can shoot. Or four, if Christoph levitates into the chamber to make room for someone else. :)
GM Kartari |
Translator no work for that string of words XD
I noticed that what it spits out does not always reverse the same way. I also used synonyms for some words that it couldn't translate. But, it gets the job done. :)
GM Kartari |
Make sure you all are adding your inspire courage bonuses!
And +1 from bless, too!
I'll add a reminder section/spoiler when I post again.
GM Kartari |
Apologies for missing a post last night. I am trying to keep to a weekly schedule. I am tired but will try to post in a bit (otherwise, might be a while). Hopefully my post is legible. If you see a block of random characters conclude my post, it's probably because my forehead hit the keyboard mid-post... :)

No worries, I made it. :) Good night all, time for this GM to get some sleep...

Please remember to check the currently "Active Spell Effects" spoiler in my last post BTW. It's there to remind us of active spell effects each round.
So everyone actually has +3 to attack rolls right now: a +1 morale bonus from Aliseya's bless spell, plus a +2 competence bonus from Istivan's Inspire Courage ability. You also get a +2 to damage rolls from the latter, too!
GM Kartari |
Unclear what kind of action pushing/stepping off the ledge would be but I'm assuming something like a move action. If I can full attack/use rapid shot, subtract 2 from my attack (and use the spoiled roll).
It would be a move action to move horizontally. But you could do full round attacks on successive rounds.
I actually forgot that you'd incur an accumulating -1 penalty to attack rolls with each attack, though (i.e. -1, -2, etc., up to -5 max). Until you spend a full round action to stabilize, which resets the penalty back to -1.
A few -1's (usually) wouldn't hurt you much, though. Also on the bright side, the idea of the grim undead hunter rotating uncontrollably in the air is somewhat amusing to me. ;)
Zelda Lamplighter |
I believe moving forward and changing weapons is all I can do this round. If I am wrong I will fire my bow
GM Kartari |
As Christoph levitated out into the chamber, Zelda could move in and shoot. I'll roll for you when I post soon.
GM Kartari |
BTW, technically the rules would have granted the plant creatures cover from Rhia, Naught, and Zelda (+4 to their AC) as there's stone floor blocking your line of sight from inside the hall. I opted to skip that in this situation, as I can imagine the three of you taking quick turns to step in, look down, and shoot, like a well-oiled machine. ;)
Mutual cover definitely applies now, though, as the basidrond is now in melee range.

It looks like in Jan. I will be our a job. Even though the courts have blocked the mandates, my company which is in Healthcare says the government is requiring all employees to be vaccinated or leave.

I'd like to post as GM on either Monday or Tuesday night the latest this week. It's a holiday weekend I know, but I hope more of you can post by then anyway.
Zelda, I'm sorry to hear about your job situation. Very unfortunately, vaccinations and mandates have become a highly politicized topic here in the US. And I certainly do not intend to make this game the place for political discussion. But I feel compelled to tell you that, unless there's some extraordinarily good reason for you not to do so, I do encourage you to get vaccinated and keep your job. There's a lot of misinformation circulating out there, false claims that the vaccines are dangerous and cause a whole range of side effects and a lot of deaths. If these are the motivation for your resistance, I hope you can believe me when I say that these are definitely false claims. I've personally researched them and, unlike way too many people these days, this is coming from someone who actually understands what legitimate research entails.
Anyway, I hate to see a lovely person lose their job over this, so I really hope it works out for you, whichever decision you make.

Whew, busy week and weekend. I'll update what Christoph finds next time, hopefully tomorrow night.
GM Kartari |
Be back either Tuesday or Wednesday night. I'll assume anyone who doesn't have a chance to post by then climbs down with rope.
GM Kartari |
I'm back, busy week... I'm working on getting a post up soon.

Oh boy. Well, if you're vaccinated, you should be fine. Feel better!

Sorry to hear you're sick Naught. Hope you and yours recover well!
As far as the wall goes, napkin math suggests it'll take Christoph about 3.5 minutes to break it down but Sookie should do it much faster.
GM Kartari |
Assuming she climbs the deadly rope... and it looks like you've assumed wrongly! :o
Unless Naught is feeling up to it (also strong), I think it's up to Christoph now. :)
No need to roll a ton of attack and damage rolls, we can fast forward with an adaption of the take 20 rule (except you're taking 8 on a 1d8). Just confirm that Christoph will continue battering the wall in, or if someone has another idea.
GM Kartari |
Between Christoph and Zelda, you can definitely break down the wall in a few minutes or so. I'll move the wall break in along when I'm back to post, either later tonight or tomorrow the latest.
As for everyone getting into the small hall, it would be a very tight fit to get all six of you squished into a space that fits only three comfortably: it's a 5 ft. x 15 ft. hall, or 3 squares. Not to mention fitting one or more (?) people from behind the wall. You could certainly do that if you'd like, though. But I'd count you all as squeezing, should any checks be needed.
If you want to try Zelda's rope pulling idea to get everyone in the hall, if someone else from below agrees to that plan in a post by the time I do post I'll assume the rest of you also agree and will move that along as well when I post again.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been having QUITE the busy week. I'll post this weekend for sure. I need to hit the bed now, LOL.

Thanks! :)
Posting in a bit. FYI if I don't respond for a few days after tonight, don't be surprised. I'll probably continue being busy til Wednesday, in fact. I expect the barrage of insanity will lift then. One can hope!

So I was hired for a new job that starts in two weeks. I've been both preparing for the new job while starting to make arrangements to gracefully exit the job I'm leaving. I imagine I can keep up here while this happens, but in case I go MIA for longer than usual, fear not! I'll definitely get back to normal sooner or later.
I'll update the game Sunday night.

Congratulations on the new role!
Sorry for my absence as well. I'm working to close multiple projects at once on top of a bunch of personal stuff. Please feel free to DM-PC me as needed for the next 2-3 weeks. Looking at a reply now.
GM Kartari |
Sorry about the absence. The infrequent posting will probably continue over the next few weeks as I prepare and get adjusted with my new job situation.
Posting soon...
GM Kartari |
I threw in Zelda's prone toss for funsies. :D
Now good luck with the rest of them! Muhahaha! ;)
GM Kartari |
Sorry for the long delay. The new job's working out well so far, but I've had a lot of other stuff going on this past week too. I'll be back to post this weekend for sure, hopefully Saturday.
GM Kartari |
I got back here later than expected and really need to hit the bed. But at least I got Ali's post up. Should be a fun conclusion to the round when I return though. :) Will shoot for a GM post tomorrow.
GM Kartari |
Hope everyone's doing well. Hopefully we can get more posts in by Sunday.
GM Kartari |
So sorry, still really busy this past week. I'm going to really try to set time aside this weekend to move the game forward.
