Molly gladly accepts the cloak. "Um, yes... I was um. I was." She let's out a deep sigh "I was out here meeting with a man, then the earth rumbled and this hole appeared. I remember Sara telling me to pull one of these feathers and activate it if I ever find myself falling. I fell like a feather to down here but I couldn't find a way out. I have no idea where he went, can't believe he didn't help me. Now, I should get back home and to my daughter. She's probably worried mom didn't wake up with her."

Molly climbs the rope with some assistance she gets up and out.

Colt copies what he sees.

"Sounds like a right gentleman." Colt replied, shaking his head. "Uhm... yes. She's back at the main hall with Elder Eden. There's been a... thing that happened. She's fine, but she's the reason we came looking for you. She'll be glad to see you safe." He'd need to remember that feather, though... sounded pretty handy!

Studying the wall painting, copying it to some paper, before turning back up and waiting for the rope to come back down so he could climb and rejoin with the others. "Alright! I'm coming up, Brim! Hold fast a bit longer, okay!?"

Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6


"Wait, what do you mean something happened? Oh good Wendy is OK."

Both Molly and Colt climb out.

Brim couldn't here all that was being said at the bottom, but he does see Colt hand Molly his cloak before making the knot for Molly to come up. Brim is shaking slightly, not from cold, but from a slight adrenaline rush caused by fear. He doesn't know what's going to be happening in the virtue like he had recently, but if holes with pictures in them started appearing randomly, what else could happen?

Pulling Molly up isn't hard, but does take longer than he wanted it too. As he helps Molly out of the hole Brim suddenly sees why Colt lent her his cloak. Brim wanted to lend her his cloak as well seeing that Colt's was only cover part of the skin she was showing. But, instead Brim handed Molly his waterskin.

After making sure Molly would drink, Brim cast the rope back into the pit for Colt.

Kneeling next to Molly, Brim reached out with his human hand to place it in her shoulder in comfort. He focused on her face, trying to ignore her revealing outfit. "I'm glad your safe. How did you escape that fall unharmed? Was it the powers that Sara was sure you would develop?"


"These, I got 3 more." She points to the feathers in her hair.

As her brother helped get Molly out of the hole Sarinah stood by with her kit ready. She wasn't sure what shape the woman would be in and wanted to be prepared just in case. That she had survived the fall was nothing short of a miracle and she dreaded the kinds of injuries that she expected to see. That Molly was unharmed when she reached the top was a surprise and Sarinah couldn't believe it.

Sarinah turned her gaze to her brother and signed, What happened? How did she survive, let alone in such goodshape? She looked Molly up and down real quick and noted the cloaks and the feathers in her hair and asked, For that matter, what is she doing in those cloaks?

Brim let's out a slow whistle after being shown the feathers. He'd not seen anything like that before, but getting a hold of some would be useful.

"Luck you had those then!" Brim says to Molly, surprised although trying not to show it. Then he yells down to Colt, "You almost finished down there!?"

Looking up to see Sarinah singing, Brim signs back, The feathers helped slow her fall apparently. The cloaks are for modesty. She was... meeting someone here, but I don't think he ever showed up.

"Just about!" Colt called up, finishing his drawing and grabbing the rope to pull himself out. "So weird! It looks like a bunch of moles in clothes... never heard of that before! Might wanna ask the elders when we get back about these!" Colt shouted as he climbed up.

Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Once to the top, Colt nods, pulling the ropes back up to untie them and wrap them up in loops. "Let's get her back home. Then we can see about heading north, get some help from Camlon."


Colt makes it up the rope. Do you all head back?

Colt helps usher Molly back to the village, ready to get her back to her little girl and get an update from the elders.

On your way back you are ambushed. A hideous, dog-sized flea leaps about on long, gangly legs. The sharp, jagged edges of its jaws greedily clatter for blood. You can see four of these creatures jumping out of the bush and latching onto you with a bite. Knowledge (nature)

Sarinah nodded in understanding at the explanation and looked in curiosity at the explanation. The curiosity turned to one of knowing when she caught a glimpse of what wasn't under the cloaks. Sarinah smiled brightly at Molly and reached out to pat her on the shoulder in sympathy at her being stood up like she was.

How she spotted the things attacking Sarinah would never know but spot them she did. The flees leapt up and came for them but she was just as on the ball as they were. not about to let the closest one get away with this attack she quickly cast a spell and reached out to touch it with a hand now coated in foul black energy.

Well, least he's flat footed so that probably still hits the flea's touch.


Arinah DC 11 Knowledge nature:
These are giant fleas, a small vermin. They can see in the dark. Defensive Abilities DR 5/slashing; Immune disease, mind-affecting effects; Special Attacks disease; You know these creatures can jump really far distances as if charging.

Sarinah touches the flea and inflicts wounds upon it.

Sarinah was pleased that she dropped one so quickly but the others were quickly entering the fray. She quickly signed to Brim, they are resistant to slashing attacks and can give disease if they bite you. She pulled her sling free then and quickly sent a shot flying at the green flee hoping that she could take another one out quickly.

Unfortunately in her haste she didn't quite get the shot in the leather pouch correctly and it fell out before she attacked and she never noticed.

"Whoa!" Colt shouted, before leveling his handy crossbow at the distant purple one and firing at it. One shot. *cha-chink* Second shot. *cha-chink* Handy thinking, installing an auto-loading mechanism on this thing! Made it a little heavy, a bit harder to aim, though...

"Nice one, Sarinah! Brim! One on the left! Squash it!"

Full attack, rapid shot. Two attacks on the purple flea to the southeast. I can't tell if it's within range of point blank shot (I'm assuming it is, judging by the map), but if it isn't, just reduce the attack and damage by -1 each.

Brim made sure to keep an eye on Molly as they were walking, but was also deep in thought. Going to Camlon would be a big step and probably dangerous. And he'd never really been to another town, so he didn't know all that could go wrong. He fingered his hammer as they walked, gaining comfort knowing that he would always be able to be a blacksmith.

As Serina makes a sound, Brim looks up to see large spiders in front of him. No, those weren't spiders, there weren't enough legs.

Brim tried reach for his hammer, but one of the creatures jumped towards him with extraordinary distance.

Hearing Colt shouting at him, Brim lashes out with his fist instead of drawing out his hammer.

Punch @ red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 101d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

As his fist missed the bug, Brim cursed and pulled out his hammer.

Sarinah, seeing the flea leap at Molly, cast a quick spell and stepped up to meat it. Her hand, again glowing with darkblack energy, reached out to touch the flea and channel anti-life into it like she had the other one and gestured for Molly to get behind her.

Colt grimaced as the other flea attacked Sarinah and Molly, before quickly reloading his bow. "Brim! Help Sarinah! I'll get this one!" he said, before aiming his crossbow at the flea and firing a couple more shots at it.

Colt turns and quickly ejects the magazine of bolts in his bow, reaching back to get a new one to load in. "Molly, this way! Brim and Sarinah have this one!" Colt said, latching in the clip and reading it.

Crap, sorry bout that. I had a very busy weekend. If it's not too late my action would have been:
Sarinah saw the thing lash out at Molly with it's beak and tear into her. She knew that time was running out and she had only two options. She could move back and heal Molly or she could try and take the fle down for good. She figured that it woulb be best to try and kill the thing and save any more injuries from occurring. She stepped to put it between her and her brother and lashed out again with her dagger.

Colt stepped up and leveled his bow at the final flea, before firing a pair of shots at the little beast to put it down. Time to end this thing!

Colt caught his breath as he reloaded his crossbow with another clip. "Well, you weren't exactly kitted out for a fight. Not to worry! We've got things well in hand! Let's get you home to your little girl."

Colt moved around to quickly retrieve as many bolts as he could before nodding to the others, leading the way home. "Let's regroup with the elders and get everyone northward. Then we can start planning on striking back against the Dark Dragons."

Brim examines the fleas, curious how they got so big and slides his hammer back into its strap on his belt.

"You haven't a weapon Molly. We wouldn't expect you to hit these things with your fist." Brim smiles at Molly, looking up from the bug and standing. [b]"Besides, these buggers are nasty. I think heading northward soon is a good idea if these attacking us."


"Yeah, I didn't really expect to run into anything. This place is usually so calm." She looks up and can see the remaining smoke from the burnt village making its way to the sky. "Oh gosh, let's hurry." She starts to rush to the village.

Sarinah breathed a sigh of relief as the last flee dropped and quickly turned to Molly. She gestured and then reached out to touch the woman's face with the pale golden radiance that enveloped her hand.

As you all arrive you can see the village is more calm and everyone seems to be gathered at the center. They are strapping on backpacks, loading carts and prepping horses to pull carts.

Councilor Phanz approaches you. Usually his feathers are bright and vibrant but today they seem dim. "We are so happy to see you Molly, Wendy is over there with Polla." Molly rushes off to get Wendy and you can see them reunite.

Before any of you can react all the council members approach you. You don't see Sara. Marnate half smiles before he speaks, "I have a feeling you know now. That something is different. Tell me, what do you know?"

Colt smiled as he holstered his crossbow on his back, watching Wendy hug her mom. "See? Told you we'd bring her back!" Colt called out, before folding his arms at the elders. His grin diminished a little. "...just wish I could be so confident about our next step."

When asked about what they knew, Colt frowned, shaking his head a bit. "Not much... Sara left us a note before she turned us all to stone. She called us 'Light Dragons.' Said we were the last. Sounds a bit... odd to me. I don't... feel like a dragon. Do you guys?" he asked, looking at Brim and Sarinah with a cocked brow.

"She told us to get everyone to Camlon in the north. After that... we three move on to a place called Nanai. Need to look for something called the... uh, what was it? The 'Earth Key?'" Colt huffed and shook his head. "She said you could tell us more, but... I don't see how a key is going to stick it to the Dark Dragons."


"So it must be true then. The dark dragons are back. Sara must not have had time to share this information with us. You said Sara wants you to get the Earth Key?" Marnate begins pacing.

Elder Eden looks at you all with concern, "If Sara told you to get the Earth Key, then we are in big trouble. The Earth Key was used to lock the Goddess Tyr away. There are seven of them locked away and guarded. She must be worried about them. Who would want to let her free, she would destroy everything."

Polla follows up with, "Perhaps you should head to Camlon before us to let them know we are arriving. We will only slow you down. Sara trusts you three and we will too."
