Brim Kether |
Brim translates the conversation for Sarinah.
"Us as dragons? I thought Sarinah was the only dragon? Maybe that's why you don't feel like one Colt. We don't have any special powers like Sarinah does. As for getting this key...Are we supposed to protect it or destroy it? Because the latter is sounding nice right now." Brim fingered his hammer. "Will you be okay if we go ahead of you? I know we're not the best fighters, but it seems to be getting more dangerous out there."
Brim looked to Colt and Sarinah for their thoughts. He wasn't sure about this whole thing, but he wouldn't leave his sister to face it on her own if she was determined to go through with it.
Sarinah |
Sarinah listened to what Brim translated for her and was startled at the thought that she was a dragon. She supposed it made a certain amount of sense but still. She signed back to him and said, You are my brother, it means you must be a dragon too. She considered a moment and then signed some more, In fact we are all orphans from that war aren't we? It makes sense we might all be dragons somehow or another.
As Brim asked if they were to protect or destroy the key Sarinah smacked the back of his head with two fingers and signed, If these keys seal away such a destructive power wouldn't hey have been destroyed after locking her away? They probably can't be destroyed.
Colt R. Warwick |
"I dunno about me, though... I just build things. I guess that's pretty special, though... helped give Brim an arm again. So... not too shabby!" Colt crossed his arms, thinking a bit. Sarinah had a point... if the keys could be destroyed, why wouldn't they once they locked up Tyr. Maybe... it didn't work like that?
'One step at a time, Colt.' Sara's words rang in his mind, before nodding. "Doesn't matter if they can be destroyed or not. Our first step should be to get them. If the dark dragons want them, that should be reason enough. We've seen what happens when they run unchecked." Colt said, motioning around at the destroyed village. "But before we can get the key, we need to get to Camlon. Tell the magistrates we're coming and what's going on. Then we can focus on the keys... one step at a time."
Colt nodded, lowering his arms and looking at the others. "Dragons or not, we can't let the dark dragons run things as they please. We need to stop them... let's get moving."
Brim Kether |
Rubbing the back of his head, Brim smiled at Sarinah. Fair point. But Colt is right. Get the key, then figure out what to do with it.
"Well if you're a dragon, maybe you can make my arm a little more combat ready." Brim laughed. "Let's go to Camlon and sort things out."
GM Deadly Secret |
Brim shakes off the sickness by a good work out as the walk is long.
An entire day passes as you travel without incident. The evening arrives and you think it's a good time to set up camp.
Is there anything you would like to do before/during/after camping?
There won't be any encounters, but you may not know that until morning. You know you will arrive in Camlon late after noon just before evening tomorrow.
Colt R. Warwick |
Colt set things up for the night, offering to take first watch as he set things up for the night. As he did, a concerning thought hit him as he was working. "You don't think the dark dragons would've attacked Camlon too, do you? I mean... they were looking for us specifically, right?" A part of him fretted over the matter... they were on a peninsula, with Camlon along the route. What if they got there and... there was nobody to help them? Or worse, what if Dark Dragons occupied the kingdom?
"One step at a time... " Colt muttered to himself. They'd get to Camlon first... THEN, decide what to do there. They'd get there by late day tomorrow... and not without a good night's rest.
Nothing from me!
Brim Kether |
Brim offered to take second watch. He hoped to be able to see some of the common night animals that he didn't see often. And hoped to let Sarina get as much uninterrupted sleep as possible.
Nothing from me!
Sarinah |
Sarinah found the trip to Camlon, thus far, to be very boring, and she was quite glad of this fact. When they set up camp for the night she was relieved not to have the first watch and went into a deep sleep through the first two watches. When Brim woke her for the last watch Sarinah rose without complaint and took up her place keeping an eye out for trouble. Unlike her brother or Colt Sarinah didn't have as much trouble seeing in the darkness and saw any number of animals but no signs of trouble.

With little more she can do at this range Sarinah waited, if the snakes were aggressive and attacked she'd be ready to attack them or heal her friends, if they didn't then she was willing to let them pass by.
Brim Kether |
Brim runs to the nearest snake and pulls his hammer out along the way, hoping to get in between them and Sarinah.
Sorry that took a bit! Lots of stuff at work happened all at once. But I'm back now!

Shoot! Sorry for being slow, my little sister's doctors have been hanging us on by a few threads, so... it's left me a bit discombobulated.
Colt ached a little as the snake bite left him pained a bit. But he'd be fine... he had to be! Stomping at the snake to move it into a better position, Colt jabbed his blade into the ground, hoping to cut off the head and end it! "What's with the animals around here!?"
