I'm good with the pacing so far Cortez. BTW, I will post at least once a day - usually during the evening EST (GMT -5). I will check in more often if the story moves that fast.

Just to let you guys know - I'm waiting on Sonya, so I think I'll give her until tomorrow 12pm EST before I invite someone else in.
Posting once a week isn't fair on the rest of you, so I want someone who's reliable. I did put that as a requirement in my opening post, but ah well. It's a shame, but still.
Will move on with the story tomorrow/Sunday. :)
Sonya Black
Sorry about the disappearing here. My internet went out and just came up last night; and then I spent all of last night playing Diablo 3 and forgot about this thread. A very bad mistake.
If you need to pick someone else, I'm alright with that - I read your requirements when I made the thread, etc. - but I'll be working on a post just in case. I'll start it within the hour, after breakfast, and will post it if you give me the green light to stay. (If you don't, I understand completely.)

If your internet was down for a whole week (I honestly do find that hard to believe), then that sucks, but in light of not hearing from you for a whole week and opening up recruitment once more, it'd be unfair on the other people who are still interested and have tweaked their character in your absence.
If you had have let me known you wouldn't be available for a week, that would have been fine, but the decision I've come to is something I hope you can respect.
I won't be including Sonya in the campaign at the minute and will be taking one of the two other players on, but in the event they drop out, due to the nature of your character, I will be looking to bring you back if you're interested whenever that time may be. :)

Death pretty much awaits you if you move about in the unlit areas of Westcrown at night, so where do you go/remain at night?
The hours Trendan moves about makes it very hard for him to be contacted on either the Starday or Sunday.
4pm Fireday, 17th Gozran, 4709AR
Not much of a drinker, but always one to keep up with the thoughts of the citizens of Westcrown, a mysterious looking woman with black and purple armour is occasionally spotted in some of the more civilised Taverns dotted around the Chelaxian town.
You've seen her a couple of times before, but have never approached her, but on this day she watches as you order yourself a drink at Reynard's Drinkery - one of your favourite taverns in the Rego Laina District.
As you watch your surroundings thinking about your troubled past and the hopeful future of what's to come, the hooded and armoured woman gets up out from her seat and makes her way over to the bar next to you.
She doesn't give you eye contact and appears to be a bit pre-occupied with something, but asks the bartender for a small glass of water.
She quickly downs this and leaves without saying a word, but as you turn back to face the bar, you spot a note tucked under her glass.
Curious, you slide the glass aside, picking up the dirty and creased note, but oddly, it appears to have your name on it.
As you open it up, careful of the bartender and other peering eyes surrounding you, it reads; "Trendan, I've overheard your plea and wish to help you discover the truth. All I ask in return is that you come alone to Vizio's Tavern at around 4pm this Sunday, 18th Gozran.
There's something I'd like to share with you and I believe we can help one another. I trust you'll keep this to yourself and will explain my interest in you further upon your arrival.
Signed, a concerned citizen."
Let's keep this in here until we can get you with the group. :)

Interesting and curious. He thought to himself as he read the note sliding it into a pocket and then glancing about the place for the beautiful woman again. He knew he had seen her before someplace for the life of him he couldnt place her though. He didnt think she was interested in a tryst, though the gods above knew it wouldnt be the first time some pretty perhaps even en-nobled lass had sent her interest through a discreet note. He mentally calculated his coin, he should be fine if he didnt take a job til Sunday as long as he wasnt too free with his coin.
knowledge local: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
for knowledge about vizios
He ordered a meal and some wine, running his worries and fears through his head. He didnt think the woman was a spy for the hellknights or anyone else, they would have just walked in and arrested him for questioning. His mentor had always mentioned he had friends about the city, though he had said Trendon wasnt far enough along in faith with the goddess to meet them... perhaps they had found him with the sudden disapearance and arrest of his mentor? He would certainly have to show up at this Vizio's.

New post/posts will be up later, so if you're all on and responding I'll get a couple of posts for you, but I just want to let you know I'll be absent from tomorrow until possibly Monday as I'm going to visit my girlfriend for a long weekend.
I've got all of next week off though, so I'll be a lot more active for you as I feel the pace needs to pick up again.
Thanks guys and I hope you're all still enjoying this.
Any feedback to make things better will be taken as compliments and not insults, so fire away! :)

Patiently waiting....but Keil may get up and help himself to seconds...

Sorry for the delay guys. I was utterly exhausted after all of the walking and travel I did with my girlfriend over the weekend, so I'm working on the next post now, and hopefully things will be moved forward, but at the same time I don't want to move too fast for roleplay, so ultimately the pace is up to you guys. :)
I hope you're all prepared!

I have always been under the assumption that while a lot of religions are 'tolerated' in cheliax that worship of Milani isnt one of the okayed ones. Her whole fighting against tyranny CG ness stick i would imagine is frowned upon. Am I correct in that assumption?

just a little preheads up April 2nd-5th my WoW guild gets together for a big ol party that well, yours truly is the cook for. Since its held in a state park in tennessee with very spotty intenet (and even phone) connection my posting during the 3 to 5th will be spotty at best. It literally snuck up on me this year or I would have mentioned something sooner. Sorry for any inconvienances. feel free to dm pc me. Super sorry for mentioning it so late.
Trendon Razner
I feel like its short notice.. if my work schedule hadnt came out yesterday i would have forgot, for some reason my brain had it that april was after may... whihc its totally not and no im not that silly. somehow mess that up though eh?
Keil
Do you want initiatives? Or wait for them the break the door down?
Cortez, The Deathless Gantzer
Neither actually. I know your movement speeds so if you're all following Janiven, I just need to know how far you can get moving stealthily each turn...unless you guys no longer care about being stealthy, but yea, I'm going to be rolling damage on the structure each round.
Though, if you want to roll initiative feel free. I just haven't asked as it's not necessary right now.
Trendon Razner
*shakes fist* the first charector in ages i didnt buy a set or two of caltrops for. I would imagine if we are moving trying to avoid being tracked or found, then would we would try to be as stealthy as possible. Well till that is no longer a good option. *lawls* no worries! how many rounds does our fear effect last?
Cortez, The Deathless Gantzer
Ha, like I mentioned in the gameplay section - For as long as you're here.
But yea, remaining stealthy is half movement. In order to escape, the movement economy will take you all two rounds from where you are. One round of movement to follow Janiven and a full round to descend the long ladder beyond.
Cortez, The Deathless Gantzer
Man, I'm disappointed in you Araraxus! You failed the save, but you're still acting brave. It's not really fair on everyone else who's roleplaying it, but do as you will I guess.
I'll be posting again when everyone else has had a chance to reply. You still all need to remember you're a rounds distance away from the secret door (it's about 20ft away). To progress through it would take another round (even taking double movement into account), but there are reasons for that.

BRAVE SIR ROBIN is only a click away...
Cortez, The Deathless Gantzer
Haha, it wasn't a dig, I was just having a hard time believing your character was afraid at all so wondered if there was much point rolling an intimidate. :p
You get your immunity to fear very soon though, and also, I've never even played a Paladin myself, so looked the Class up the other day. Looks like a strong melee type!
I'll initiate round 3 once Keil has posted.
