One of the cards imbeds itself in the creatures face it scurries backward crashing into a wall before seizing for a moment and then it falls silent and motionless to the wooden floor. Green ooze starts to bleed from the gash in its face causing a small pool to form before continuing on through the spaces between the boards to the floor below.
I take a closer look at Kel. Checking to see what condition he's in.
well, you find him at least in mostly in one piece however it appears the creature ate through his chest into most of his organs. It looks like he gave no resistance. He is, obviously, dead, Most likely for an hour or 2.
"Well... That was unexpected, and... tragic..." I say looking over the corpse. I then quickly spin and turn to the group again. "Believe it or not, I planned for this."
"And what's your plan?! How could you have possibly foreseen our ally getting his innards devoured? Please, do tell."
"Okay, well it wasn't exactly THIS, but I got engag--" I catch myself as I almost slip out an word I probably shouldn't mention just yet. "I mean I made an arrangement for this kind of thing."
I pull off my left glove and take a look at ring on my finger. He really knows what I like when it comes to jewelry... Still as beautiful as the day he gave it to me.
I look at Anette and smile. "Loverboy, it's time to come back to me, I need you."
I appear in front of Seifer in a brilliant flash of light, that dissipates just as quickly in a reclined position before cascading to the ground.
A gold cup I was holding goes flying across the room before trying to get my barrings as my eyes dart from person to person "what?! Where am-" my words are cut short as my eyes fall on Seifer "Woman!!! Where have you brought me?!" I say in a fit of rage pushing myself to my feet.
"I brought you to your favorite place in all of Sanctuary! Right by my side." I giggle out to Gilgamesh.
I take a moment to look around. My mood not changing in the slightest as I take more time to study where I am and who is around "what, in this hole? I can think of at least five... well no four other places that don't include a half eaten body." he says making a strong hand gesture to the dead man on the bed.
"Maybe, but do those places have me?" I giggle out again.
I give a long sigh as I lift my head and caress my brow "N-no I suppose they don't have someone of your....caliber." I say as I make a gesture toward the closest chair to me, making it levitate to me until I can sit down. "What have you called me for? I take it I am not here because you wanted to see if it worked, though I wouldn't put it past your curiosity to waste something so unique."

I grunt at the newcomer and say "At least he isn't a dragon!"
After saying that I turn and walk out of the room heading downstairs and towards the front door.
"At least? I'll have you know that I-" I cut myself off as I notice the man in golden armor leave the room. i stand upraising my hand and levitating the chair I was sitting on to throw it at the door "Curr!" I turn back to Seifer scowling "I swear to the gods I'll kill him!"
I hear the crash against the wall/door area, and I chuckle to myself. I head outside and walk up to the dragon outside. "So uh, fun news, we just gained another hothead. Bad news is, Seifer hasn't paid Him to not kill all of us yet."
"Gilly, calm down. He's a friend." I say patting Gilgamesh on the shoulder.
He sighs looking at roland, and then looks up at the ceiling overhead "Well i'm sure we can handle whatever he tries. we're both capable."
I scoff at the door, but make no move to remove the hand before recollecting my thoughts. "Then tell me why I am here. To replace one of these dead 'friends'? Insufferable as they are."
"Also, we lost someone, that weird one that came by late last night. Got his chest ripped open during the night by some creature. Put a hole in my leg and really got into Seifer's face. If you want to go to an agitated room, I'd suggest to go up there now." I stick up post next to the door with the Dragon. Too tired from the fight to be prejudiced against Gregory
His eyes go to the ground in front of the two of them. "It's a shame to have a comrade die, even if we didn't really know him. I doubt it was a painless death, being eaten that is. I think that I'll wait i'm sure they don't need me in the situation"
"I beg to differ, I believe it was fairly painless, they had a paralyzing poison in their stinger. I still can't feel my leg."
"And you're still walking? impressive. He simply adds
"I have no idea what it was either, someone else will figure it out"
I walk straight up to Gil and grab him by the chin, turning his head left and then right, getting a good look at him. "Hmm.... I wonder why you'd go for a girl like Seifer." I release his face and fake an epiphany. "Ah, must've been drunk that night. Fair enough. Either way, the dead man's currency is yours for the taking; welcome to the group." I leave the room and head downstairs.
I go dead quiet as my chin is grabbed by Anette as if in shock, and the more my features are analyzed the more angry I become. As she leaves I step away from Seifer and reach into a portal pulling out a long sword letting it hover just above my hand as I poise to throw it "You presume to touch me, let alone think I have need for money!? I'll take your filthy hand for that!" I say as I enchant my sword with Telekinetic Push before flinging it tip first at the door Anette just left through.
I laugh at Gilgamesh's temper tantrum. "Gilly, you really need to get over your issues with being touched by other people. I mean, you don't hate it when I do it." I say as I walk towards the door. "Now come on, I've already given this filthy place enough of my money in repairs" I say with a sly smile to Gil as I turn the corner.
I scoff to Seifers words before summoning my sword back to me and sheathing it in its portal. You're an exception." I say under my breath as I look at her cards before following her out the shattered door.
With a yawn gregory leaps and lets his wings catch the air as he ascends from the porch area of the bar and perches himself atop the nearest and highest unoccupied space that can hold him. "Hey Roland I know you hate me but let me know when they come out i want to get a look at the road ahead."
"When they come out I'll send an arrow your way, I'll be sure to miss this time. On the chance you spot something this close to town, bring it back this way, I'll be sure most of my arrows land in whatever is chasing you."
I lean against the wall by the door and pull out a rag, gently cleaning my bow.
"Good to know" He chuckles to himself and starts to look out on the horizon for anything that seems amiss.
I continue to track the dragon as it flies around, pulling my bow into my hand and nocking an arrow, waiting.
I step outside by Gregory and Roland. "Well, I think we've got a nice little rag-tag group going here. We'll be setting out as soon as Seifer and that pompous dolt make it down here." I lean against the wall and check my map.
I maintain my focus on the dragon. "Well when hot head one, and hothead two come out, I'll bring the dragon back."
It dawns on me as I walk around the corner that no one grabbed Kel's Sovereigns. I turn around and brush past Gil as I do and quickly say to him, "Grab some food on the way out, but we apparently have to leave now. I'm going to do the same, but there's something else I need to grab." I walk into Kel's room and search for the bag of sovereigns.
I glare at Seifer to her words, but feels its to early in the morning to want to kill everyone before levitating my cup and throwing it into a portal as well. I walk down stairs to see what food or drink might be quickly accessible or if any hands can fetch it for me.
the barmaiden has been behind the bar during the whole ordeal itseems as she just starts looking up at what was happening. "uhm... what happened? i heard fighting."
@ Gregory: there are towers at each of the gates on the east and west side of the fort and the inn itself are all about 2 stories tall.
@ Seifer: you find them relatively quickly in a backpack placed at the end of the bed.
I grab the sovereigns and head out the door and downstairs again. I approach the bar shortly after Gil's arrival.
I wave my hand lazily "Nothing. some man is half eaten upstairs." I walk closer to the bar looking around in mild disgust. "My... not sure what to call her at the moment, needs food. What ever you can grab quickly will do."
"I'm your betrothed! Duh!" I laugh as I walk up and place my hand on Gil's shoulder.
I then turn to the barmaided and smile. "Just something quick, and sweet if able. I've got to eat it on the go."
"h-hold on one moment" her tone becoming less afraid and more accusatory "half-eaten upstairs?, Now i don't know why you're all here but, I'm not cleaning THAT up! And how did that even happen? you'll have to deal with all that before I serve you anything!"
I sigh to both the barmaid and Seifer, his almost pail skin giving a soft blush to Seifer's words "And yet you vanish on me not long after, only to drag me with you later." I say before turning for the door giving a wave as I make my way outside "Deal with this maid. I will not be asked to go lower then I have already...lover."
"As much as dealing with dead and disemboweled bodies is something I do often, just bring me the food and I'll pay ten times the price to have you let me leave promptly, we're in a rush.
I pay no attention as goldilocks walks outside. Watching the dragon with my full intent.
The barmaiden seems to not like the the idea of dealing with all the affairs that having a body show up in your inn cause, but the idea of 10 times pay seems to win her over. She gives a huff "Fine 50 gold and i'll stock you up with a few weeks worth of preserved rations."
I take 55 sovereigns from Kel's old bag. "Here you go and a ten percent tip for you as well. Sorry for the hassle."
After a shortwhile she comes back carrying 186 trail rations. "pleasure" she says as she starts counting the gold coins trying to forget what she's going to need to do.
I take the food and head outside to meet everyone, munching on a trail ration. "It's not the worst quality I've ever had, but it's definitely not great." I say as I get out the door. I look at Anette, "Are we ready to go?"
I roll up my map. "Yeah, I think so. I don't suppose we'll be returning here anytime soonish though. We're heading in that direction for quite some time." I point east-northeast and then stretch and begin walking.
"I'll call the dragon back from scouting then."
I pull my bowstring back and take careful aim. Focusing my inner strength into this one shot.
Gregory see's the arrow fly past him harmlessly, and he turns around and begins to descend to the group. He lands softly and furls his wings back up "As far as i could tell there was nothing, but there was a good amount of wind getting in my eyes. " He adjusts the chain belt on his waist, and notices the new addition. "Ah you must be the replacment! it's a shame our previous group member died before we got really underway it is good we happened to have someone to take his spot. I'm gregory."
