Heading to the east, you go through a few winding tunnels before coming to a small cavern. The stench of decay flows freely from this cavern littered with bits of broken glass, rotting pieces of paper, and other unusable detritus. The body of a male dhampir lies facedown toward the back of the cavern. There are also three shambling gillmen zombies who make the bloke in the pool seem like a proper host.

Party up!
Tarra Spindlethorn |
Still carrying the blue light, but unable to see why everybody stopped, Tarra squirms her way forward a little.
Wrinkling her nose at the smell of decay, she draws a flask of alchemist fire from her pack.
" Smells like deaders. Be careful."
Kushiel. |
"Pull back! Line up where I am and funnel them in so we can fight them one at a time!
Kushiel steps back and readies and action to hit any that come into range.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
GM Sior |
As everyone waits for the zombies to come to them, Maldrek pushes past towards the nearest zombie and punches it, his fist sinking through its putrid flesh and out its back, dripping in ichor.
The zombie looks down at the wound before attempting to slam into the tiefling.
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
The other two zombies converge on the brawler.
Party up!
GM Sior |
Maldrek knocks the head off the zombie! (barely...)
Leena throws a ball of acid which sizzles on the undead flesh.
Tarra Spindlethorn |
" Grr. Now I can't use my flask. So much for tactics...."
Tarra puts the flask away and switching the torch to her off hand, draws her sickle. She then steps into the passageway in front of Leena.
Kushiel. |
sigh ... "Or yes, we can continue the long standing tradition of groups of Pathfinders fighting as individuals seemingly oblivious to everyone around them ... Pathfinders, army of one!!", yells Kushiel running forward as he allows the inner rage to overcome him.

Current AC: 14
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Attack/slashing: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 6) + 9 = 17
Kushiel brings is greatsword slashing down through the undead abomination, giddy with excitement, shaking with adrenaline Kushiel roars, "Arrrg ... another! I want more!"
Pathfinders should all wear >>this symbol<< :)
GM Sior |
Kushiel moves forward in a frenzy and cleaves the zombie in twain!
Scarvane is up!
GM Sior |
Scarvane's sling bullet flings wide of the target!
The zombie slams into the brawler!
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Party up!
Kushiel. |
Kushiel babbles unintelligibly, spittle flying in all directions as he steps forward while swinging the sword in an upward arc at the zombie.

GM Sior |
And Kushiel flays the final zombie before it can slam into the tiefling any more.
Out of combat!
Feel free to Perceive the room.
Kushiel. |
After a couple of rounds of fatigue Kushiel will search the room
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
"Empty ... nothing here ... let's move on."
Tarra Spindlethorn |
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Awed by the rage and violence of her companions, Tarra quietly and meekly peeks into the room, glances around and withdraws.
"OK. Moving on? After you?"
We are obviously not meant to find anything here...XD
GM Sior |
As everyone looks about the room, they take inventory of the dhampir's belongings. Most has been trampled and destroyed, but there are some bits worth noting: an amulet of natural armor +1 and a pearl of power (1st-level spell).
With Maldrek's assistance, Leena also finds a secret door carved into the stone wall. With a little pressure in the right place, it swings open revealing a narrow passageway.
Tarra Spindlethorn |
" OhmygoshIcan'tbelieveImissedthat!!!!"
Hustling forward, Tarra inspects the area, slapping at Maldrek as she approaches.
" Next time, let me look at it first! It may have been trapped..."
She then inspectes the entrance...
Taking 20 for a 27 search. Need to remember to just do that instead of a quick glance...
GM Sior |
Looking again, Tarra sees that the door should have been obvious to one with her skill set. Slightly embarrassed, she admits that there are no traps.
Looking down the tunnel, you see that it is mostly natural and, as such, does not go in very many straight lines. Its breadth fluctuates from squeezing space to enough room to stretch your arms. The twists and turns make it difficult to try to map, but one thing is certain: You can hear a voice coming through the stone walls. “As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!”
It's Janira! As you continue, the sound of combat joins in the inspiring shouts from the bard, so you must be getting close to an exit!
Seconds later, you turn a corner to find yourself at an opening leading out of the caves and into a clearing. This clearing is currently occupied by two creatures: a minotaur and a halfling. To the north of them is a shallow creek running across the area (read: difficult terrain), and to the northwest is a 20 foot high outcropping in the rock. The western side of the creek bears a simple log bridge across it.
Janira, looking bruised and bloodied, focuses on the minotaur who is not quite as bruised and bloodied as she. Now's your time to jump into the fray and earn your keep as Pathfinders!

Janira steps back and tries to smack the minotaur's axe from its hands! "Tries" being the operative word.
1d20 ⇒ 19
Tarrs, Maldrek, and Leena are up!
Tarra Spindlethorn |
" Oh! Janira, be careful..."
Tarra will drop her sickle, Draw her bow and fire at the Minotaur.
attack with range penalty: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 2 = 2
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
And because this crappy dice roller loves me so much she apparently fires straight up. Watch your heads!
GM Sior |
The minotaur steps forward towards the halfling, swinging its axe AND trying to use its horns!
Axe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8
Axe: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7
Gore: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
The axe thankfully misses, but the beasts horns impale the halfling's side, dealing a mortal wound. She somehow still stands!
Scarvane and Kushiel are up!
GM Sior |
Stepping back, Janira draws out a small pouch to throw at the beast! She misses dreadfully!
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Tarra, Maldrek, Leena!
GM Sior |
If you want to confirm that crit threat, Leena, I won't stop you. ;-)
GM Sior |
In the interest of moving along
Tarra grumbles as her archery skills come into question.
Maldrek rushes in to punch the beast, leaving himself open to a swing from it as he closes in. The minotuar slashes the axe across the tiefling's chest, but Maldrek still stands to punch the thing!
Axe!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
Leena then moves in with her blade, hoping for a serious strike against the beast. She just barely gets it as the bard's rantings at the beast inspire her to do greater things!
Leena Confirmation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
The minotaur then tries to retaliate further against these pesky newcomers who seek to interrupt his bloodsport before stepping away slightly to prevent getting into an unfortunate position.
Axe on Maldrek: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8 miss
Axe on Leena: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9 miss
Gore on Janira: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 terrible miss
Scarvane and Kushiel are up!
Scarvane |
Scarvane moves forward. This beast shall sleep
Use slumber on the minotaur DC 14 Will save
Little chance but it is about all I got. Coupe de Grace him if it works though lol
GM Sior |
Oh, I hate this hex... One-shotted the BBEG of the last 3-7 I ran. Totally anticlimactic. Here it might be more needed, hahaha. Well, here goes nothin'!
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
The beast lumbers forward and comes crashing to the ground!
Reminder, CDG not an auto-kill if it makes its fort save.
Scarvane |
Maldrek-since the Minotaur is asleep and helpless you can coup de grace it. Meaning it is an auto critical hit you just roll critical damage and it has to pass a DC 10 + damage dealt fort save or die
Kushiel. |
"Don't wake him! uh ..."
If he's waking up, then rage and swing.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 = 15 (+ for prone?
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 5) + 9 = 17
If he's asleep, he'll stay 10 feet back and let someone CDG (since he can't move and do such.)
