With Vash, we'd have five--archer ranger, cavalier, hunter, bard, and swashadin; four of us can use CLW wands, so healing shouldn't be too much of a problem. We're a pretty solid team from a combat perspective, esp. with the bard backup.

Would it be better to bring a frontline ranger with an animal companion? Seems you've only got the Paladin. Might another meatshield type be a better compliment to the support bard and ranger/wiz?

OOC, I suspect the scenario is going to give us some bonus for skill checks around town, so I'm fine with that, but logically, it doesn't really make sense. If I'm the pirates, anything that seems out of the ordinary, like a crew that is way too soft for a "major shipment" would be a red flag.

With Las' life on the line, is anyone opposed to some table talk on a course of action? As a GM, I never discourage it, but I don't want to ruffle any feathers.

Is there a reason we are running this with 4? I hadn't realized until um...right now...that we are.
This puts us at a pretty big disadvantage, and we're very subject to bad dice rolls.
Even with about the best start I could contribute (a boat of blinded pirates and a nauseated croc) I have a bad feeling about this. I'm almost down myself, and if we are down to two players, we could very well wipe.

Yea, the 4 person scaling for this encounter is 1 less of each mook and the crocodile has 1 less buff. Tali is the MVP of this encounter. For most of this encounter you were just fighting a druid and her class features because of Tali.

Tali should move to R21. That'll give her cover from further ranged attacks and she'll be able to heal Las from there.

Truk's on board to wrestle a crocodile but it's nauseated for another three rounds. Assuming we're boarded next round, I'd rather deal with the active threats first.

Sounds good. Let's just make sure it doesn't get another op to bite and grab. I would think that IC the party can see how lethal and effective that grab is by the way it rag dolled Las :).
@Morvius - I think you're right to focus on the humans for which you have an advantage. Pick off the weaker ones so we have the advantage in numbers.

Just wanted to make sure the druid can actually fly 40'...Wild Shape says it's the same as casting Beats Shape I which says:
Quote: When you cast this spell, you can assume the form of any Small or Medium creature of the animal type. If the form you assume has any of the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: climb 30 feet, fly 30 feet (average maneuverability), swim 30 feet, darkvision 60 feet, low-light vision, and scent. I've been told that means the druid doesn't actually get the movement of the animal, but is limited to what's listed.
I ask because I'm thinking it will make a difference in what I do. Also curious if Truck hit.
