Fun fact: Magical Marketplace, the new Player Companion book, has the feat "Equipment Trick, Anvil" in it. Great book.
Tsusuko looks at the tool. "Do... we hit the anvil... or... something...?"

Does anyone know who Folgrit is? Another Dwarven god perhaps? Ezrek begins pacing the room. The phrase says on the second strike, so perhaps you need to hit the anvil twice? He walks over and retrieves the hammer and strikes the anvil twice.
DM Amazing Red
Religion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Ezrek takes one of the three hammers and hits the anvil twice. Nothing happens.
“The second swing drove the Dark Smith below, hiding in shame and exiled from the sacred halls.”“An ironclad oath is forever kept within the walls of the city she is sworn to keep. Only with the final strike is the duty fulfilled.”
“Ripped from mother Folgrit’s womb, constantly beaten as I’m burning. I become a bloodthirsty killer until my gray hair turns to red with age.”
Ezrek Filosten

Ezrek's frowns as his guess does not work. He retrieves the other hammer and hit each hammer once on the anvil. Hitting the Oath-keeper last. I not sure this us going to work. The last phrase mentions grey hair turning red with age, like rust. Erin, didn't you say there were some rusty tools down in that pit?
DM Amazing Red
Ezrek takes each one of the hammers and strikes them on the anvil. After he does so, everything goes quiet for a moment. Then a cerulean fog seeps into the area from the floor and walls and coalesces into a spectral map of Koldukar. Accompanying this mist is a spectral figure, one of a dwarven woman from ages past.
“Welcome. Friends of Koldukar have not visited this chamber for many ages. You have found the hammers I hid and struck them true, so I am here to guide your way. What is it that you seek?”
DM Amazing Red
A twisted bridge that once must have been an engineering wonder now slants precariously over a vast chasm. Thirty-feet wide and supported by immense stone columns, the bridge extends into darkness. However, forty feet along its length, a section of the bridge has collapsed onto the chasm’s unseen floor. After a ten-foot gap, another section of the causeway slants dangerously against its stone support; beyond it lies an even longer gap before the bridge resumes, not far from a stone landing.
After a few jumps and/or some balancing, you come to a sixty-foot-wide set of doors that is built into the solid stone wall. Geometric designs cover much of the doors’ surface, and deep grooves that might have once held metal inlays are now empty. A smaller set of doors better suited to everyday use is built into the larger portal. As soon as you get within 10 feet a voice bellows out.
“Ripped from mother Folgrit’s womb, constantly beaten as I’m burning. I become a bloodthirsty killer until my gray hair turns to red with age. What am I?”
Technically I copy/pasted this one prematurely hence the deja vu.

Ezrek translate the disembodied voice. “Ripped from mother Folgrit’s womb, constantly beaten as I’m burning. I become a bloodthirsty killer until my gray hair turns to red with age. What am I?” Ezrek thinks for a minute and says. "Iron?"
DM Amazing Red
Ezrek utters the word and before he can second guess himself, the doors open. Shining columns, exquisite statuary, and elaborate dioramas of battle scenes adorn this majestic hall. The figures stand in small niches in the walls and range from dwarven infantry to mounted cavalry riding all manner of beasts. Gold filigree, metallic plates, and ornate steel inlays decorate every aspect of the grand hall. Pristine marble floors run the chamber’s length, and halfway down the hall, twin flights of stairs sweep up to an elevated walkway. Orbs of magical light rest in sconces along the walls of the chamber, and at its far end a large stone stele is visible.
When you get within 20 feet of the staircase, two of the larger statues turn their heads to look at you. In a grinding voice they speak.
"Speak to us the riddle of stone."
Ezrek Filosten

Ezrek translates again. Well, the statue says, "Speak to us the riddle of stone." Any ideas? Ezrek looks around for clues to the riddle.

DR 10/Adamantine and Bludgeoning and Cursed Wound(Ex)(See below)
The damage a clay golem deals doesn't heal naturally and resists magical healing. A character attempting to use magical healing on a creature damaged by a clay golem must succeed on a DC 26 caster level check, or the healing has no effect on the injured creature.

Ezrek tells the party what he knows about the clay golems.
DM Amazing Red
A move earth spell drives the golem back 120 feet and deals 3d12 points of damage to it (no save).
A disintegrate spell slows the golem (as the slow spell) for 1d6 rounds and deals 1d12 points of damage (no save).
An earthquake spell cast directly at a clay golem stops it from moving on its next turn and deals 5d10 points of damage (no save).
Any magical attack against a clay golem that deals acid damage heals 1 point of damage for every 3 points of damage it would otherwise deal. If the amount of healing would cause the golem to exceed its full normal hit points, it gains any excess as temporary hit points. A clay golem gets no saving throw against magical attacks that deal acid damage.
And the last bit left is, they can haste themselves as a free action.
You may want to retcon your action based on Tsusoku's info, Ezrek.
Erin moves up to the flank and finds that her blade also doesn't do as much as she thought it would.
Tsusoku

I believe Tsusuko's seen Ezrek use bombs in the 1st part of this trilogy... "Don't use... acid..." Tsusuko notes to the now somehow flying man.
Tsusuko moves up (drawing Trusty Buddy along the way) and tries to hair the south-er statue (though has a horrible track record of doing such things to statues!)
Hair (to hit, grapple): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 Damage is probably worthless unless I crit, so I'm rolling for to-hits, then grapples. 1d4+4 on hair and constrict, if I'm wrong.

Ezrek instead throws his explosive bomb.
Fire Damage: 5d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 1, 4) + 4 + 1 = 21
Explosive Bomb:The alchemist's bombs now have a splash radius of 10 feet rather than 5 feet. Creatures that take a direct hit from an explosive bomb catch fire, taking 1d6 points of fire damage each round until the fire is extinguished. Extinguishing the flames is a full-round action that requires a Reflex save. Rolling on the ground provides the target with a +2 to the save. Dousing the target with at least 2 gallons of water automatically extinguishes the flames. DC is 18?
Tsusoku
|
Err, why don't you just use trusty buddy?
While trustworthy, Trusty Buddy doesn't use Int to hit (and damage) and imparts a -4 for being improvised. Witchy half BAB makes for a bad melee attack; +1 is not a good to-hit against anything that's not a Come-and-Get-Me Barbarian in this tier. Then at that point, you really don't want to go and hit them unless you're using reach.
I just keep him out to threaten with something adamantine since my hair doesn't use a hand the last three (I believe) golems Tsusuko has fought have rendered him 100% useless.
DM Amazing Red
That's fair. Ares can give me a reflex save to negate the splash damage.
