Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo, after the point Marines, take the Servitor inside.

"Engines, power storage systems or explosive ammunition storage are ideal locations, team leader."

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo signals the team to keep going into the ship.

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Vittore acknowledges Joshua with a sharp nod of his helm and takes point, swords at the ready. Quickly, but carefully, he moves down the corridor, trying to locate incoming xenos before they locate the kill-team. He also searches for any rooms to take cover in when stealth becomes necessary.

Morgan slips in the airlock after Vittore his silenced autogun up at the ready.

which direction are we going left or right. which direction heads towards the stern of the ship?

The stern of the ship is right, you have entered about 200 meters from the front of the ship, so around 800 meters to the very back. You are probably 1-2 decks from the top of the ship.

Imperial Fists Deathwatch Librarian Rank 1 Wounds 20/20

"Fast and quiet brothers! Stand ready to engage."

Joshua follows Vittore closely, covering him with his bolter.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo signals the team to move towards the Xyclorian ship.

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Vittore grouses, "What I wouldn't kill for a Tech-Marine...this place is like a labyrinthine space hulk, save for the fact that our enemies are Tau. Stay alert, brothers. There are many ambush points where a xeno can hide..."

How big/wide are these hallways? And what's the kill-team order?

I included the servitor.

Vittore
Morgan Shaw (?)

[Rear Line]

The Hallway can accommodate a pair of terminators walking side by side but not much more.

Astartes of the Raptors Chapter Scout Marine Sergeant / Tactical Marine

I'd probably be up near the front-line. I volunteered to take point but it seems Vittore's got it. No biggy, but I'll stay near the top of the order.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo will cover the rearguard, having the Servitor in front of him.

so why did we break into the Tau ship if we are just going to go back to the Xyclorian ship? We could have just cut through the hull from the assault pod. I was under the impression we were gonna find a way to destroy the Tau ship then assault the Xyclorians

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

I hope we find a place to put the explosives on the way to the Xyclorian ship, we then enter the Xyclorian ship, do what the Marines do best, get back to out pod, and back to fortress Erioch.

Imperial Fists Deathwatch Librarian Rank 1 Wounds 20/20

Agreed. Disable/destroy the Tau vessel while prior to completing primary objective, then exfiltrate via assault pod.

"We must move quickly brethren. The decompression of this section will alert the enemy to our presence." Morgan says as they hurry towards the bow of the ship.

we have to cut through the preasure doors to leave this section? Morgan is behind Vultur so third inline.

You will have to find some way through the door, cutting will just depressurize the next section as well.

depreasurization is only a problem for the xeno scum that don't have spacesuits.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Amen Brother!

As you guys head towards the sealed hatch, it opens with a hiss of air, and a pair of unarmed tau in sealed suits stare at you from the other side.

For unrelated reasons Brother Librarian Joshua make a psyniscience test.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo waits for Vittore to take care of the Xenos, quietly and with extreme prejudice.

initiative: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Morgan fires a short burst at the xeno on the right with his autogun. The silenced weapon chuff softly as Morgan sends three rounds into the xeno's body.

semi-auto burst(53 BS +10): 1d100 ⇒ 13 all three rounds hit
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Initiative: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Vittore shouts to himself, "For the Emperor!" and falls upon the Tau, swinging his power swords with extreme prejudice.

The Blood Angel makes two Standard Attacks, one for each xeno.

Are the tau point blank in front of me? If that's the case, I get + 30 to my WS test, which is 47 + 30 = 77 or under to hit.

Attack Roll #1: 1d100 ⇒ 2 HORY SH!T
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 8 = 19

Attack Roll #2: 1d100 ⇒ 37
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 8 = 15

+ 8 Damage for Unnatural Strength (x2).

The two unarmed Xenos are killed by Vittore.

didn't think they would last long. Oh well.

Morgan takes a minute to search the two dead xenos for items of use. looking for key cards etc.

perception(41): 1d100 ⇒ 35

[dice=perception(41)]1d100

The xenos were carrying arc-cutters and there is a pile of metal plates on a hover platform behind them.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Can we use the tools to fix the hole? That can buy us time... They think a meteor hit them, we can try to keep them thinking that for a while longer.

Brother Corbulo wrote:

What skills do have for using a xenos arc-cutter?

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Blind luck? :P

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Vittore grimaces before mentioning tentatively, "Though it is loathe of me to suggest this, we can...consume the brains of the dead xenos. We might be able to learn how to operate their strange technologies to a level of competence where we can seal the hole."

The Opophagea allows for an Astartes to consume the flesh of an enemy in order to learn certain abilities. Rulebook says that said abilities can be either information or Skills. What do you think, GM?

to stop the depressurization don't we just have to close the doors of the airlock. we could just go through the preasure door the xenos opend and close it behind us. We can't eat any part of anyone in a depressurized area. Though we may be able to figure out where to go to place the explosives if we do.

Doing this would give you at least a rudimentary understanding of tau technology

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Chow time!

Morgan's right. We can't eat anything in a depressurized area unless we plan on shoving brain morsels through some slot in our helmet. We'll have to go through the pressure doors.

"Since it was your idea brother Vittore you can do the honors. Let us move to the other side of these preasure doors before you remove your helmet though. Breathing vacum can be problematic. Morgan grabs one of the slain Xenos by the leg and drags it through preasure door. He waits for the others to join him on the otherside of the door. With his autogun up ready to eliminate any of the enemy that might happen along.

The team gets into the next chamber and somehow manages to get to hatch closed behind them.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo covers the next door with her bolter (the the passage) while the others eat the Xenos.

Imperial Fists Deathwatch Librarian Rank 1 Wounds 20/20

Joshua unsealed his helmet and consumes a bit of the xenos body.

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Vittore reluctantly takes a bite out of the dead tau's brain. "Brother Morgan, when we get back," he mutters in between munches, "I want my blood to be swapped out. I don't want to carry this xeno taint in me any longer than necessary."

"Of Course Brother." Morgan replies to Vittore's request. "Has it worked? Did you learn any thing of use? Where to find this ships power plant would be useful to know."

Vittore now has tech-use (tau) as a basic skill.

He also has a rough idea where everything is.
The ship's power plant is at the rear of the ship and takes up a large area. You will have to go down 6 decks and head aft to get to the top of the power plant.

Ultramarines Tactical Marine

Corbulo asks him where the closest power storage, explosive ammunition deposit or critical system is (life-support for example) .

Blood Angels Assault Marine

Vittore first seals the depressurized area to buy some time. Do I need to make a dice roll for that, GM?

Mumbling to himself about carrying xenos taint within his body, the Blood Angel responds, "Power plant should be...rear of the ship. Six decks and one head aft later, we'll be sitting right on top of it."

No it probably takes 5 minutes to do, 3 minutes if you have help.

Once you have sealed things up, the siren stops it's wailing. You begin making your way towards the aft of the vessel. The passage has remained largely the same a slight curve towards the roof and the strange composite walls. About every 50m is a damage control door. You pass a few doors leading further towards the center of the vessel. Your team is about 100 meters from where you will begin your decent when a door to a side passage opens opens up just in front of you and 4 fire warriors step out.

Imperial Fists Deathwatch Librarian Rank 1 Wounds 20/20

Initiative? If not: smash nearest fire warrior with Force Staff.

1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 initiative (as needed)
1d100 ⇒ 52 Melee Attack (WS 49)
1d100 ⇒ 75 Manifest Smite at fettered level (WP 63)

Fail on both
