Working on leveling up, it might be a weekend thing.

I'm wanting to put Adriana's name next to the mithral dagger since she picked it up thinking its silver but I'm worried that falls under metagaming. She's considering selling it since silver is valuable if that helps.

Did anybody claim any of the items in the fort for themselves? I should have asked before posting but Adriana is going to offer whatever the party hasn't claimed to the sheriff and Pridon's Hearth since that seems the best use for most of the items we found.

Splits doesn't use much due to the way he is. He did claim the Healer's Kit and it is already accounted for on the sheet.

Leveled up, have all the stats in and ready.

Ingame post will come tomorrow, weekend nonsense spilled into Monday. I'll make sure to be caught up.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

As requested, questions about the preparations.

Mainly that I have ranks in a very non-specific profession (laborer) since I wasn't sure what to put there to fit in with the redeemed criminal trait, and so it's just kinda sat there. Could that be useful anywhere?

Also could our magic or items be used in anyway to help the tasks? I have Bless and cure light wounds plus create water, I figured those would be useful, plus what I have in my equipment list - mostly the rope, but there's other things.

Male Gnome Nature Oracle 3 Unchained Barbarian 2| HP: 32/45 temp HP: 0 3 NL damage| AC: 19 (20) T: 15 (16) FF: 15 (16) bracketed numbers are in melee vs size medium+ | Saves F:6 R:0 W:3 | Init: -1 | Perc: 10 (low-light)| CMB: 4 CMD:18 | Speed: 20 ft | conditions: none

Rope would obviously be useful for tying down the boats (I'm presuming the presence of fishing boats).

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Sure, that all will be useful I am sure. Also, you recovered some stuff from the fort, like supplies and tools that will be of use.

As about the profession, feel free to come up with creative uses. It seems it could fit well for a boarding up check or a moving resources from one side to the other.

Note that the duration of Ant Haul is 2 hours/lvl, so 4 hours in this case.

Oh dammit! I would have cast it on people before leaving to find the other Druid.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

Woo! Intimidate came through - which also proves I need better face skills.

So my magic options aren't great but I have the guidance cantrip which offers an extra +1 to skill checks, so if somebody needs an extra pair of hands and a little skill boost let me know, else I think Adriana will be helping prep and board up houses using her laborer skill.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The cantrip spell only lasts for 1 minute, which is not enough to be of meaningful help here.

I will take your laborer skill as Adriana already had a success with a social one.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

In hindsight of course a cantrip wasn't going to last long enough, but at least the dice came through.

Are we splitting up or moving as a group to get everybody? I'm willing to lean on my intimidate skill to terrify people into getting to safety.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Does others also prefer to visit Mirya Oyin first as Ingolf proposed?

The previous scene was a bit special in that it expects the party to split up to cover more. But going forward I think it would be wise to follow the old Pathfinder advice of never splitting up. That way everyone will be able to contribute on each scene.

It does. Splitting the party is always a bad idea and I don't know why I suggested it. I should know better, I have a hurricane season where I live :P

I've never understood in universe why a troll would use a club when their claws are devastating. I understand the writer wanting to make sure you don't die instantly (cough Kingmaker) but it's always been weird to me.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

Maybe it's just the good old need to just bash stuff?

@GM - I forgot we had hero points and wanted to check, do we tell you when we want to use them or just use them?

Male Gnome Nature Oracle 3 Unchained Barbarian 2| HP: 32/45 temp HP: 0 3 NL damage| AC: 19 (20) T: 15 (16) FF: 15 (16) bracketed numbers are in melee vs size medium+ | Saves F:6 R:0 W:3 | Init: -1 | Perc: 10 (low-light)| CMB: 4 CMD:18 | Speed: 20 ft | conditions: none

@Adriana: I think you need to update your status line — I'm hoping you have more than 10 HP. :)

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Adriana needs two move actions to reach the troll, she is at a 50' distance. Also the sun metal spell will work great here, but it only has a 2 rounds duration, which means Adriana will only be able to perform one fire attack before it ends.

Thus I suggest you move with your surprise round and cast the spell in round 1 so the spell can extend to the beginning of round 3. If you prefer to just save the spell for now, I will understand and allow the retcon.

Also, keep in mind that Ingolf only has a 20ft movement rate (his Barbarian archetype trades away Fast Movement), so he won't be able to reach the Troll's current position next round.

I spent all of my spells to support the town so be aware. I will have the ability to windblast though and hopefully prevent its full round attacks.

This is what I get for rushing posts and jumping in to be the hero :/

I don't think I can edit the post but I'll take the retcon if allowed - Need the fire to last as long as possible while doing something thats either really brave or really dumb.

Also a huge thanks to Ingolf because YES I forgot to update my HP and I have to sort that out.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Adriana, we are using dice/2+1 for HP, in the case of d8 that is 5, plus your Con and favored class bonus I believe you shall be at 17 hp now.

All, yes, you all got an extra hero point after leveling to 2. Because no one has spent a point so far, you all have 2 hero points available, enough to cheat death once.

Apologies for being absent - for some unfathomably bizzare reason, my apartment had to have two separate inspections on the same day. It's hard to self-isolate when there's so many people in your house.

I'll attempt to catch up today, and thankyou for the GMPC.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

@GM - Crap I do not, I just hurried while I had a moment (It's apparantly free-for-all open house in my GD apartment today) and figured I'd do what I could to be scary.

I'll drop the attack, will my intimidate roll count?

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Ok, in the end you had an AoO, thus I took your attack as the AoO roll ;)

You can intimidate during combat to demoralize, but it takes also a standard action to do so. There are feats and traits that allows you to do so without requiring a standard action though.

If something about the last post seems surprising or you do not see where it comes from let me know and I will try to explain as there are many small bonuses and rules flying around there.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I will give Splits and Adriana a few more hours to act before moving on to next round.

I thought this would be a deadly encounter, but you are doing fairly good against a way stronger enemy :)

M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50

Apologies it's Easter weekend and my father's birthday as well so I have been getting everything ready for that.

I will most likely just fish for Guidance at this point.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

:/

In hindsight, fighting a troll was a bad idea. But here we are.

BUT before I possibly kick the bucket, @GM do you want my AoO rolls here, and will the AoO get the benefit of sun metal?

Have a safe Easter weekend everybody!

EDIT: I forgot we had hero points, but my questions still stand and I'm gonna read up on what the points do and plan my turn if possible.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

You can, and should, take your AoO in the Gameplay. Of course, the sun metal comes to an end by the beginning of the next round, and thus, it is available for your AoO :)

Also, please, pack up your AoO rolls and next round in the same post.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

I can do that for the AoO but I think I just become unconscious at the next round - took a beating after all ;)

I'll get it all sorted once I see what I can do.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Yes, you can only take the AoO, then for the following round you roll an stabilization check to stop dying.

That said, as Tonny pointed out my head went crazy, the troll only scored the club hit as he could not make a full attack. My bad, sorry for that :P

Adriana would be still standing with 1 hp, but the sun metal ended nonetheless.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

At least I'm still standing ;)

I'll have a post up in a bit to adjust for the clubbing.

EDIT: That should cover both the AoO and the regular attack. Apologies for rushing, have to handle something for family.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Remember you can get a new chance to decipher the scroll tomorrow Tonny.

As for damage, I think the only one damaged right now is Adriana with 11/17 hp

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

Apologies for being absent, It was/is Easter and it's been a mess - I hope you all had a safe and less messy Easter, and I'll catch up in a moment.

And Thankyou Ingolf for the healing!

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I am waiting for Splits, Jonah and Tonny to take their actions for round 1 :)

I mean my attack action is literally just to provide flanking, I don't expect to do anything with it lol.

If you don’t expect to deal damage with an attack, you can always try to Aid Another. Multiple Aids stack with each other, and if you can add flanking to the mix as well, you’ve greatly skewed the odds in your team’s favor. The one downside of Tonny’s build is the lack of flanking with his whip...

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

It is fine, I just wanted to make sure we all are aware of the best practices to better help a PbP game flow :)
