Shianne hears Masaru cry out and raises from bed to see goblins raising from the dead as zombies. You'll be able to act starting next round. Mary hears Masaru cry out and raises from bed to see goblins rising from the dead as zombies. She'll be able to act next round. Kerri you are still sound asleep in your tent. The two zombie goblins start hobbling towards Shianne they will get there this round but won't be able to attack. Mary has one coming at her as well. Masaru the goblin your swinging at gets another slam attack off before you can swing your weapon down. He slams into you doing another 4 points of damage. Masaru your sword slices into the goblin but it still stands.

Masaru grunts as the goblin zombie batters him, the surprisingly heavy blows sending the swordsman reeling. He grits his teeth, shocked the creature was still standing after such a powerful blow, and brandished the sword before him. He gripped the sword tightly and stepped forward, the blade flashing up and then down in a forward arc.

I awake with a start as I hear Masaru's cry. I jump up and pull my furs back up to cover myself.

This takes my full turn.


Sorry this took so long to get up...had to restart 3 times because the computer kept restarting on me...stupid library computers.

Round 2 wrap up.

Rolling out of her bedding as quickly as she can, both sai in hand, Shianne quickly shoves them into her belt and draws her sword. Kerri wakes with a start and gets to her feet and covers herself so the rest of the party doesn't get a free look. The goblins advance on Mary and Shianne slaming their bodies into the women. The one in front of Masaru also slams into the mighty Samurai. Shianne you take 2 damage as only one of the two zombies in front of you connects. Masaru you take another 3 damage as the zombie in front of you once again slams into you. Masaru grunts as the goblin zombie batters him, the surprisingly heavy blows sending the swordsman reeling. Gritting her teeth against the pain that shoots through her when the zombie strikes, Shianne grabs her katana in both hands. Her blade weaves in complex patterns as she waits for an opening to strike. Suddenly, her blade flashes out at the zombie goblin..

He cut through the zombie and grit his teeth, feeling heavily bruised from the painful battering. He steeled his nerves and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before he let out a kiah shout, charging the zombie assaulting Shianne. The fearsome samurai warrior leapt out at the zombie and his sword flashed in another heavy downward arc.

I climb out of my tent to see Masaru get barged by one of the walking dead Goblins, I start to whisper some words in a foreign tongue, "zezhuanth iri, origato sia wioti vucot wer vers di gul!" and begin to breath in. Then all of a sudden my eyes, skin and finger nails start turn to an icy blue colour, then I spit a small perfectly spherical ball of solid ice at the green man, there seems to be a cold air around me, but once I have fired the ball of ice the cold air dissipates and my eyes, skin and finger nails all revert back to their original colour.

Elemental Spit Attack : 1d20 + 7 - 8 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 8 = 9 (This is against his Touch Armour Class. -8 is for shooting into combat and cover.)

Shianne grits her teeth against the pain that shoots through her when the zombie strikes. She grabs her katana in both hands. Her blade weaves in complex patterns as she waits for an opening to strike. Suddenly, her blade flashes out at the zombie goblin and connects with the rotting flesh of the zombie. Mary will slide over and ask Abadar to heal the mighty Masaru's wounds. "Abadar, please heal this man who stands between one of your devoted followers and this infestation of unnaturalness before me. Allow him to carry on the fight to destroy this mockery of society and life." Doing so will provoke an attack from the goblin in front of her. Mary will take 3 points of damage but is still able to heal the mighty Samurai. Kerry your orb misses. The Zombie goblins attack. Two on Shianne and the one that was on Mary moves to be next to Mary again. This provokes an attack of opportunity from Masaru. The one that moved next to Mary drops to the floor, the brave Samurai severing its head from its body. One of the slams connects with Shianne doing 4 points of damage. Masaru charges one of the goblins that is by Shianne but his sword just misses the zombie.

His narrow miss sent the blade whirling past the reanimated goblin and he samurai grunted,, tightening his grip on the handle of his sword. He stepped into the sword swing and recoiled, stepping back to read his next attack. He maintained his position so that Shianne and himself had a tactical advantage on the creature. "Rest," Masaru said, dropping another heavy overhead swing into the zombie.

Seeing that the Ancestors attack missed the walking dead Goblin, I try again, this time praying to the Ancestors for a better aim. Seeing Masaru's approach, Shianne rolls to the side, trying to keep the zombie directly between her and the samurai.

Coming out of her roll on her feet, she finds an opening and tries to cut the foul creature in half with her sword, wincing at the pain in her ribs from being hit repeatedly.

Mary will continue to keep her allies alive, this time though with a burst of healing energy all around her. Holding title to her holy symbol, Abadar's blessing washes over everyone healing them of their wounds.

Mary will then move to where she can provide a flank if needed by the combatants.


Round 4 wrap up.

Shianne rolls to the side trying to set up a flank and does so successfully. Her sword connects with the goblin firmly but it still stands. Mary you channel to heal everyone in the party. Kerri your attack hits and the goblin drops. The remaining zombie goblin tries to slam into Shianne once more. The goblin slams into Shianne and does 3 points of damage. Masaru you cut down the final goblin.

Mary will go around gathering up the bodies of the goblins and drag them into one large pile. Once all of them have been gathered she will spend the next few inutes starting a large bonfire with whatever else there is laying around. Hopefully by the time she is finished, the goblins will be burnt into ashes and pose no more threats to the group.

Once the fire is going, then she will tend to the wounds received by the party.

Channel energy twice if needed. 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

Shianne watches with grim satisfaction as the last of the zombies fall to Masaru's sword. She helps Mary gather the carcases and watches them burn.

Feeling the warmth of a healing spell wash over her, she nods in thanks, too tired and sore to say much. "Guess they hold a grudge even beyond death for the pig."

Masaru assisted in moving the zombie's bodies, knowing the grim task was necessary. After the fire started burning he made it a point to wash up, cleaning his face, hands, armor and sword. The black blood of their slain enemies left stains that smelled foul. "Get back to sleep, I'll go ahead and finish out my watch," he told his companions. He would watch the fire smolder and keep a vigiliant eye open for any more threats.

Seeing the final Goblin slunk to the ground I attempt to help pull them to the newly lit fire. Once complete I head back to my tent once Masaru tells us to sleep.

I crawl back into my tent, loose my furs again and instantly fall into a silent sleep again, until woken in the morning. Where I get up, dress, wash and start to cook some breakfast.

Shianne takes Masaru's advice and goes back to her bedroll. Sleep comes slowly however, with constant thoughts of more zombies running through her head. After a time, she decides that it's not going to happen.

Rising up, she begins to pack her things and straps on her sword and keeps watch over those who are able to rest, sticking close to the others but in the shadows.


Masaru I'll need a strength check from you to try and open the door that Mary lets you know is stuck.

Mary will head to bed after the information is passed to Masaru. If this e ough sleep to refresh spells great if not oh we'll. Mary will still spend the first hour awake in devotion to Abadar. Once that is finished she will help Masaru inspect the stuck door.


I need a strength check from Masaru and/or Mary when they go to investigate the door.

if there is no problem for failure why don't we both take 20 with Mary assisting for a 26? Mary is not the one that should assist it should be Shianne. This will still work however.

I will allow you to take 20 on the door

Working together you two are able to get the door open eventually. The smell and sight of this room is down right horrifying. The walls of this room are decorated with numerous poorly preserved horse and dog heads along with broken weapons, brinepickled bodies of brutally slaughtered furry animals, and other bits of grisly ephemera. Along the back wall sits a rickety, 5-foot-tall wooden chair with a ladder built into the side. This seems to be Gutwads throne room.

As the door pops open, Mary at first is okay by the contents of the room. After the first few seconds pass the stench of the room overcomes her senses and Mary hurries away. After turning the corner, Mary heaves up the breakfast that Kerri just made for her. After about 10 minutes have passed she regains her composure enough to come back to the group. hopefully the open door has let some of the smell out and Mary is able to stand it for now...but barely.

Masaru glances to Mary but says nothing, his eyes set down into the chamber. He motions for Kerri and Shianne to follow behind them once they are alert and ready. Drawing his sword, the swordsman carefully proceeds forward.

Once I have finished cooking breakfast, I start to hand out bowls of it to people. I then pour my own last and sit to eat quietly. Once everyone has finished I wash all the cooking utensils up while Mary and Masaru check this door.

Seeing Masaru beckon Shianne and myself over, I head over to him and see Mary losing her breakfast, "Did my food not agree with you? How unusual ..." I carry on walking until I see the room, where I place a hand to my face instantly to cover my nose, By the Ancestors! What a horrible ... what? This isn't that bad ... are you sure? If you insist ..."

I lower my hand and carefully follow Masaru into the room, trying to settle my stomach as if I had had some silent reassurance.

After eating the fare that Kerri has fixed, Shianne gives her thanks and helps with the cleanup.

Seeing Masaru and Mary beckoning, she walks over, bow in hand. Walking into the hut, she looks around at all the grizzly things on display. "Definitely not your average hut. The decor needs a bit of work," she says. Her voice is void of emotion.

Once back with the group Mary will help spot anything of value or consequence. She is not going to go digging in anything however.

You guys finish searching the hut but you don't find anything of real value. You do find a door that isn't locked that leads into the chiefs bedroom. Its decorated in a similar manor but again doesn't hold anything of real value.

Once the room has been deemed safe Mary heads outside for the fresh air. Using create water, Mary creates a shower to wash off the stench that still seems to pervade her senses. Once adequately rinsed, she will offer the same treatment to the others. There is nothing else here apparently, should we head onwards to one of the other locations on the map? I believe you said you visited one of the ships already, should we head to the cave or the other ship then?

Mary will start to gather her things and prepare to slog through the marsh again. She will let Masaru guide her while she keeps an eye out on the surroundings.

I go over to my bag and pick it up, after rolling up my tent and preparing to leave. "I think we should check out the other boat, as planned. Unless it is about to rain, then the cave would be dry."

Shouldering her pack and keeping her bow in hand, Shilyn follows the others. Her eyes and ears focus on their surroundings, trying to pick up anything out of the ordinary. Before they go too far she asks, "Would you prefer if I take the lead? Masaru can guide."

By all means Shianne, if you want the front y will not hear any complaints from me. I will follow behind and try to make sure nothing comes up from behind. Good luck and be safe. We will hurry to follow you if you should need us. The other boat is as good as the cave for now.

Looking at Mary, Shianne nods her head and sets an arrow to her bow. "I will go out fifteen paces in front. That should provide ample warning should I see something yet still be close enough for quick aid."

She lengthens her stride until she is leading the others and with glances back from time to time, she keeps Masaru's following guiding directions. She keeps her pace slow and careful, watching where she places her feet to cut down on the noise as much as she can given her surroundings.

You make your way through the marsh without anything bothering you. The sounds of life are rich in this part of the marsh and there is a constant buzz of life around you. Birds sing from the trees, frogs croak from through out the murky depths your marching through. As you get closer to the ocean you see what appears at first to be a strange tangle of branches. As you get closer you realize it is in fact the moss-covered ribs of a wrecked ship. The ruined ship lies on its side, split down the middle and mostly sunken into the mud and murky water.

Those of you who want to board the ship and explore it will need to roll me perception checks please.

Shianne looks at the wreckage with a thoughtful look. "Well," she says as she puts her bow over her shoulder, [/b]"think this wreck holds anything?"[/b] She wanders a bit closer, letting her eyes scour the ship.

"We'll see," he responds to Shianne while waiting for his companions to safely catch up and ensure they had no straggling threat.
