Hello everyone I've recently lost 2 players for my Jade Regent game thats being run here on this site. Build requirements are found below and I'm looking for 1 new player. Feel free to check out the link above to see how the game is running. We're currently at the halfling shack so we haven't gotten very far. We currently have a Samari, a sorcerer, and a ninja so we're looking for a divine caster.
-20 point buy.
-level 1
-Any race or Archetypes though if your race isn't core then please let me know where the race can be found(strongly encourage a tian xia race since we don't have any).
-Average starting gold.
-2 traits, one has to be from the players guide.
-No stats above 18 or below 8 before racial modifiers. If you do have a stat below 10 I expect you to play it up in character.
-Hit points are max at first level and then rolled or average after.
If you have any questions let me know and I'll get back to you when I can. Unfortunately I don't have internet access at my home so my ability to post is somewhat limited but I do try to get on at least once a day.
I'll keep this going for 24 hours seeing how we only need one new player. This won't be first come first serve and to apply I'd like to see more of an outline of the build with a strong background tying you to Sandpoint and the person your trait relates you to.

Shalyna Alathreil |

Okay, Here's Zhang Guan-Yin, Yin if you're in a hurry. a cleric of Erastil with good and animals as her domains.
A week before her fourteenth birthday, her village was raided by bandits. Her parents were killed and the young girl was taken to be sold as a slave. For several months she was marched up and over the crown of the world. Her health deteriorated until she became almost too sick to walk. Her captives, more interested in profit than in human decency, put her in one of the carts for the rest of the trip. As fate would have it, the bandits were attacked as they approached Kalsgard and many of them were killed. Yin ran for her life.
Several hours later, when exhaustion and sickness took their hold, she collapsed on the snowy fields. That would have been her end if not for the kindness of a lone hunter.
The hunter took her in and nursed her back to health and even taught her how to use a bow, the common language on this side of the world, and even a few words of Skald. He recognized the mark on her back and brought her to a priest of Erastil after she had recovered enough. The priest taught her the tenets of the faith and even how to harness the divine energies she had been blessed with.
On her seventeenth birthday, the two men bought her passage to Magnimar. There she found some work with the local clergy, but wanderlust began to set in and she began looking for a way out. That is when she meet Sandru. She was hired as a caravan guard and proved to be a good shot with a bow, as well as good with the horses and the healing arts. It's been almost a year since then, but wanderlust is once again taking its hold on Yin's heart. She has planned to take her leave when the caravan reached Sandpoint and see where the winds take her from them.
Yin was well cared for as a child, so she grew up to almost five and a half feet, but her ordeal with the bandits left it's scars. She's a little thinner of frame than she ought to be. She has a round face that is used to smiling and her smiles often reach her gray eyes. Her long black hair is kept up and tied with a dark green ribbon. She wears long wool pants that have water-proofed leather sewn on to the knees and around the bottoms to prevent them from being an encumbrance while out in the wilds. Her tunic is the color of the ribbon in her hair and has extra padding sewn in to keep her warm and allow it to double as a gambeson underneath the studded leather vest she wears on top.
Yin is always eager to help and doesn't expect a reward. She loves legends and stories and listens to each one she hears with the same enthusiasm one would expect from a child. She respects the law, but believes that doing what is right is above doing what is legal. She is quick to laugh and slow to anger.
Yin would definitely be a support type cleric. She'll buff the party as much as she is able and then start plinking things with arrows. I can move things around, but the scores on the profile are close to how I want it. High DEX and WIS, decent CHA. I'm not sure how to play the low CON, maybe she gets the sniffles or feels cold easily. Dizzy spells?

Mary Roseblossom |

Growing up in Sandpoint. It was a peaceful and pleasant experience yet it had its share of excitement as well. Who would have thought that such a small quiet coastal settlement would have such heinous tradegies in its past? Certainly not Mary's family when they decided to settle down and raise a family. Mary's father was a traveling merchant, who after years of toiling away, managed to save enough money to purchase a small house in Sandpoint proper. Like most small towns, a new family was considered an 'outsider', but with his good nature and easy laugh, he won the townsfolk over quickly.
It wasn't long before Mary was born and the first few years of her life were lived in peaceful ignorance. For even though the Roseblossom's were now accepted member of the society, no one told them of the goblin problems in the surrounding areas. Unfortunately Mary learned about it the hard way. This the account of that day a few years ago.
It was time for the annual swallowtail festival. People had gathered around from all across the surrounding lands. There was even some merchants from Magnimar who Mary's father was speaking to quite entusiastically. His conversation was along the lines of procuring an apprenticeship for his daughter. Mary and him had talked before about her joining him on a merchant trip where he could bestow upon her the family tradition. However, being past middle age, he was getting too old to travel and share the knowledge he gained with his daughter. Thus when a group of merchants agreed to take Mary on, he was delighted to share the news with his daughter.
Mary took the news well even though it broke her heart to know that her father was not going to be accompanying her on the trip. Still it was the opportunity that both of them had been hoping for. During this first meeting a large disturbance was coming from across the field. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a goblin appeared clutching a strange looking weapon. A quick slash and the goblin was gone. Mary stood frozen in shock. Her father didn't know what happened either until he saw the blood beginning to pour out from behind Mary's hands. It was all too apparent what happened but that knowledge wasn't going to do any good. Mary was falling and would soon be gone from this world.
Out of the blue, an old woman came hurrying along. It was Koya Mvashti. Not losing her composure at all, Koya knelt down and prayed to Desna that the healing may be granted to spare this child the pain and suffereing and possible death that was closing in around her.
Through a haze Mary recognized the act that Koya performed and that act would go on to stay with her her entire life.
After Mary recovered from the gobiln attack, she agreed to her father's request and went with the Magnimar merchants. It wasn't long before the merchants noticed the distinct abilities that Mary possessed. Wether it was due to Koya's intervention or some other influence, Mary began to study merchantilism with the Abadarian priests. It wasn't long before she began to see what appeared to be unrelated incidents were actully an intricate web leading her on this path. Taking this as a sign from Abadar, she devoted herself to his cause.
Shortly after completing her training, Mary returned to Sandpoint to help her father and spread the virtues of Abadar in this small community. DUnfortunatly Mary's father contracted a disease that she could not cure. She was able to spend the last few months with him. During this time, she also would study with Koya when her father would sleep. Mary tried to learn all she could of healing from Koya. When her father did pass it was Koya who helped ease Mary's suffering.
With her father passing, Mary's mother decided to leave Sandpoint for her homeland where some of her old friends lived and could care for her. There were too many memories and she needed a fresh start. SO it was that Mary had few ties remaining to the town she grew up in and loved, Koya and her father's shop. The thoughts that pass through her mind at least once every hour are, Perhaps tomorrow will be the day that I leave and become a travelling merchant like my father. Not only would that fulfill my duty to Abadar, but that is the best honor I can bestow upon my father. Love you Dad. Hope to make you proud.

Unfortunatly one of my players just dropped out again so I am looking for another player.
Use the same creation rules as above and submit characters below. Not looking for full development just want to know general idea of where your going. The most important thing is to have a good tie into Sandpoint and the people in it(see the players guide for key people).
We have a cleric, fighter, and sorcerer right now so we're looking more for a skill monkey. So bard or rogue/ninja would fit in well. The party is still level 1.

Zander Vhiski |

Ok here is what I have so far, an Archaeologist bard. He is a human and the younger brother of Sandru.
The crunch is in the profile.
Traits I chose are Younger Sibling(Campaign Trait), and Nimble Fingers, Keen Mind
I still need to work out the background but this should at least give you something to look at. Most of my background will most likely be around Sandru's exploits as a con artist against the Sczarni. Let me know what you think.

Harold Wainright |

I would like to present Harold Wainright, a NG Half-Elf Ranger(Beastmaster/Trapper) 1 for consideration :-)
Realizing the impracticality of caring for an infant herself, Shalelu handed him along to a family whom she knew she could trust, placing him in the care of a (then middle-aged) Varisian woman named Koya, who lived in the settlement of Sandpoint. Harold grew-up well-loved by his adoptive family, and formed strong-friendships with a number of the local residents; in fact, he developed a particular affinity for Ameiko, and her Half-Elven brother, unconsciously sensing that they would be more welcoming to another half-breed such as himself, despite the fact that both were a couple of years older.
However, a few years back, when Goblins attacked the town, and Ameiko's father and brother were killed (under circumstances which are still kept relatively quiet), the bonds of friendship between Ameiko and Harold were strengthened; although she went on to have a brief career as an adventurer, Harold's heart still lay with the town in which he grew-up in, and he stayed behind. He was, nonetheless, inspired and transported by the tales she wove when she returned to town, and he began to take trips of his own, short-range at first, but then further and further afield into the wilds of Varisia, exploring the wonders (and dangers) that the world held.
Harold tends to move around the countryside, doing odd-jobs at the various outlying homesteads, or undertaking scouting missions for Sherrif Hemlock. Gripped by an eternal wanderlust, he never stays in one place for long, although he always returns to Sandpoint, days, or sometimes weeks, later, to catch-up with his close friends, and to trade stories. Naturally shy, he also has a bit of a temper; slow to anger, when he does explode, the results are volcanic. This shames him a great deal, and he makes every effort to keep a lid on it, which serves to accentuate his natural shyness, something which only his close friend Ameiko, and his adoptive mother Koya, are able to penetrate with any great regularity.

Seijiro |

I'd like to submit Seijiro, rogue. He is from Minkai originally, but has found himself in Sandpoint for a little while, having lost his berth on the Mermaid's Pearl. I will have to tweak his background some to put him in Sandpoint for a while (he was built for a different AP), and change one of his traits to "Childhood" Crush on Ameiko. He's definitely a trap monkey, and kitsune which is a tian xia race.
