Just checking in. I have to wonder what happened with the gender distribution. I know we didn't get a statistically relevant sample, but it was running 50/50 for the first day or two.

Anyways, I look forward to playing with everyone and seeing what evil AZ has cooked up for us.

For those wishing to know how gender was determined with the method I used;
this system is like human chromosomes: XX = female, XY = male.
simply roll TWO dice and look at even or odd values for each die
if both are even or both are odd gender is female,
if one is even the other is odd gender is male.

Yeah, that gender generation system should make a balanced distribution over time. At least it does in the real world.

Glad to have a new PBPer with us. This is only the third PBP I've gotten into, so I'm not really qualified to give advice. But I'm sure we'll all figure it out together.

You mean, how did we find the new forum from the previous recruitment forum? I believe AZ posted a link in the recruitment forum after posting who was in each group.

I somehow checked 3 times for the post where he broke us into groups and missed it every time.

Now that we are in groups and we see what roles we need to fill, can we tweak our builds a bit? If Somana is gonna handle the item identification, she'll be better at it than me, so I can relocate some slots if allowed.

We're caster heavy, but I think it's manageable. I haven't studied everyone's character sheet in detail, but I see a normal(ish) distribution of melee (Ava and Lao), backstop or flanker (Pharysene and Linara), and artillery (Llaris and Somana).

AZ, thanks for the heads up on the Cure house rule. At the moment I'm waiting for the results of Reflex saves come in before using any healing spells, though I suspect a single Channel Energy will be the net cast for this event.

Im having a blast so far, but this playing outside my comfort zone is freaking hard. I just want to go kick open the doors and wack whatever is out there with a big stick.

After a few weeks you'll start opening your Horizons and comfort zone.

Thoroughly enjoying the game thus far. I hope you didn't find Avalerdis' door breaking attempt as too obtuse. She's a straight forward character with a straight forward approach to problems. And with that roll, she would have broken down a lesser door!

Ahhhh the suspense is killin me.

This is going to be a weird weekend for me. Not sure if I'll be on every day. I'll probably be on, but thought I'd give you a heads up just in case.
