The Kobold casts something and then ducks behind the log to gain full cover. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
I’m reposting initiatives because after a couple of delays and readied actions, even I am getting confused now. I think this is where it stands.
Round 3
Snapjaw
Kass
Bogmother
Dasiji
Irenal
Noa
Aesantiel
Baru
We are up to Round 3 actions from Irenal, Noa, Aesantiel, and Baru.

Fredrik |

Dasiji's round 1 action was divided into two posts, with free action speech posted a little too soon, and then the rest when his turn came up. Same with Aesantiel, with free action speech and a spell-like ability pre-posted, and then a move action later on her actual turn. Kass posted free action speech on her turn, then more actions after Aesantiel, which you appear to have interpreted as her next round's actions (since posting more after your turn is over is different from posting more when your turn finally comes up). But that still just leaves us in round 2, right?

GM Brute Squad |

Like I said, things were getting confusing. Kass and Dasiji, you also have Round 3 actions. Go for it.
Yes, I did call for you out of turn in Round 2. I gave you the shot anyway because it was my bad. You hit her, so don't feel like your action was wasted.

![]() |

I think that we also need a round 3 action from the Bogmother? She cast entangle and then something else, and that's all. Kass declared what appears to be her round 3 action in the Discussion thread, so I'm going to wait to see what happens with that (if possible). I have a very long day tomorrow, so I'll post an action before work regardless.

![]() |

Baru continues to struggle against the grasping plant life.
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Should the first check have made it, he'll move 15 ft. directly west.

GM Brute Squad |

In my head I posted something for her. Can’t you read it?
The Bogmother casts something behind the log and then attempts to climb over it, at which point Kass lets an arrow loose and knocks her off the log into the bog. It does not look like she it getting back up.

![]() |

Good thing I checked the map first! I see that Snapjaw moved right up in my grill. Hasty post at work, sorry...
Round 3
FA: Drop bow
MA: Draw greatsword
SA: Power attack (with inspire courage) 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 13 Miss?
...for 2d6 + 4 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 + 3 + 1 = 16 damage if it hit.
Dasiji drops his bow, draws his greatsword, and swings wildly at the crocodile right in front of him.

![]() |

Round Four
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
The paladin gives a shout of triumph as he manages to wrench himself free of the foliage. Trudging in the direction of the crocodile, he frees his longsword from its sheath, slashing at the undergrowth in frustration.
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

![]() |

Noa demands of herself, these plants will not keep her from supporting Dasiji... Rage+4 STR, STR check +4 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Tearing free, she advances along the trail until she sees the beast's thrashing through the brush. Too much brush for a clean shot... Noa grins, and drops her bow.
Laughing a predatory laugh, Noa sprints West, vaulting over the brush that would have blocked her arrow and the branches that would have slowed her charge. Acro+4 (odd, doesn't STR add to jumps?) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 But they don't slow Noa, who lands beside the beast with a readied blade, and already into her spin!
Everything below cut for time left in turn, did not happen, left for completness, and because die roll in there.
Falchion+5(and any bonuses?) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Didn't that happen with the cat, too? My one consolation is, even though she's being useless, you KNOW these are the scenes the network puts on the promos. She just looks that good doing it. Still. Useless. Grrr.

![]() |

Baru and Noa both break free.
That counts as a Move Action, so you two can still take the other half of your turn.
Break free is half a turn? OK, I'll try to edit all that.

![]() |

A half turn, but you are still on Difficult Terrain because of the spell, so you can move 20 feet. I don’t think that gets you to your target, not that the outcome is any different. :)
Alright, I'll figure out where she can get, and put her there.

![]() |

Round 4
Power Attack with greatsword: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 1 = 4 Miss
After swinging over the crocodile, Dasiji tries a series of overhand chops instead; it's possible that the beast is very agile, but it doesn't need to be with his poor aim. He hits nothing but swamp.

![]() |

Can I see the croc through the vegetation?
Irenal watches as Dasiji flails wildly at the crocodile dancing at his feet. He clasps his hands together and whispers Infernal words to the swamp air.
He crosses his arms, flinches in his leg restraints, throws back his head and laughs in a raucous manner stunting the sounds of battle.
BAWAAAAA KA KA KA KA KAAAAAA
Cast Misfortune on the croc; DC15 will to negate; if it fails reroll attacks, etc and take lower result. (MA) Cackle, if misfortune hits then it will persist for one additional round.
strength check: 1d20 ⇒ 16
MA: half speed further along the path

![]() |

Aesantiel sprints toward the kobold.
Round 4
STR: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
double move. If close enough, charge for a grapple.
Reviewing the map, it looks like I can get there (barely) if I'm out of the entangle, but I'll have to take an acrobatics check (either way) to avoid AoO from ScalyFace.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Grapple touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 (in the unlikely event it's relevant - which apparently the dice are telling me it's not)

GM Brute Squad |

The rest of the party breaks free of the foliage. Dasiji once again swings wildly with his sword and Tiel fails to grab the slippery creature.
AoO vs Tiel: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10, miss
Round 5
Snapjaw goes after the yummy monk again, ‘cause she smells better. ;)
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, miss again
Party is up!

![]() |

Irenal finally manages to move farther along the path. He focuses his energy between his hands and his lips once again. This time cupping his hands into a makeshift horn. His mouth falls open and he bends at the knees.
Cast Ear-Piercing Scream on the croc; DC15 fort save to negate daze and half damage; 1d6 ⇒ 2

![]() |

Noa passes Kass a sinister-looking wand, then lumbers through the brush to where she has a shot at the crocogator...
Comp LB @ +4 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
arrow d8+3 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Reflex vs nasty plantses: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

![]() |

Asantiel continue her sprint for the kobold (not the croc), and attempts to bear him to the ground.
Round 5
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
double move. If close enough, charge for a grapple.
avoid AoO from ScalyFace.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Grapple touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

![]() |

Seeing the kobold lying unconscious, Aesantiel checks her sprint in that direction, and rounds on the croc with a spinning elbow to the base of the skull.
Round 5 (revised, v1.1)
Thanks to the GM for status update.
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 (from earlier)
move to flank croc.
attack for non-lethal: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24. damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
confirm crit for non-lethal: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 2 = 14, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Why, I do believe I may have just knocked out a crocodile with my bare hands. now there's a story.

![]() |

Round 5
Reflex save (at the end of Bogmother's turn): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Fail, entangled
Power Attack with greatsword (entangled and assuming that Kass is still singing): 1d20 + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 = 5 Miss
Standing in one place for so long, swinging futilely at Snapjaw, Dasiji fails to notice the swamp vegetation climbing on him until it's too late. He was sure that he finally had the croc's measure, but the impediment of the foliage threw him off -- or at least, that's going to be his story. (But he won't use those precise words, having never been much of a reader.) Regardless, the strong Ijo's big sword once again cuts the air with great force, leaving the crocodile unscathed.

Round Five
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
It's move action to break free, so I would have used my standard to try again - not that it mattered.
Round Six
On the other hand, when did I get adjacent to the croc? Forget breaking loose...
As he struggles against the clinging vines and reed, Baru lashes out at he crocodile.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Critical Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Critical Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Unforuntaly, the momentum and strength of the blow are insufficient to wrench himself free of the marsh.

![]() |

Noa continues her slogging maneuver through the mire, seeking a clean shot on the beast, and finding it, looses another arrow...

Am I missing something? I thought the croc was dazed for a round, but it acted anyway -- and now the one who dazed it is describing it as prone. I'm honestly confused.
Round 6
MA: Break free with Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Failure
SA: Power attack with greatsword (entangled, flanking, inspire courage): 1d20 + 4 - 1 - 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 1 - 2 + 2 + 1 = 7 Miss
Since all else failed, Dasiji tries sweeping his sword low -- and Snapjaw displays amazing agility, selfishly rearing up so that reeds can have their heads cut off instead. The frustrated ranger finds that he has a new nemesis, just as hard to defeat as the others. He silently vows another vendetta for this embarrassment, and so his list continues to grow: sahuagin, imps, stuck doors, and now crocodiles.

"I don' wan' a figh'", Noa says aloud, "So jus' give me back the wand, an' we don' have to talk abou' it." It's not clear who she's talking to, because she's looking at the crocodile. "For the animal, if i's a man-ea'er, if the kobol' taugh' him tha', i's go' to die. For the kobol', how's i' differen'? Maybe we talk a bi', in case i's misun'erstan'in? So then, we wai' to kill the animal? Jus' don' smile a' him.", she grins.

Coup de grace with greatsword (Snapjaw): 4d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 2) + 8 = 20
Wand of cure light wounds (Dasiji): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
...and again: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
...and wtf?: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
"I shall never allow a man-eater to live," Dasiji grimly replies. "It's not its fault, but it's a hazard to innocent travelers. And yeah, my first arrow, I shot to stun; so we can talk with the kobold before executing it -- but I don't see the point. We went to great lengths to make it clear that we wanted to just go around peacefully, and it ambushed us anyway."
The Sargavan ex-Guard swings his greatsword in a flourish, and chops off Snapjaw's head. Then he pulls out a dainty little wand -- holding the bloody massive sword with one hand -- and releases the delicate wand's healing magic with a sigh of relief that turns into a hiss of frustration. He activates it again and again before he's satisfied. "If you think you can convince the kobold to not act like that again, then sure, talk to it. If not, I think it would be kinder to execute it when it isn't aware. And I can take care of that part, if no one else will." The practical ranger speaks matter-of-factly of doing what is necessary.

"I can do tha'", Noa says, of killing the kobold. "I can see the kobol' was jus' defen'ing territory, but cou' have tangled, an' talked, an' no' sen' the crocodile." Noa heads for the kobold, shouldering her bow, still talking, "Smaller group than us, woul' have been lunch. Maybe for two."
Noa goes about halfway toward the kobold's log, and her manner changes to one of caution, as she peers about, looking for traps. perc+6 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Once to the kobold, if the creature is still alive, she binds it with a scarf, and blindfolds it with another. She searches for anything of value or utility that might be on the kobold. The tail is a puzzle, but she judges it not a real threat, and resolves she'll just stand on it if there are to be questions. "You pre'ty smar', bu' you pre'ty stupi'", she says, trying to wake the wyrmfolk witch of the wetlands.
If the kobber's already dead, just loot the body, speaking as above.
