A poor fish's try at Carrion Crown

Alright, Glade challanged Maia instead, I'll remove my posts, in game.

If you mean Nara, Daniel, you can always ask her.

its not letting me open it :3 lol. not allowed access Narah, did you want to "play"?

Sorry, kinda occupied at the moment. Narah is horrible at chess anyway, she prefers to play against men, so she use her skills to rob them of their concentration.

I just noticed a grave mistake in my background and my posts so far: I consequently referred to "Numeria" as the place where the "Subject of Study" story is supposed to have taken place. What I meant was "Nidal"... Numeria doesn't make any sense at all.

Booze, bints, and brawling. BEST RECRUITMENT EVA!!!

I'm worried, I fear I may not make with so many great characters here :(. Ah well, I gave it my all! I think everyone will remember Maia, if nothing else :).. AHHH the suspense is killing me. I am totally glad I am not the GM having to decide here.

This has been a mini rp session of all that is Borden - I hope I am selected but if not? I've had a ball.

will give the other two a chance to get their licks in.., fair is fair :) but yeah after that it's Exit Borden stage Left

Well, I did leave the stage before as well and then came back "earlier that day..." It's not pretty, but it works for a single-one-night scene.

But maybe you're lucky and Seraphine blows up. Then you still might get your cat fight. :D

EDIT: Oh, wait, she ain't there anymore. :(

The table appearing sure is one of the most original ways of introducing "picks" i've ever seen.

That last scene was getting interesting. I was interested to see what would happen, but it's kind of poetic the way it ended. Good luck everyone. It will should be a fun group regardless.

Sovereign Court

Yes. Echoing everyone else.
Good luck and happy gaming.

I was kinda glad it was ended when it was. For a bunch of characters trying to get into a "big damn heroes" game, there's a lot of conflict.

Hey... I stopped the conflict!

Well, it seems it kinda got lost. I must admit, I completely overlooked the color spray on first reading and then picked up the scene as it were. Several people besides Borden should have been in the area of effect but none made a saving throw. DC 17 is quite a number at that level. ;-) I am a bit surprised no saving throw was made at all. It was a bit chaotic...

Sorry.

@Melchior: Narah wouldn't have whipped you for a bit of water. A trip attempt on the outside, but given your reaction probably not even that.

@narah. Meh. I can angle it upward so it should only hit Borden, the one starting the fight. Maia can have a temper and the drinks wouldn't have helped it jaha. Specially when people are starting fights for nothing or wrongly accusing one. To start a fight.... lots of emotions in that head of hers lol.

I was just trying to subdue a drunk. No striking from Morthos!

Grand Lodge

Bran was going to convince, whether by intimidation or diplomacy, that he should call it a night, but there would not have been any fighting on his part. I don't think things were out of hand, but it seemed as though we were running out of ideas to keep busy while waiting for the selection by the GM. I'm not throwing any sort of blame, and I don't mean that comment with any malice, just I think we were all getting restless wanting to know if we were going to be picked. I really enjoyed most of it. I enjoyed everyone's involvement, all of whom Bran interacted with in good character I believe. The entire group would be an amazing adventuring party; sad that only 6 will be chosen.

I think Borden played his character out well, given the circumstances without any actual direction, just a tavern by the road and what might happen therein. I hope the "brawl" as it was coined doesn't count against his eligibility in the AP.

Also, it seems that I'm a Borden lawyer, but I am not Borden. I just sort of felt like he was looked down on for the scuffle that had arisen.

Not at all, I was just acting in a fashion I believe maia would have to something like that

FYI, I have posed my victims discussion thread.

Envoy's Alliance

Daniels girl got in and he didn't, guy must be lovesick.
Other than that, I don't see anyone else separated from their love.
Also to those who made it, congrats.

Yes, grats to them.
Though i must say, this was fun on its own.
So, Maia, Moroth, Narah, shall we look for another carrion crown? :)

Lets!

I half feel that I should apologise...

I would love to. *sigh* Sorry, I am a bit disappointed right now; the players who have been chosen were primarily considerate, less outgoing types I guess. With the remarkable exception of Seraphine, who would have been in my preferred group as well (based less on the individual skill, but the events in game and personal preference). Ysmeralda did some very remarkable posts, especially in the early days...

What really gnaws on me is the thought that it might have been my very final post which ruled me out. Other than that I could imagine that might have been too oppressively involving myself in everything, the sexual theme too aggressive or the fact that I had come back after I had already left. Or were my posts simply too massive? Maybe I didn't communicate my story regarding professor Lorrimor interesting enough - I simply summed and referred to my backstory and earlier posts in order to avoid repeating myself. The only other point that springs into mind is that I had difficulties picking the time - sometimes posted in past and sometimes in present, in some cases switched within a post.

But how are we supposed to find a group? I mean, we'd need a GM. :D

I was planning to suggest to continue the scene as a funeral dinner after the funeral in case I wasn't chosen. But right now I don't quite feel like it.

As long as it is only half. I liked your posts. ;-)

I may be disappointed, but that doesn't mean I'd begrudge anyone their place in the group. You guys have fun!

Sovereign Court

I'm sorry for taking up a slot. I must admit I'm surprised at the selection and I must thank the following:
Bran
Borden
Narah
Kye
for without them first interacting with me I might not have a chance to have RP.

I did keep the notes or rather Hotrek kept notes. :P

You dont have to go home but you can't stay here, Borden says philosophically as he ambles out.

---

I had fun all and appreciate it. I played Borden true to character and had fun doing so right up until the end. It seems Petros' needed less rambunctious champions :D.

I will keep submitting Borden until he gets into a game so expect to see more of him. He was originally designed for a lower point buy game - luckily I just drop his Str from 16 to 14 and he works fine.

Thanks everyone for the RP and Bran for being a Borden Lawyer :)

With so many interested players and interesting characters, perhaps one of those not selected will run a game for a bunch of the remaining entrants?

Congrats everyone who got in. What a tough decision! If anyone sees another Carrion Crown game, let's try to get in it together again. By any chance, is anyone else a DM that could run it for us?

You forgot me, glade wants to roleplay with you.

Envoy's Alliance

The real question is, if there is another roleplay test in another campaign, do we roleplay like we know each other, since the characters did meet? Or even if we do end up in another campaign together.

The guy has an interesting point.
Pardon for forgetting you glade. :)
