Welcome everybody!
And welcome to the pirate city of Riddleport! There will be good RP opportunities so I hope you enjoy those type of games in addition to combat.
In order to see who is ready to join the game, I would like you to post the following information (you can copy paste this template):
Player name:
Character PFS #ID:
Day job roll:
Thanks everybody and I hope we find some fun playing here together :)

Player Name: Chaosorbit (David)
Character PFS #ID: 90071-10 (Core) The Exchange
Day job roll: none

![]() |

Character name: Eveline Bleakrock
PFS number: 2205-17
Day job: None
Brief character presentation: Eveline is a stout halfling, and is easily one of the tallest women of her race. She has a stern gaze and a no-nonsense mentality comparable to venture-captain Ambrus Valsin. She wears a chain shirt armor over her clothes on her rather buxom frame which she tries to hide from gazing eyes to no avail, and carries a selection of handheld weapon including a quality composite longbow on her back. She keeps her curly mid-length, brown hair open, though tied into a ponytail when necessary.

Character name: Lionel "The Lion" Wynne
PFS Number: 120549-2
Day Job: None
Brief character presentation: Lionel is a big, muscled man with dark skin. A diamond stud stands in each of his ears. In his clothing, purple and yellow are predominant. On his breastplate, covered with Calistrian scenes, is the holy symbol of Calistria, always shined, even if the rest of his armor isn't. On his head is a needlessly large-brimmed hat, purple in colour, with a long yellow feather.
A somewhat unnerving grin sits on his face almost constantly.

PM sent.
I just need to level him up :-)
Brief character presentation: Numair is a tall, lanky half-elf, who looks quite ill; his skin hangs loosely on his bones, as if he has recently lost a lot of weight, and he has a sallow, waxy complexion. Despite this, his eyes burn with an inner fire, such that it seems sheer force of personality is what is keeping his body moving.
His garments, on the other hand, are impeccably tailored; he is clad in a tasteful red-and-gold courtier's outfit, and around his neck he wears a large golden gorget, set in the middle with a finely carved chunk of jade.

This is Tyranius. Level 2 Paladin Tank

I advanced the briefing but I am still making time for Reed and Ranor to join in the gameplay thread.
Bad news about Reed is I know he is having a busy time recently from a campaign he GMs to me and had been absent for 1 week without news. That is very rare of him.
Thus, and because you have been partying together for some time now, I would like to know your opinion on how to proceed if he does not show up in a couple more days. Would you like to leave the spot open just in case he comes back or updates us about his status before we go too deep in the scenario?
Or would you prefer to invite GMRex in so he keeps in touch with your party?

![]() |

I don't know Reed -- but I'm in no big hurry here. I don't mind waiting a few more days. I'll be standing by. No worries.

GM Rutseg |

Ranor@ I also thought about it XD
Not being native I am not used to cursing and swearing in English.
In the end I decided not to attempt it because I feel through reading in a forum I might horribly transmit the wrong feeling and I would not be able to see the reaction on you.

GM Rutseg |

I wish to know how are you feeling about all the descriptions I am providing about the city. Is this something which is improving your immersion in the game? Or is it rather a pain in your ass you try to fastly read through or simply skip as you go?
Please, be sincere, it takes me some time to gather the lore around and "fabricate" the posts, so I would not like to be spoiling my time in something that is not improving the game in any considerable way.

![]() |

I personally like a lively description of the city. I don't mind unnecessary details either, anything that makes the city feel alive opposed to a training ground for pathfinders.

![]() |

Agreed! I think this is one of the benefits of the pbp format you can take the time to include all the cool descriptions and add to the immersion. In one of the games I'm running I spent about 2 hours yesterday looking up lore and writing up descriptions, so your efforts are definitely understood and appreciated!!!

![]() |

I agree on the long descriptions. I don't think that it takes too much time to read the longer ones, and they do help the atmosphere a lot. Something else I've noticed, is that people get (the good kind of) peer pressure to post better and longer posts according to the GM, and that's great.

![]() |

Am I just imagining things, or didn't Numair have some ridiculously high strength score before? Is that what that "lost weight" thing is all about?

![]() |

Lannior, I don't see if you've included favored class bonus on your character sheet. Hp is d10+1 (con) and you have 6 skill points (int 10). Maybe you've forgotten about it? Happened to me too.

![]() |

Thanks Eveline -- it's actually in there I have a skill point in survival, I just forgot the (1), typo! So should be 7 skill point now. Good looking out.

To write it down in a list what Eveline means with her plan.
- Eveline climbs on board, attempts to go unnoticed
- While on the ship she tries to drop a rope ladder or cut ropes to allow others to climb top deck. Unnoticed, if possible
- If noticed, she still concentrates on getting others to join her. She has a pretty high AC, all things considered, so she shouldn't be in grave danger
If all else fails, however, one could try and sabotage the ship (read: sink it). That would definitely thwart Alejia's plans.

![]() |

I think I favor the Eveline sneaking plan a little bit more. Seems like if it works we all get on the ship easier. One person sneaks on lowers a ladder everyone climbs on board. Although the disguise plan has merits as well. Lionel disguised with some in manacles as a prisoner. While everyone else sneaks up the anchor chain? But if the bluff doesn't work it might be harder to pull off the assault.
Quite frankly just sinking the thing seems like the most fun, lol!
But I would say the stealth.

![]() |

Of course the dicebot decides to screw me over. Oh well.
Now, a 12 from stealth might not be bad, but it's definitely not good. I'm guessing, without any knowledge about medieval ships, that the anchors are lowered from the aft (behind). Depending on where the crew are, they might get all kinds of penalties (unless the scenario has set a static stealth DC) from distance and possible being distracted. But that's for the GM to decide, I'm just trying to make the best out of a crucial situation.

![]() |

GM am I close enough to Lionel to reach over the side and help pull him in or stick my bow in the water for him to grab ahold of?

GM Rutseg |

Just a heads up, I am waiting for you to decide if you depart immediately, you want to try recruit some more sailors, you want to rest, organize guard turns and how, who is helping to sail the ship, what spells are you preparing if you rest, healing you want to perform, any stop at Riddleport to shop or release the defeated pirates, etc. etc. etc.

![]() |

So the meet up is schedule to be in 1 day.
If we help sail it, it will take one day to get there.
But that means no sleep.
So we really have 2 options:
So we can leave immediately get there ontime, but with no rest.
We can recruit some sailors, who theoretically will cut the time down and also allow us to sleep.
That sounds about right?

GM Rutseg |

That's it. Although because you went through the investigation part in only one day, you still will reach the meeting point at night, so you will have until they proceed with their plans during that day.
The later you arrive that day the most probable they have carried over with the plan.

Hi folks! Just letting you know, my laptop just died on me yesterday. I'll be able to post at the university computer center, so it should be alright, but if I'm the last one to post, please feel free to bot me. I'll do my best to get a post a day, however. Working on one now.

GM Rutseg |

I have the chronicles ready, do you want me to hand them now or do you prefer me to wait a bit until we have played up the end?
Let me know about any Faction goal you would like to be checked for completion and added to your chronicle.
Also, I did not ask in the beginning, is there anyone advancing in slow progression?
