She attempts to bludgeon one of the things that got to close with her left fist. She had a mean left hook, but it probably wouldn't do her much good. Shooting didn't. In the midst of the melee, she looked around frantically for something to bludgeon the dead with, keep them off her.

Just fighting wasn't working, it seemed. And Paul was right, he tried to physically drag Sterling back towards the group, knowing that he likely was not the strongest person there. It didn't matter, though. What did they have in the way of environment to defend themselves.

Sterling wades into the undead, getting hit from multiple sides. Neri leaps after him, trying to pull him back, swinging his half-sword.

As Sterling is hit by multiple claws, and blood begins to stain his already rumpled $1200 armani suit, Sterling's eyes begin to look more and more yellow. Next to him, Neri's eyes begin to burn with an internal flame.

As Neri's eyes begin to burn, a soft ching ching sound begins to echo with every swing of his abbreviated sword. Then the sword shatters on the shield of a skeleton with a sword and shield. The sword is swung down toward Neri, and he instinctively tries to block with the now shattered blade.

The skeleton's sword shatters on thin air, causing a very loud ching ching sound. Flame erupts from Neri's hand, flowing up into the shape of a sword. The flames rapidly solidify into a long broadsword with 9 heavy rings in the back of the shaft. The rings ching ominously. The dark metal of the blade has a red sheen to it.

A sudden 'thwap' sound comes from Sterling's hand as he points at the dead german soldier. The soldier jerks, a wooden shaft through his black cross, right through his heart. The corpse topples over backwards. In Sterling's hand a mechanical crossbow forms of golden light, golden metal on a dark black wood. On his arm, a dozen bolts also coalesce out of golden light, fastened to an arm sheeth.

The yellow square on the 2nd bar is glowing. So is the red star on the first bar.

Neri smirked having not heard the sword hit the ground, then immediately felt a wave of exhaustion pass over his body. He reeled backwards, moving away from the undead as best he could, letting Kong take up the forward position... unaware of the fact that the blade had disappeared.

They were "supposed" to embody their picures. There weren't any lances or shields around, but maybe that wasn't the point. In a flash, she realised that feeling the rage would probably let her do what Neri just did. She'd had to cool her anger to think, though.

Right now, the only thing she could feel was panic as what vaguely resembled a mummified leggionare attempted to stick a half-disintegrated gladius in her gut. It's front teeth snapped together in front of her face.

Sterling reals backwards, and presses his hand to the bar with the glowing yellow square. The bar doesn't grind back into the stone... instead it simply collapses into dust. There's now a gap of about 15 inches on the left hand side of the bars. Enough for people to squeeze through one at a time.

Neri stumbles into the bars, and presses his palm to the other glowing symbol. The second bar collapses into dust, allowing everyone to escape the growing horde of undead. As they exit, even more undead begin to claw their way out of the dirt of the cavern floors.

Fortunately, the undead seem unable to move past the gate. Even with two bars missing, they shamble and hiss at the gate, unable to step past it.

Once out of the cavern area, they find themselves in a small cave that leads out to a larger chamber. This chamber has 3 vents that look vaguely volcanic that have 3 foot flames pouring up, the color of the flames vaguely blue. Air rushes up from the heat, vanishing up through holes in the roof. This causes a light wind to rush through the chamber. The sound is actually fairly soothing.

There are two dark exits, more caves, at right angles to the cave the group comes out of.

There is a large sparkling pool opposite of the group, bubbling softly as water rushes up from below and then flows out through a hole in the back of the chamber. The pool has a great many minerals built up around it, giving it the look of a fountain.
