I'll be right back." he mentions loudly for the group to hear. Taking a deep breath, Ashrem dives under the surface and starts exploring the wreckage.

Amamer swims up in front of the creatures and calls on the power of the waters. A moment later a cloud of colored bubbles pours out of her mouth, washing over the creatures.

Seeing Amamer moving to attack the sea creatures before swimming too far away, Ashrem moves to the edge of the coral and throws one of his daggers at the closer of the two reefclaws.

"Hopefully Kroop can cook these two up deliciously for us tonight." he replies to Sandman.

Amamer |

Amamer floats slowly to the surface of the water, face turned up to the sun, doing her best not to show her fear.
After a moment, she shakes it off and grins at Ashrem.
"Race ya!" she says, diving and swimming towards the wreck - an absurdly unfair challenge, with Touch of the Sea still active.

Allie "Cat" Calico |

"Drag them over to the reef. We can fill the pots with them, instead of measley little crabs. That ought to make our nasty ship's officers a little more friendly.... I hope..."
Allie drags two of the crab pots along the upper arm of the reef towards Connor.

"Hey! Wait up!" Ashrem shouts as he looks at his dagger inbedded in the reefclaw and back at Anamer speeding towards the wreck. With a sigh he leaves the dagger and chases after her.
"Can you guys take care of them?" he asks, pointing at the fresh catch before diving in.

"I wonder if that old drunk cook knows how to prepare these things," Allie wonders aloud. "Otherwise, I'm sure it will somehow be my fault if they taste bad," she says with a pouting tone.

"We probably ought to stash as much of this as possible, before getting back to the ship, or else Mister Plugg or Mister Scourge will probably try to claim it as their own. if one of you could hold the chest up above the water line for me, I can try to get a look inside. Whatever we find might be able to be hidden in the crab pots amidst the meat," Allie suggests.

Allie looks the chest over to see if it is locked or trapped.

Allie produces two small, thin metal rods from somewhere within the confines of her bodice. She begins working on the lock

The mechanism gives a click, and Allie laughs with girlish glee. She places the metal rods back within her bodice and motions to her companions to open the lid.
"Dammit!" Allie screams as....

Allende |

Allende helps Ashrem with holding the chest for Allie. Holding his coin he says. "Allie, may you have cunning and quick fingers of Besmara" And Allie feels a little more confident in her trapsmithing.

"Pay day!" Allie exclaims jubilantly. "We've got gold, and we need to hide it. This chest won't do. It'll be spotted in a heartbeat. Quick, everyone circle around and hold out your hands. This will only take a second."
Allie reaches into the chest, grabs a handful of coins, and quickly starts counting them out to her companions, giving each of them 20 gold pieces and keeping 20 for herself.
Once the chest is emptied, she motions to Ashrem to toss it back in the water.
"Okay, hide your coins wherever you can," she says in an uncharacteristically competent tone. "If you want to stash them in the crab pots, I'll bring them to you at rum rations. We should probably stash the potion bottles, too."
As she talks, she very adeptly begins tucking handfuls of coins into various places of her clothing, including a couple of very unlady-like ventures into her cleavage. Once finishesd, she says, "All right then, let's head back."

About halfway back to the ship, the weight of the gold, plus the full crab pot becomes too much for Allie. She struggles to keep her head above water, but only manages to gasp, "help!" once before she goes under. She kicks her feet hard, trying to get her head back above the water. Action: Allie begins to hold her breath.
