I'm gettin' tired of seeing those stupid Space Rats!
Pazio is going to kill a lot of games with these server delays.
*Telv
Unfortunately, robots don't care about the timing and flow of narrative.
Damn you Robots!!!!!!!!!!!!
Connor of McIntyre
All the downtime at the Pazio servers means I didn't see the last week's of posts! Will post tonight!

I'm still recovering from Hurricane Florence, myself. It wasn't bad until Monday, when we got 3-1/2" of rain in 6 hours. My front and back yards are still muddy and soggy. I've got twig-sized branches everywhere, but nothing big.

GM smashed his hand in between the truck tailgate and cap cover this week, severely bruised right middle fingertip (purple under the nail) and scraped a bunch of skin off. Hard to type, so sorry about that. Feelign better now.
Connor of McIntyre
Ouch, mdt. You be more careful!
mdt
To all my games :
Sorry everyone, things have been really hectic RL. After smashing my hand 2 weeks ago, my right hand (dominant hand!) is almost back to normal, other than the middle finger which has this odd numbness in the tip (I apparently crushed some nerves, so will need to wait for them to grow back). Additionally, as of last Thursday, I had to move my Dad to another assisted living facility. This required me to spend all day Thursday picking up, transporting, and assembling 400 lbs of new Ikea furniture (with the numb digit). Then Friday was all day moving him into the new place, and assembling the rest of the furniture. Finally, Saturday I pretty much slept through as I was in tremendous amounts of pain (working on a freezing floor and lifting heavy stuff with a bad back for two days). Sunday I spent all day again working on his room.
I had to put together more furniture, this time for my Mom, Monday. And finally, today was busy all day doing errands (groceries, etc) that I hadn't done all last week.
I will try to get all the posting done tomorrow. Apologies again.

Hey real life happens and comes first. Glad things are on the mend. We are here when your ready :)
Vim tel'Gossamer
Yeah, that's a lot! Take care of yourself and come back when you're good!
Connor of McIntyre
mdt, we love your game(s)! Health breaks are not a cause for concern. Family issues come first, as well. Just don't get depressed and close everyone off.
We're still here, waiting for the next interaction! Get better soon!
Flann Swallowtail
Yeah, no pressure. We'll be here when you're ready.

As it turns out, Hurricane Michael was fiercer than expected, especially at my house. I've got 1/4 of a 40-year-old ash tree down on my side property now, a ruined apple tree that almost came out by the roots in the back yard, and lots and lots of debris everywhere. Plus 2 inches of soggy rain. And my main Internet is out - I'm on Wi-Fi backup.
I'm going to be using the chainsaw a lot over the next couple of days, so I might not post again until Spectrum fixes my cable modem connection and I get both front and back yards presentable again. That'll be next week.
But don't let me stop anyone else from posting!
Flann Swallowtail
I'm at a loss for what to do.
mdt
Sorry, GM got roped into helping two members of his meat game group get married, this week. They didn't plan anything until Thursday for a Saturday wedding, so I've been so busy I haven't been able to post much more. I'll get something up this weekend.
*Telv
Sounds like a violation of the 5 P's law.
Connor of McIntyre
I'm still waiting for a Spectrum technician to come out to my house, and my Wi-Fi is 80% used up for the month. But I am getting a lot of chainsaw experience!
*Telv
Chainsaw experience stopped being calculated in 1891, after the switch to Lumberjack 2.2.
Connor of McIntyre
After 3 chainsaw chains, the thickest parts of 60 feet of ash tree are now cut & moved to an elderly couple's home for free wood furnace heating for the winter!
And my carpal tunnel flares up again.
The first 30 minutes of a brand-new chainsaw chain are the best. After that, you are back to "pushing the chainsaw through the wood". If the chips become dust, it's time for a new chain. Or the chain keeps popping off the bar too much.

To all my games :
Apologies for the lack of posting. October was... not fun. Life sucker punched me, and while I was distracted with the bloody nose, Fate snuck up behind me and beat me with a baseball bat.
Things are clearing up, but it may be after the holidays before I have the energy to post regularly.
On the good side, it's looking like I may be employed before Christmas again, so yay.
Again, apologies for falling off the face of the earth, just... as I said, October was not a good month.
Connor of McIntyre
No problem, mdt! Hope everything gets better and better for you!
Vim tel'Gossamer
Yeah, man. Welcome back-- take your time. Cheers!
Connor of McIntyre
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

To all my games,
I'd again like to apologize for the lack of posting in October/November. It was about 30% physical, 30% mental, and 40% situational. I don't want to go into all the details, but I really did need the two months to deal with life and recharge my batteries. I spent a lot of time running around doing job searching, a lot of which included driving for 6-8 hours a day doing job interviews in Houston, which is a 3 hour drive for me. I almost had to move to Houston to get work, as I was not finding anything in Austin.
I do have good news though, all the hard work was worth it. I had two job offers arrive within a 24 hour period right before Thanksgiving. I am happy to announce that as of yesterday, at 8AM EST, I am now gainfully employed again with an international company. Best of all though, I am not going to have to move to Houston for it, I can stay in Austin and travel as needed while working remotely.
My health, and the health of all my family, is also in a much better place as of this week (other than a really nasty chest cold that made the rounds in the house, and for which I'm still hacking up congestion from).
Thank you for your patience, and I hope life is going well for you also.
MDT

Congrats, glad to hear, and Welcome back!
Flann Swallowtail
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
*Telv
congrats on the new job!
mdt
Thanks all.
I have posted an update in the game thread. Everyone went back to town after dinner, other than Connor, to look around. Since you went after dinner, the only places really open are the taverns, eateries, and brothels. So those investigating or just taking in the sights end up in one of the many taverns (unless you want to go to a brothel, which we won't go into detail on).
Connor of McIntyre
Great to hear on the job offers, mdt!
Hearing you in Austin, TX is a newsflash. I grew up in Round Rock, Texas, from age 5 to age 12. That's the "little" town 15 miles north of Austin, now the hometown of Dell Computers (before they got bought out by Lenovo). My mother's family is still around Temple, TX. My uncle had to move to Houston about 3 years ago.
Anyway, on with the game!
mdt
Yep, I know RR. There's an Ikea there we go to every once in awhile to get something we can't get anywhere else. It's about a 15 minute drive from me, we're on the north shore of Lake Travis.
Luck with the job search SD. For an economy with 3.5% unemployment, I'm hearing nothing but complaints about difficulty finding work.
Connor of McIntyre
Distlate Basically distilled moonshine, Orvginia triple distills their moonshine...
Ouch! Resist toxin, maximized!
Feel free to make up some random bits of nonsense to relay to Connor at a later date
THANKS A LOT. Next time, Hero goes with Telv! And start working on that Sense Motive skill, Telv. Like about 8 ranks...

Merry Christmas, everyone!

So I am posting from work:
Apologies about not posting sooner, but I have been down internet wise for roughly a week, and will not have internet back up yet for a week or so.
This means that I haven't had internet for the last 4 days (as we had 4 days off at my work for the holiday).
It's been...an experience where I learned that I use the internet more than I thought I did.
With all of that being said, I will try to post from work as I can, but if I am in your game, please bot me as needed.
If I am running your game, please bear with me while I try to post when I can. Hopefully, sooner than better, but I want to be up front about this issue.
again, I apologize about the delay.
Connor of McIntyre
And Happy New Year!
Flann Swallowtail
In the context of this game, they seem to be the primitive na'vi, stubbornly hoarding all the unobtaineum. We need to deploy the psionic mech suits and colonize the natural resources.
*Telv
Sorry, I didn't specifically mention it, but I am back....No internet for like two weeks over christmans and new years was...not the kinda present I wanted.
Fortunately I managed to find something to pass the time, but still.
mdt
I'm doing good, trying to absorb a ton of new information.
I was waiting until after new years anyway Telv, so no worries. Long experience has taught me that Dec 22 to Jan 3rd are basically non-posting weeks.
And other than seeing a few dwarves around in their travels, the group has zero knowledge about them other than :
1) They like gold.
2) They usually live underground.
3) They really like gold.
4) They're short and stumpy, and usually fowl tempered.
5) They really really like gold.
6) They don't generally get along with elves.
7) They really really freaking like gold.
8) They drink a lot, and they all have beards (the ladies too, you think, although you aren't sure as you don't know if you've seen a female before).
9) Did I mention they like gold?

If you mean, with Brew Potiion feat, you would actually make power stones.
If you mean your alchemical 'spells' for personal use, those are chemical and work the same.
If you mean infusions (your spells you can hand out) those would need to be made up as power stones and handed out.
