Yyyyeesss! The squeaky wheel gets the grease! High five, Adran!

Okay, Connor will take Leadership. Getting to 4th level powers means psychic reformation, which means Connor is now like a wizard and able to change his powers if needed, but with a heavy penalty for a day. It's more of a "downtime" power or for emergencies. I like to call it "the Doctor Who power".

Of course, Connor made Strength and Charisma his "dump stats", so his CHA modifier sucks. (Yes, it's a zero.) More INT means more power points, so even leveling to Level 8 and getting the stat bump moved from INT to CHA means losing about 3-4 power points per level. And putting a "1" in CHA at 10 doesn't mean much. Where's the headbands of alluring charisma?

mdt, I'm hoping you'll give us a few narration back-and-forth before we show up at the city's doors. I need to look up the name of the woman that gave us this assignment. Should we level up our character sheets right now or wait for the next sleep period? 'Cause Connor is down to 4 psionic power points.

I think rather than trying to figure out how to multiclass, I might take the Amature Gunslinger feat with the Deadeye Deed, so I can shoot against touch AC...

I'm using PCGen to level up because I'm a Pathfinder newb, and when I did the stat bump to INT for level 8, it looks like it retroactively gave me skill points for previous levels. That's not right, is it?

Everything else went up minutely. Astral constructs are still Medium-sized, they just act like a 6th-level Fighter now instead of a 3rd-level Fighter. Two attacks per turn.

I'm going to wait for three days on the Elephant to re-do Connor's and Hero's powers using psychic reformation. I am aiming to get energy adaptation, specified instead of cleanse body (which Flann has). The nice thing about psychic reformation is that now I can get almost any power I want, and power stone it for later. The psionic equivalent of a scroll caddy!

Flann: I thought mdt had special rules for guns in this world that already hit against Touch AC, not Normal AC. Hence the panic in our first battle in the city when the lead bullets started flyin' around.

As for the points, I've never had skill points be retroactive.

Skill points are always retroactive in pathfinder, it was not in D&D.

So yes, that is correct.

The stated aim of the PF developers was that it should not matter what order you took your levels in when creating a character at Level N, or when you got your stat bumps, your character should always end up the same with the same levels and stat bumps, no matter when/where they came at. So a eighth level character with 17 Int who went Rogue/fighter/fighter/fighter/ranger/ranger/ranger/Rogue (+1 Int Fourth) should be the same as a character who went fighter/fighter/fighter/ranger/ranger/ranger/rogue/rogue (+1 int eighth) with regards to skills, abilities, hp, and languages known (this means you also gain a retroactive +1 language).

As to firearms, yes, I have a custom firearms rules that are in the campaign page. Use those rules.

I don't see a difference in the Armature Gunslinger feat or Deadeye deed...

Deadeye lets me attack touch AC at ranges beyond short range.

I'm going to compare that to multiclassing Marksman or Gunslinger... Two levels at once really seems like the best opportunity I'd get to play out that kind of thing...

Flann, you're missing that advancedcartridge firearms (which is what you're using) use touch AC at longer ranges, so I'm not sure what you need Deadeye for...

You did *read* the custom firearms rules yes?

(Hint : Cartridge firearms use the first 3 range increments as touch AC)

EDIT : Remember, we are using a custom version of Gunslinger as well. If you do want Deadeye, you'd use that one (it basically costs 1 grit per range increment you increase the touch ac range by).

After much reading and waffling...

I'm taking two levels in Marksman (sniper)

I guess Flann has become really interested in gnomes, because he can now speak gnomish.

The class and +1 INT gives me a ton of skill points to become good at flying, gunsmithing, acrobatics, even better at stealth and perception, and pretty okay at escaping and reading lips.

Taking marksman means point-blank shot might free up another feat? I've got Unnoticed (might have a chance of stealthing away in the first round of combat) Network Power (I can use non-healing personal powers over the network) and Cushion the Blow (I can spend psionic focus to minimize incoming damage)

Max 53 PP, Max 63 HP, F/R/W: +8/+10/+13
Plus, my ranged attack is a +10 before weapon and range modifiers.

Yes, if you take a class that duplicates an existing feat, you can retrain the original feat to something you could have taken legally at that level of feat (IE: if you took it at first, you can retrain it to something valid to have taken at 1st).

Would Favored Weapon apply to both the rifle and pistol forms of the sniper pistol? Said another way, are all firearms one category of weapons for the purposes of favored weapon?

All firearms count as one weapon category. So a fighter using fighter weapon training treats all firearms as one of his weapons for fighter training.

I think favored weapon works the same as the fighter training yes? So if so, then yes, it would work for both forms.

I can now take animal forms when I use fluidic body, and my fluidic form duration increases to 8 hours, and I gain another use.

Telv, have you given any thought to what it means to stay with our group? Like the layers of an onion, we're:
1.) merchants
2.) trying to stop/kill/nullify a Lizardman named Grimjowl who wants to become King of the Air in a pirate fashion, and has swallowed a soulgem that both gives him powers right now as well as turning him into a Balor if anyone is foolish enough to kill him
3.) secret agents for a non-secret but aloof society that shuns magic (arcane and divine), and expresses psionics as solely the only "safe" specialness. The magical storms that make all magic items blow up like dynamite sticks tend to reinforce that policy. Secret agents against who? The Surface world below the flying islands of Atlantia, as well as inner faction conflicts.

So far Connor, who may or may not have been changed to show up as "divine" magical, may fall under that policy. I've been avoiding it by avoiding the worst of the islands. With Telv's background, I dunno how high on the "magic meter" he would show, especially since he may not have direct contact with his father, unlike Connor and Tenfa, who can evidently make certain items "go quiet" when she is informed.

I think we've got at least one Grimjowl battle on the way home, plus a dragon flight (7+) or two that may be patrolling the area. I would have liked to have Volita as another Shaper for astral constructs, but oh well. Or our previous elvavian with mechanical wings.

But if Telv signs on with us, (I privately call us the Misfits of Psionics), I'm hoping to have even more secret missions together!

Telv was created by a divine source, but he certainly doesn't have divine powers. I would probably say that he has a strong aura (ala the cleric class feature) that matches his the alignments of his "father" (Telv doesn't really get the concept of "creator"), but he certainly doesn't understand how the world works very well.

In a lot of ways, he's like an intelligent ooze: He only gets social interactions in the broadest strokes, he doesn't understand why people would lie or disguise themselves, and he's really trusting if you can manage to talk to him.

Since you guys saved him from the god-level bag of holding prison, he'll follow you around, and if one of you asks him to do something he likely will, but he will likely ask inopportune questions about things he doesn't understand, and as you will see when we meet people, he has no real talent for lying.

Treat Telv like you would a dog you like, and we'll get along just fine.

Ok, thinking huddle. We got four wishes - which one fits the Regent's request?

Connor (fire) - destruction only
Adran (earth) - heal, to build, or to destroy
Flann (air) - move, to change, or to destroy
Telv (water) - sunder, to change, to learn, or to destroy

You have to grab the ioun-like-stone and make the wish. If we can touch a person with one of our stones, we can wish him or her into the Prison of the Elements. That's about all we've been told about these stones.

I'm not sure how to answer the Regent's request about "Dargasium", but if it involves a touch attack I'd rather not be the one to make it. We're supposed to be going home to Atalantia's floating islands ASAP when we get back, or wait out the days for repairs to the Wandering Elephant before leaving.

Yeah the class is good at what it does, but what it does is scout, deal with traps and fight. Doesn't have any flashy tricks. I should be all leveled up.

Int went from 13 to 14: Picked up Autohypnosis max ranks.

Feat: Deep Focus

Skills: added +2 to all. Class bonus to Perception (traps), Disable Device, Stealth and Track all went up +1

New suit configuration to MW Full Plate instead of Chainmail.

HP was 71: Max is 10 + Con(was +2 went to +3), Favored class +1, Finding a Friend +1 so.

10+3+1+1= 15 and 15. So 71 went to 101 and con went from +2 to +3 so +6 from previous levels and new psionic feat +2hp for total 109.

Think that covers everything. AC is pretty bad for our level but DR 5 helps. Can also Retaliate now twice in a combat which could help sway things. :)

Deep Focus is basically "backup focus", right? Useful for the fighter-types that have to expend their psionic focus to get an effect on their weapon, etc. I had a Psychic Warrior in another campaign who could have used that, he was always triggering his psionic focus for Psionic Dodge or getting +2d6 with Psionic Weapon, then needing a round to get it back.

Description: Millicivit is an usual goddess, who brings together many unusual people. It is said that politics makes strange bedfellows, but in this case it's religion that seems to be doing it. Millicivit appears as a human on the cusp between youth and matronage. Her body is, well, lush would be a polite term. Her clothing changes on her whim, but it is always designed to raise the desires of those around her as much as possible. While most mothers and matrons might not approve of a brothel publicly, they will quite often have a small shrine to Milicivit in their homes, praying for her to bring their family peace, prosperity, and growth. Especially growth.

Organization: Millicivit has temples in almost every city, and it's rare for even small hamlets not to have a priest or priestess somewhere around. Those who are of a mind to disparage the goddess would call her temples brothels, for it's quite common for her priests and priestesses to trade physical pleasure for coins. This also results in her temples being rather well funded, and protected, against those who would try to solve theological disputes with swords.
However, Millicivit's clergy is also one of the most commonly seen doing good works for their fellows. Not just those done in the temple for paying customers. Millicivit's temples feed the poor, find homes and schooling for orphans, turn out in times of emergency to minister the sick, and generally do as much as possible to strengthen the communities around them.

Pantheon: Millicivit is part of the Human pantheon, although she has never turned away a petitioner with coin in their pocket, regardless of race. Nor has she ever turned away a true believer, regardless of race. There are rumors that some of her temples have quite a varied racial makeup, for the right petitioner. Millicivit is a daughter of the dead god Homa, and the dead goddess Romilla. She is the sister of Fobaran and Alcinea, and the aunt of Kalvara and Ambergriss.

Red, pulsating red, with a pure white ribbon running through it.

And ALL temples are outside the city, too many inter-religion squabbles when they were inside the city walls.

The other religions are always complaining that Millicivit's branch is cheating, since every brothel in town is a 'temple', but as long as the brothel's don't hold organized services (don't ask how to distinguish, most people aren't sure), the Regent proclaims them not temples.

Deffinately some flare.

By the way, your contract was not to make one wish for him. Your contract was to go to the prison, release one and only one prisoner, get two wishes, and use that one wish to deal with Dargasium, and your pay was the one other wish.

What you've basically done is try to renegotiate to get more than half the wishes. He'd have kept the spirit of the agreement, each getting half, but what he actually contracted with you was you get one wish. Now he's pissed.

I *did* make a very big deal about how the city is full of Mercenaries, and how they are really big about honor and keeping your deals when you make them. Never try to renegotiate with a Mercenary after the fact. It never goes well.

And when I need to roll a "20" on Diplomacy the dicebot plays his usual games.

Actually, as for telling too much, we've got a High Priestess in the room. She might be able to tell if we are lying. And Connor doesn't care about keeping wishes, but getting home in one piece. He's got what he thinks is the worst wish - fire/destruction. Good for making a wall of fire a hundred feet thick around Grimjowl's ship, but not much else, in his thoughts.

We're going to have to use at least two wishes on this Dargasium, probably three at this point if he/she/it has any defenses. I know people want to use their wishes for themselves and not the plot (here's Volita's argument again), but the plot is not leaning towards that much freedom yet.
