Promethean Disciple & Trompe l'Oeil

Rules Questions

Hello, I have a question about :
Promethean Disciple (Occult Adventures pg. 112 (Amazon)): An alchemist with this discovery learns how to craft constructs by way of alchemical research rather than arcane magic. The alchemist gains Craft Construct as a bonus feat without needing to meet its requirements. The alchemist substitutes his number of ranks in Craft (alchemy) for his total caster level and must use Craft (alchemy) to create the construct. The DC to create the construct still increases for any necessary spells that the alchemist does not have access to (Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook 549). However, the alchemist can use extracts in place of spells as spell prerequisites. An alchemist must be at least 6th level before selecting this discovery.

A trompe l’oeil is created from a masterwork painting of the base creature, with a cost varying on the size of the subject.

Trompe l'Oeil CL varies (equal to the trompe l’oeil’s HD); Price varies (100 gp per HD plus cost of painting)
Requirements Craft Construct, animate objects, enter imageAPG; Skill Craft (painting); Cost 500 gp per HD plus cost of painting

Must the character have the skill Craft (Painting) to creathe this construct or not ?

Why is the price inferior to cost of creation ?

Thanks for your answer.

The "100 gp" in the price is a typo in the Archives of Nethys. The d20pfsrd entry has the correct "1000 gp" text.

A skill listed after the requirements is the optional skill (or skills) you could use instead of Spellcraft, or in your case Craft (alchemy). You can ignore it---as long as you've procured the necessary mwk painting itself of course!

Is it possible to create a trompe l'oeil with Hit Dice above 20 ?

Are there a mean to augment the caster level to create the construct above the 20 th ?
